Now, there's no secret I love Jay c food stores and Kroger too, but the in in North Vernon is poorly organized, difficult to navigate and NO ONE that work there will make eye contact for for you'll ask where to find something. It dirty floors, and dusty shelves, dear God! That being said it's usually decently stocked and shares the sales.

Pharmacy ready with prescription, nice pharmacy tech. Had 3 lanes open even though they weren't that busy. Very nice to have that when other stores barely have one lane open when they're busy. Small store so not as big of a selection, but staff pleasant and helpful.

Love getting the deals. People are very nice. Clean store. Fryed chicken is not good anymore, and the recipe has changed. Kfc makes better chicken than Jayc does.

Always a great deal when buying boneless whole pork loin and the meat department is always more than happy to slice it up and tenderize it for me . The staff is always very helpful 😃

Got chicken strips from the deli. I had no idea you could make chicken that tough. I've had jerky easier to eat. JC used to have the best friend chicken in town, I'm sorry that's not the case any more.

I am on a special diet because of an upcoming surgery. JayC had what I needed, Walmart had practically none of it. Thank goodness for JayC.

Bakery sucks. Put my cake order in on the 23rd. Scheduled for pickup today. Plenty of time to make a simple cake right? Apparently not. They tried to tell my husband they never received an order when we have the confirmation email. Now I can't get the cake until tomorrow...sure helps with the parry scheduled for tonight doesn't it?

I just tried their again rotisserie chicken, it was amazing. So much better than the last time I got it. I don’t know if they have new people or if their machine got to working better. But this time the rotisserie chicken was worth wild. So happy, they improved.Thank you so much for getting improving your service, I hope it stays that way😊

Could use better quality produce and more variety. I wish they wouldn’t have taken the butcher department out. Also hours have been reduced. Also better check the dates on everything before you buy. Unfortunately I have bought several expired items not paying attention.

If I could give JC store in North Vernon and their pharmacy 0 stars I absolutely would I absolutely would I have been trying to call the pharmacy for 4 days to check on my prescriptions not whatever answers the phone so I called JC to ask them why and they were more than happy to tell me to go fill my prescriptions elsewhere what kind of customer service is that

Love our small towns grocery store, have to give a lot of credit to the deli and bakery folks. Our company places large orders every week and they never fail us. Always fresh and the friendliness is very much welcomed. Great selection of organic products. Highly recommend your local Jay C Foods!

The Jay C's Floors in "SEYMOUR" are SOOOO FILTHY... Both Jay C's in "SEYMOUR have DISGUSTING FILTHY Floors.Why are the Floors at the Jay C's in "North Vernon" so CLEAN and SHINY. But, the ones in "Seymour" so Disgusting ??

Living on disability means living on very little money. Jay C goes a long way in helping me stretch what I do have. I have to drive 28 miles to get there but the savings pay for the trip. Then there is the points that saves me on fuel at Jay C and Kroger fuel centers. There produce is equal to the best I can find and better than most

Decent place to shop, but management doesn't know what they're doing, and they treat their employees like garbage when they bring up issues or will berate them in the presence of customers for something they either didn't do, or just if they feel like they wanna get some steam off. This really needs to be taken care of, I personally feel sorry for those that work there.

Be VERY careful. I was double charged last Saturday for my purchase using their new debit card machine. Watch your transactions. The local store doesn't even take care of the problem. They sent me to a 866 number

Just went to JayC Food Store in North Vernon and shelves here and there throughout the store were empty like the bread section one whole area no bread and then a refrigerated section empty shelves and I realize it's 10:30pm at night but still people do buy groceries at that time. As I approach the checkout lane the cashier was talking to the bagger and then once the cashier starts ringing up my groceries the bagger turns around and leaves and then comes back after I bagged my own groceries and already checked out! I know it's at 10 o'clock at night but seriously I see careless effort and this is the first time my experience has been this way and typically when I go to JayC Food Store during the day service and everything is 110% better. My main point is just because it is 10 o'clock at night doesn't mean that that 110% shopping experience should be any different no matter what time of day it is! The one pro though to JayC Food Store is get in out vs. Wal-Mart you are normally there for 2hrs. and also less crowded at this time of night at JayC Food Store. Overall I like JayC Food Store but not at 10 o'clock at night when employees don't care to stock shelves or let alone bag people groceries like they are paid to do and not paid to run off and hide until the customer has already bagged there own groceries and already checked out and left. I have seen on the name tags that the workers wear at JayC Food Store Say I can make it right and if they want to hold up to that quality then show it by having excellent service at 10 o'clock at night I know at 10 o'clock at night people are typically tired and want to go home and could care less about there job but seriously if a job requires late hours so be it that's why they call it a job and don't apply if your not happy with it and find something you do like even if it's temporary! I know this is a long rant and I am going pretty hard on JayC Food Store tonight but I am doing it to prove that I should be able to go into JayC Food Store at any point in the day even at 10 o'clock at night and still get the same service I would get say at 2pm in the afternoon! That's all I have to say about that!

Went there at 9:57 and stopped me at the door stating they was closed because they closed at 10:00 when all I wanted to do was pay for a tree that was outside with a credit card. It wouldn’t have even been 10 by the time I would have paid.
