Very nice grocery store. I prefer it to the place out by the highway. They have everything the box store has, with better service at the deli and meat departments. Plus, it feels good to give my money to a store which is at least a little more local, even though it isn't that local. On top of everything, you can stop by Orschelns afterwards.Highly recommend.

Rude staff and an empty deli counter with no samples. Heaven knows I can't help myself but get a sample and buy whatever lovely item they have to sample. But now, with no sample and rude service might as well go to Walmart they don't have samples, and have rude staff as well.

My daughter ordered a cake for my 40th birthday online and when she went to pick it up even after receiving an emailing stating they received her order the lady working the bakery that day said no one gave her online orders so my cake was not made!

I just ordered a fruit and vegetable tray from Washington Jay C Food Store and loved the young lady that took my order, I think her name was Heather. I need to state that customer service is so important to me as that is what I have enjoyed all my life. I want to praise her, great customer service. Thank you, your assistance was great. The workers are usually friendly. Great produce section with lots of variety, reasonable prices, and fresh produce. Turkey Hill ice cream is my favorite 😍.

All the employees are so nice and friendly. Everyone is more than willing to help.u if you need it. I'm.very impressed that the employees especially the cashier's are FRIENDLY. I won't shop where the cashier's don't greet u and thank you. I will also add that they are quick. We are all busy and a fast and friendly cashier makes your day better. I want to mention one cashier that has all those qualities, her name is Gloria. I hope u will recognize her for helping my your store the only one we shop at. Great job Gloria!!!!Thank you all!

I love having a grocery store like this JayC in Cherry Tree Plaza, that does not make me walk miles to pick up food. I have always found the employees to be friendly and helpful. There are often good bargains on meat or chicken, in the manager's special section of the meat counter. (I have not used the specialty departments, like the hot deli counter, or having the store bake a special occasion cake.)

Called three weeks in advance for a cake order for my sisters baby shower. Confirmed I would be buying a stork cake since the party theme was storks. Called the day before to once again confirm. Waited 40 min on the phone before getting answers. They said the stork cake would be ready. Went in the store 30 min before time to once again confirm. They told me they still had 30 min. Came back 30 min later and the cake had an elephant on it and not a stork. I was beyond mad. They didn’t even offer me an apology for ruining my sisters big day.. will not be coming back to the bakery of this store.

Well stocked, clean, & friendly. Staff is not always knowledgeable on technology features offered in App or able to assist. The meat is lower quslity. However, the local small town charm is there with "bag boy" grocery assistance, free produce and cookies for the kids, and always a worker near by to assist as you shop. This place is a classic wholesome down home grocery store.

Generally I do not have a problem, but there are at least 3 items that are either no carried anymore or not in stock. On top of this, I went across town to go here and while I was up an aisle looking for an alternative product, my cart was taken. Since it wasn't that long I looked all over and aggravated my arthritis. I had to reship all my items and received no acknowledgement or offers of help from the staff.

Every one, staff, workers, and other shoppers were friendly and helpful. When checkout became really busy, other cashiers came and opened another checkout lane....and of course, they ALWAYS ask if you need help by taking out groceries for you!

Hot Deli Service and quality of food -- Don't go for supper to their hot deli. They may or may not have any food in their hot deli. On 11/11/20 They had plenty of fried chicken -- 40 or more pcs. The worker picked thru the chicken, picking the smallest and most damaged pcs she could find, she picked a wing that was no bigger than a 50 cent pc and had no breading at all, a breast that had no breading or skin on top...then no gravy for potatoes, they were out. Took 10 minutes to pick thru chicken, 5 minutes to find another box for pot wedges and then couldn't find a container to put other side in -- two lines at checkout open backed up to aisles no 15 item checkouts open. I said never mind and left the store. I had been there 45 minutes before to pick up 1 item and stood in checkout for 15-20 minutes at least. The Hot Deli anytime 4 or after that i have been in there is less than desirable for anything for supper meal.

FIVE STARS JUST SO THIS GETS SEEN LOWER RATING REVIEW IS AT BOTTOM. *STORE THAT DOES NOT CARE ABOUT SCREWING OVER THEIR EMPLOYEES!!* SOME OF THE EMPLOYEES THAT ARE VERY WELCOMING AND HELPFUL. moral of the employees in the store has been declining and the customers can tell this. Corporate store or not the "big guys" need to remember the employees make them rise on top or fall to the bottom. Make sure to take care of your employees and not screw them over. Jay C food store took money from their employees without telling them or letting them know in advance. Employees found out by opening their checks to see money took out by the store. Do not support the "big guys" that dont care about the people working for them! Maybe a heads up and small amounts each check would've at least been better instead of a large sum from the store screwing up and giving the employees a raise and sunday pay not the employees fault. Some amounts took from their employees vary from $70 to over $100 out of ONE CHECK. How is the employees to live or support their families when money is just removed from their checks without notice or any warning at all.

I am very disappointed! I called the first time and was on hold for 25 minutes and got disconnected. I then tried to call 3 more times after that to order food and no one bothers to pick up the phone!
