I placed an online order for a cake through the bakery on a Friday needing to pick it up the next Friday. The order was initially accepted. On Wednesday TWO days before I was set to pick the cake up I got a text that the order was canceled. I called and the lady told me the cake decorator was out and they had no idea about my order until it popped up on the computer. I don’t know how the online cake ordering system works but I feel like they should have known before two days prior on an order. Regardless I was extremely upset and frustrated I had to find another cake in two days for an child’s birthday party. Thankfully Payless on the west side was able to fit me in last minute.

This store has no idea how to properly keep inventory of trading cards. Day after day all they have is bare bones dry selection that nobody wants. You’d think they would catch on and realize the sports cards shelf is empty 99% of the time and start keeping it full.

Pros: Sometimes there is a butcher staffed in the meat area to serve custom cuts. They have some items I cannot find at other stores and send me coupons so I come back once every 1-2 months. They also have baggers on some cashier lines. Compared to other grocery stores in the area, there is some room for improvement. My visits have found the store sometimes not as clean as other stores (ex: messes on the floor), out of stock of items, and a very long wait in the cashier line. Prices are also a little higher than other stores in the area.

Meijer is fine, but don't ever order grocery delivery from here. The service they use, Shipt, is the worst I've encountered of all the food delivery services. Based on my experience, you have a 100% chance of your delivery being several hours later than the time you choose and you have a 50% chance of not even getting your delivery and having it cancelled as you wait to find out what the heck is going on. I've ordered from half a dozen grocery stores since the start of COVID and no one else has this kind of trouble, especially now that the demand isn't even that high.

Best supermarket in West Lafayette. It's 10 years old now, but I remember when it was being built. Great selection, friendly staff. Some prices are good, some are a little higher, but they do carry a lot of stuff.

I usually love this store. However today was my first encounter with the pharmacy. The woman behind the counter was rude and not helpful. She walked away in the middle of the transaction. Acting as if my questions were bothering her . I had asked 1 question and started the conversation with I have a few questions to ask.

Really loved the shopping experience. Better than Walmart and Sam's club in regards of cleanliness and arranging stuffs. And you can get items here that are out of stock in other stores

For some reason this is my favorite grocery store in Greater Lafayette, even though objectively I realize it’s in desperate need of new management. They don’t seem to grasp the concept of supply chain management at all whatsoever, and at least a third of the items on my list are out of stock every time I go there, even more so for sale items. The self-check registers are buggier than most stores’, and they need about twice as many. On the other hand, if you check the sales and coupons you can probably get the best prices in town, and they have the best selection of produce (although the produce as well as other perishables are frequently only a day or two from their best by date). I’m also a big fan of the shop & scan feature, which is a huge time saver. I know they have something similar at Payless but it’s ridiculous to have those clunky scanners when practically everyone has a phone that can do the same thing. If only they could figure out how to keep their shelves stocked (trivially easy in this day and age) I’d have to reason to shop for groceries anywhere else.

This is such a nice Meijer location. The parking lot was easy to get in. There was ample parking. The store was very clean and well organized. The bakery section is very nice as well as the produce. They have great prices and have many things on clearance also.

Always love going to the West side Meijer the staff is always super friendly and helpful. I know nothing when it comes to flowers and gardening and the lady out there helped explain everything to me and helped me pick out some beautiful lilies and even some cat and dog deterrent plants to put out around that will help keep all strays and our neighbors cats safe. Again I can't stress how super friendly and helpful the staff was!!

Very wide range of products from international groceries to kitchen appliances to even pet fish. I would say it is on par with Walmart in terms of the size but has better produce. Even though produce is not bad, I would prefer if they had a better variety of organic options.

04/22/24- I come here a few times a week. I take my walk and shop their clearance and sales items. I always find something I can use.This store has employees that are usually happy and willing to help. The store is clean and it's easy to shop.They have a few cashiers and a lot of self stations. The front end manager is not the friendliest and lacks people skills, but if you avoid her you're ok.

The review below was from the past. I'm down grading it again to 1. This is another case where they baited and switched the price. This time it amounted to a $30 difference. On a very busy day, my wife was told to take a picture of the shelf posted price. She did while I stood at the check out with people wondering why I just stood there holding up the line. When she brought the picture of the posted price they adjusted it. I've been patient when this happened once or twice. It's now happened more than a dozen times. It was explained to us that prices change so fast that the people on the floor can't get them changed quick enough. That's their problem. It shouldn't be my problem. I'm not shopping at Meijer again.We go here all the time. I have given this a higher review in the past but I'm editing that today from five star down to three. Today was the third time that we have seen a special price on the shelf that didn't ring up the way it was posted. Two of those times were buy one get one free, but they didn't ring up that way at the cash register. This third time I took a picture of the buy one -- get one free posting in front of the product on the shelf. The person came and gave us the amount of money as coupons to make up for the difference. I'm saying look out when you shop here because what they post on the shelves doesn't always come out the way at the register. Even if they give us the discount, it takes time. People are waiting in line behind us and that's not a fun experience. If this continues to happen we have other places to go.

The checkout assistant in the express Line named Linda is rude. When I expressed a sign for buy one get one 50% off was placed in a misleading location, Linda insisted since it says apparel in small print it was good and walked off. When calling her back to take the second item off she was huffy. After removing the item my wife said thank you and Lind continued to walk off not saying anything. Linda returned with a sign to point out the word apparel, when I explained it was the placement that was the issue she just was rude. I asked to see her supervisor. Lauren came to assist, Lauren was kind, walked with me to see I was talking about and acknowledged what I saw. If you want this negative review down, give Lauren a raise. You can also use this as a data point for Linda, I'm sure their are others.

It's fine if you're buying groceries that is. Otherwise what we were looking for we couldn't really find very many of them. My daughter was looking for a pair of headphones for an Apple iPhone and there was none. So she had to get what was there. She doesn't really like the gummy type of headphones. The store does not really have a very good selection when it comes to that type of thing, unlike Walmart. We just really don't shop Meijer very often, because of this kind of stuff.

Went last weekend and only one person on checkout with a long line, but had enough workers for four people to stand and baby sit self checkout to make sure nobody was stealing. Hire more cashiers. Unacceptable.

This store is always clean, there were several checkouts open and moving quickly. The only disappointment was some items were out of stock. It was a big sports weekend for the area, so part of it may have been due to tailgating parties.
