Didn't expect a place like that! 50's decor! Hamburgers, french fries, ice cream and salad. Super clean! The employees were very nice.

Drive through is Open for season again now! Sign says dining room will be open again soon. Great treats and delicious crinkle fries, burgers aren’t so great, chicken is decent. Mostly we go for fries and treats, surprisingly fast service and they are super friendly!

A fantastic local grill with great ice cream! Drive thru only currently but a sign said they are working on opening up inside dining. Food was excellent, mozzarella sticks are a must, and the vanilla shake was very tasty. Highly recommend trying this place if you are ever in the area

great fish 🐟 on rye sandwich and Ice cream 🍦 is sure too sweeten the tooth. Great view while you're dining in, with the 50's theme what checkered black and white tile and old Coke symbols.

Great shake's! It was my 1st time there. I see why the cars wrap around building. If parking lot was Set up like a car hop type like Sonic , I'm sure the line in drive thru would hold a rhythm not clustered or if drive thru speaker was further from window that distance would allow more time for ordered food to cook without pulling ahead out of line to park until ready Good service

Our family likes stopping in here about once a week. We get a large variety and the food has always been consistent. We had bad service here once but that's it and it was more incompetence than rudeness. One time in about 50+ visits is pretty good. The staff is always nice. Our only complaint is they close during the winter (end of November to February) and we have to find some other place to get a quick bite. I only complain because I have chicken strip basket withdrawals.

Love this place the chicken sandwiches are to die for and the floats are also to die for. I’m glad I experienced this place cause I will be a regular customer when they open back up. Service may not be fast but your food is right, hot, and it is tasty which is hard to find these days. Wendy’s, McDonald’s, and places like that don’t take the care that mom and pop places do they are more about pushing out food good or bad. So this place is refreshing compared to fast food.

Nice little place to have in our small town. If they are busy, sometimes you have to wait a little bit to get your food. But the wait isn't bad enough to keep me from giving them a 5 star rating. The family that owns this and their employees are all really good people. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone. The grilled chicken sandwich is what I usually get.

Not as good as when it was a Dairy Queen. Never know when it's open with the pandemic going on and it's still drive thru only for that reason. On the plus the food is great. Pacer burgers and fries are awesome, 3 thick juicy burgers plain or with the works, milkshakes will make remember the days when that was the places specialty.

Will not answer their phone. I believe they still haven't opened their dining room. It's Saturday, and another weekend attempt with no phone answer.They're 20 minutes away and every time in the past year they have been closed or drive through only. I personally prefer food not in my car and not dripping ice cream.

The owner is an absolute delight! Love the decor for it's always nice to travel back in time. The only thing I could see putting this over the top is an antique car show. We will be going back real soon.

Kind of expensive for what you gor. But was only thing open and we were starving. Place is cute and clean. Staff very pleasant. But 2 burgers 2 fries and 2 cokes 15 bucks. Wendy's is better tasting.

Food is alright. The meat patties on cheeseburgers are about 1/4 inch, with big buns. Drink selections are quite limited. Staff is lovely though.

This is a roadside delight. We came in very late and although it was not very busy, I could see that at times it would be. I can imagine with the food as good as it was, there would times it may be difficult to get seated. They had a big selection of grilled and fried food that would put many chain burger/dairy spots to shame. Their ice cream we did not have time to sample, but I can see making the two hour motorbike trip over from Louisville to do so even if we were not passing through. This was our first dinner out of town on our motorbike honeymoon trip and we were not disappointed at all. Service was fast and very friendly.

Service is friendly, but really kind of slow. Food is decent, but a little pricey. Awesome atmosphere with a retro American diner feel. They actually have a. vintage-style jukebox!

This place has great prices and a really good menu selection, they have a little bit of everything. Their hurricanes and shakes are amazing!!! They also have a wide selection of desserts and treats.

Went to get a banana & hot fudge milkshake. Also wanted to get my furkid a pup cup of ice cream. Milkshake could've had more fudge in it and I think that if they began offering treats for pets, they could increase business like Dairy Queen does!

Oh now this place has the best of food and icecream. A 50's deco and friendly workers. They have anything from burgers to fried mushrooms and about fried anything. If you like breaded tenderloin, come hungry or share cuz it is about the size of a hubcap! They give generous amounts of food, so enjoy. They have hard serve icecream and soft serve. What a treat. They also have a drive through and all their food is cooked as you order it. Even if you need an icream cake, they have it right there. We camp often about 5 minutes from it and cant wait to go there as soon as we get hooked up. I highly recommend Shells and cant wait till Oct to go camping again and visit!!
