Oh, this place was amazing! The rooms were so luxurious and pretty. The view into the giant rotunda was amazing. They had so many cute little shops to go into. The spa services are awesome. The staff was so friendly and amazing. I didn't mean a single person who wasn't smiley, helpful, and wonderful.Rooms: The rooms were very fancy! I felt pampered! There were so many pillows on the bed and soft robes hanging in the closet. I loved it!! Also, we managed to book a room whose windows looked out into the center rotunda of the hotel. That view was really cool.Food & drinks: There are several dining options that range from affordable to expensive. I like that they had different choices.Noteworthy details: The spa was so amazing. While I was there, I was wishing I had the kind of lifestyle in which I could do this on a daily basis! 🙂 It's probably a good thing that it's 9 and 1/2 hours from my house or I would want to be spending spa money every weekend! Honestly if you're thinking about going here... stop thinking and just go. It was amazing!

This is a place that once you’ve been one time you will continue to come back! I am far from the fancy type heck I don’t even like golf if that says much but this place is amazing.. The sights, details of the structure and the outside landscape is all something you take in upon arrival. The staff is always nice and willing to do whatever to please the guests. Clean rooms, an indoor pool and outdoor pool both are ( heated )…If you are looking for things to do there are quite a few different options here in west Baden without even having to leave the building. If you want a great experience that will have you coming back for more then this is what you need to see for yourself!!

We popped in for breakfast in our way out of town. The food was delicious: I opted for the house made cinnamon roll that comes in a 5 inch skillet, really good and a nice size. The applewood blueberry sausage links were super good too; but maybe the show stealer was the complimentary blueberry crumble. The atrium is not to miss, and is massive. Pretty quiet in the early morning. Walking the gardens, the Neptune Spring is active and worth finding! The overall Southern feel was warm and welcome. Highly recommend checking it out.

We just can't help ourselves! We continue to visit over and over! The beauty is breathtaking. Not just the hotel with all of its history and art and grandeur but the beautiful gardens and the beautiful area of which it is located. It is a time transporting experience. The rooms are elegant and spotless. The employees are warm and friendly. The shops are filled with interesting things to admire. The pool and hot tub are clean and comforting. We sat in the atrium for an hour without realizing how much time had passed. We enjoyed the changing of the lights and the harp music...and people watching. It is sheer magic!Nearby activities: Take the shuttle over to French Lick to appreciate the architecture and maybe even gamble in the casino although shopping is more my style. They , like West Baden, have beautiful shops.

Just had the most wonderful anniversary weekend at West Baden Springs Hotel. Rooms are very clean. Atmosphere is very quiet and relaxing. Staff was excellent; very friendly and helpful. We got couple massages at the spa and it was very professional, clean, and an overall amazing experience. We also did a trail ride at The Stables and was very impressed with the staff and our trail guide. The hotels have a lot of interesting history and are visually beautiful. If you are looking for a quiet get away, this is perfect!

This is the most beautiful hotel I've ever been to in my life. I love how you walk in and everytime its just mind blowing how amazing and beautiful it looks. During Christmas time I love how the giant Christmas tree is right in the middle of the floor. When we stayed there while Christmas time we left the curtent open so that we can look at the Christmas tree while we were falling asleep. I love this hotel so much its by far my favorite hotel ever. We will definitely be coming back here.

Amenities as nice as we remember. We should have been made aware of the horrendous construction noice going on from 8 a.m. to about 6 p.m.It made sitting in the atrium intolerable.Thankfully the weather was nice and we could sit outside. There should be a built-in discount for not being able to enjoy the atrium normal ambiance.Rooms: Good

The West Baden Springs Hotel is a testament to the grandeur of the past, a place where architectural beauty meets the rich tapestry of history. This opulent hotel, often referred to as the "Eighth Wonder of the World," is indeed a must-see destination. Its massive atrium, a marvel of engineering and design, spans 200 feet, enveloping visitors in a breathtaking dome of light and elegance. The sunken gardens, with their manicured landscapes, provide a tranquil oasis that harkens back to the leisurely pace of bygone eras. The hotel's natural springs, once famed for their healing properties, add to the allure of the property, inviting guests to ponder the health-seekers who traveled far and wide to experience their restorative powers.Beyond the visual splendor, the hotel houses a museum that chronicles its storied past, from its origins as a luxurious retreat during the early 20th century to its meticulous restoration that revived its former glory.Even if you're not staying as a guest, a stroll through the grounds of the West Baden Springs Hotel is a journey through time and a feast for the senses. The property is not just a hotel; it's a piece of living history that continues to enchant visitors from all corners of the world.

Mid December 2023 and bugs infested our room!! We had unpacked and were about to go to the casino when we noticed all the bugs on the ceiling and furniture. It was so gross!! Not impressed. Then they moved us to a room right across from the elevator - so noisy!! Awful experience! Bartender was grumpy and miserable- complained the entire time about having to work. Next time, I would try the French Lick Resort instead of West Baden.

I know it's the Holiday's. The noise from screaming kids in the atrium, wow!!! This is not my first time here. I've never been to such a high end hotel and had so many inconsiderate parents allowing their children to screech, scream, hoot holler repeatedly ever during quiet time!!!! I go to children's museums and it isn't like this!!! Like where is the staff reminding these inconsiderate parents that it is quiet time and we could be disturbing other guests! I got woke to children at 545am hollering echoing thru the atrium and it continued on....Definitely was not a relaxing peaceful environment!!!

Just there for lunch and to look around. Lunch was fantastic for all of us. Cute shops around the entire circular building. The ceiling is fantastic. Unfortunately the some of the windows in the dome were broken in a terrible storm that went through the area so they were working on those during lunch which wasnt great but thats ok.Safety: They had parts of the great room blocked off under the dome where they were working.Food & drinks: Caesar salad, white wine, chicken salad plate (pictured) and west baden salad with salmon were great. Water and 'snack' we received when we got there were much needed. Snack was a bowl of pretzels, bagel chips, wasabi peas and sesame sticks!

I can't speak to everything because we just went to explore it and the other French Lick Historic Sites. I have a serious fascination for Guilded architecture and I was not disappointed. Beautiful grounds and the interior has a fantastic dome that has great significance and there is a movie from 2022 filmed there so I was sold. The other hotel has a great casino but that would be a fun diversion. There are also several restaurants on the grounds that range from casual to gourmet. Also, this hotel is dog friendly in the extreme. If you are into travel and have the means, your dogs will have way more than the usual postage stamp to walk around. Both hotels had beautiful pools.Note: I am reviewing this based only on my experience. My husband walked through all the same stuff and was annoyed I picked the destination. We went there for a weekend and he would have done it all in 3 hours. The town is pretty small but there are several wineries and parks in the county. I would look on the tourist website for the area.

The atrium was beautiful. The little museum was interesting. The entire area was overrated. For a location that depends on past glory to stay in business it's sorely lacking.Noteworthy details: Nice architecture

As many other reviewers have noted, this property is simply elegant. The last day we explored the upper floors of the hotel and saw the lounges on each floor. The second floor lounge above the reception area is something from the 1920's. I went to college in Indiana and remember seeing this place when there were thoughts of demolishing it. As an engineer, I appreciate the effort that has been put forth to get it back to the way it is now. Well worth the trip to see. Staying there is pricey. Were were there for a conference and had special rates. The free shuttle to town is a nice feature.

My wife and I took a weekend getaway to West Baden Springs Hotel. We loved learning about the history of the hotel and seeing all of the original and restored aspects. The food around the area is amazing. If you are looking for a great place to get away, I would encourage you to check out the West Baden Springs and French Lick Springs hotel!

Simply beautiful hotel full of history, great food, so much to do here, I highly recommend it especially near Christmas 🎄 they go all out on decorations and singers dressed in historically accurate clothing singing Christmas songs, with the polar express running from the locally historic train station, tons of fun and magic for the whole family
