It is a dollar twenty five now, but still worth it. Crafts, cooking supplies, holiday decor. There is so much to choose from. As a teacher this place has saved me a lot of money. There is paint for projects, so many cleaning supplies. It is addictive when you go in there!

Prices have gone up but not by much. Definitely wish they would carry a bigger variety of medications and more nail polish stuff but it is a great place for people with very little money

This Dollar Tree's employees are not that friendly or helpful, except for Kailee. Also, it is very small and does not carry a great selection of items compared to other locations. Aisles are very cluttered & unorganized. The good thing about this location is the checkout lines are short & you can get in & out the store quickly.

The staff were pleasant and friendly. The balloon orders can really hold up the lines in any dollar tree. I was able to find what I needed and get in and out for the most part. The store wasn't the most presentable dollar tree that I've been in but maybe it was an off day.

There’s a manager that works here that is very ignorant and rude. When they get promotional items in she will tell other employees not to put them out and if she finds them on the shelves and customers at check out she will come right up to you and snatch them and say “I bought these already I told these people their mine!” This store has gone down hill with her there. Wish I could give this place -5 stars.

I went to Dollar Tree for some great deals. It use to be a real whole dollar but now every item is $1.25 Yuppp it went up like EVERYTHING ELSE!!! 🤬🤬

I go in here 1 to 3 times a week to grab some ice teas from the fridge and a few candy snacks to hold me over on night shift at the plant. They usually only have 1 or 2 tellers at any 1 time and some elderly customers so don't always expect a quick check out. Overall it's a much more organized and peaceful dollar store than what I'm used to seeing in my home town of chicago

I ordered balloons for my niece's baby shower and ask that they be ready at 10. Not only were they ready to go they were decorated beautifully into a nice Tower of balloons. Thank you so much to the great staff on 119th Street and Whiting

My family went to visit this location on Thursday, March 7th around noon. The manager on duty accused my son of stealing and demanded that he “put it back” before she called the cops. My 14 year old son was in shock that someone would accuse him of stealing so he questioned what she meant. This “woman” told him she wasn’t one of his little homies and he wasn’t going to talk to her like that. By this point my son is upset and told assured her he didn’t take anything. He emptied out his pockets and then the lady claimed he must have put it back. She claimed my aunt told him to put back what he was trying to steal. When my son told her to go ahead and call the cops and she was going to look dumb when they saw he didn’t take anything, she then changed her tune and said she wasn’t going to waste the cops time over $1. My mom said she didn’t seem to have a problem wasting their time accusing my son of stealing. She said other things under her breathe and my son said she was being racist. She then said they could leave her store and walked away. This absolutely disgusts me. How dare a grown woman accuse a child of stealing then when proven wrong, not even apologize. Instead resort to being racist saying she isn’t one of my son’s homies. We will NEVER go back to this store and I truly hope Dollar Tree reconsiders the type of garbage they let manage their stores. No disrespect to any other location or manager, this comment only applies to that racist ignorant woman.

The Whiting Dollar Tree is one of the best in Northwest Indiana. Clean, isles unobstructed, well-stocked, and the staff is congenial & friendly. Despite limited parking, it's a Wonderful Shopping Experience !

The parking lot is dark as sin and dangerous. A few street light and replace or repair the store outdoor light can fix it. For under four bucks, cheap-o !

Had a very unpleasant experience on 3/7/19 approximately 9:30-10am. We always come to this store because up until this day the manager and staff were great. The new female manager made accusations that were not true and when we told her she should’ve called the police if she was certain that what she was saying was true she didn’t do it and scoffed and walked away but not before making a racist comment about “Not being one of our homies”. This is totally ignorant and racist. I called Dollar Tree’s corporate office twice leaving a message about what happened on Thursday and also took their survey so I could leave a comment for them to call me back and have yet to hear from anyone. I cannot believe they have people like this in management positions. They need to get rid of her. We will not be going back to this store and I will tell everyone I know about this. Word of mouth is the best - and WORST advertisement a business can have. 👎👎👎

I went here during Pierogi Fest and even during a busy period such as the fest items were fully stocked. I went in for water bottles and they had buckets of them at the front in ice.

At Dollar Tree the name says it all. Everything in the store costs one dollar. Under such strict pricing constraints the quality and variety of selection s offered is limited.
