It's not a bad little local grocery store... Has the basics u would need at least minute and of course with it being the only grocery store in town ur going to be paying prices u don't wish to pay but you will to avoiding driving 20 miles to the next town with a grocery store. But I have came to notice with this store it's all about who owns it..

I came to UGA to buy a tomato and I was floored , they charged me 2.49 for a small tomato. The sign said .99 and I said to the cashier it says .99 but he didn't even care and charged me 2.49 . I was ripped off by a business who just doesn't seem to care about it's customers. I will be buying my food somewhere else from now on.

I paid with my debit card. The cashier said you have to sign and I said not with a debit. She got someone from customer service to see what she did wrong. The older woman has worked there forever. She got in my personal space,up in my face and ask what the problem was. I told her all I wanted to know was my card charged or not. She said no. I called my bank and I was charged .09 cents. I left loosing .09 cents and no groceries. I will NEVER go to Vevay IGA again. Horrible customer service. That Grey haired older woman did it for me.

This is a decent little hometown store in which I love I don't like that they are slowing trying to update it like the mannequins that used to be in the store for years I have not seen my daughter loved them and was the whole reason we shopped there lol 😆 the employees are super nice and the deli clerks don't take all day to slice 1 pound of ham unlike Tandy's in Rising sun or to even ask u what they can get for ya... I recommend this store to everybody ....

This is a nice little grocery store in the small town of Vevay. The employees are always nice and helpful. They often have good sales going on with decent prices. Their meat is always nice and fresh. The store is always clean. They have a mechanical horse outside that young kids can ride for free and the kids love it!

I went there one day to pick up a couple of things while on vacation, other people that I have spoken to tell me not to shop there because it's old or very out-of-date or spoiled. That's not a good sign when people that live in the neighborhood around the place don't really like to shop there because of that.

This is a great small town market. Friendly and helpful staff. The shelves have plenty of stock although they usually have little of the store brand items.

IGA hasold rotten food that outdated. And nothings ever on sale when several of their products are overpriced :::: go to Abner's for a gallon of sweet tea ,they carry it and it 3$:less they are gougers

This place is so expensive! The produce is hit and miss when it comes to freshness, make sure you check dates before buying products it isn't uncommon to find expired food. Shelves are almost bare as well.

This store has no wheelchairs or electric carts. The only one they had broke months ago and the owner refuses to get it fixed. In a small town with a large elderly population, this creates a hardship. People are forced to drive to Madison 19 miles away to get items they could pick up in a few minutes in Vevay. If you are handicapped save yourself the trouble!

This place is disgusting. I am currently working on a lawsuit against the IGA due to discrimination of disabled and pregnant women as well as slander. The manager is violating not only my civil rights but the rights of disability act for public service. I would suggest a boycott how ever the people living in a small town who cannot travel would starve as I myself am pregnant and have no food at all to eat affecting not only my health but the health of my unborn child. The manager should be ashamed of herself and her disgusting behavior. She obviously does not have the capacity or common sense to run a business. How ever after consulting my lawyer I am confident that not only will she lose her job due to her malicious actions but will be tied up in court, fined and a disgrace to the community as a whole if she continues to break the first amendment and public service laws of indiana. I also have quite a few friends who work there who have went out of their way to gather financial information proving that a store employee has committed fraud against me as well as other citizens by charging extra money from debit cards used at the store. In turn this lawsuit may end up shutting down the whole store. Thank you IGA, you will be paying thousands upon thousands that you have stolen from your trusting customers. 😊

We were checking out the cereal aisle when I saw a gallon of warm milk sitting on the shelf. I handed it to my teen who took it up and told the cashier someone had sat it on the aisle shelf. You could feel it was warm to the touch. I see my daughter coming back and right behind her is the cashier with a jug of milk in hand. I'm HOPING she's going to hand it to the deli department to destroy but something tells me no.I turn round and we go into the next aisle and watch as she sits the WARM MILK in with the cold milk! It was WARM. Like balmy day. So warm there wasn't any difference between the jug of juice and it!I called and asked if that was standard practice. They said no, and that she was new. But everyone knows warm milk goes bad. We haven't shopped there sense. I simply 1 don't wish to risk picking up some kind of food that common sense dictates should be properly handled and they've hired another person without common sense.What if a child, an elderly person or someone with an immune compromised system drank that milk? I had shopped a few other times and the staff were very friendly and welcoming and it seemed genuine too. The manager was particularly friendly. Even as I lodged the complaint about the milk she was apologetic and respectful. I think there needs to be some serious what if scenarios and role playing with recent and future hires to avoid situations like this.

Never stocked, try to sell outdated stuff all the time always grab from the back of shelves. Prices are nearly double what they should be owner takes advantage of the small town knowing the nearest competition is forty minutes away.

They run sales then they always got an excuse that was the wrong price. They charge twice the amount. They have one price on the stuff and charge a higher price at the cash register. Worst place to shop. Plan and simple

The produce selection leaves a lot to be desired nor is what's there fresh. Perishable products are very near their expiration dates even as they are being stocked on the shelves.

I enjoy this hometown store more than the big box stores. Their prices are mostly good. By the time you add gas it's about the same as going to bigger stores.
