From the time I walk in with one of my furbabies, until I leave; The staff at Hawthorne make us all feel like we are top priority. I have moved states quite a bit and have had many vets through the years; Hawthorne is one that was hard to get in to - But after meeting everyone, I can see why. Excellent care and Excellent staff.

I've taken ALL MY dogs to this vet clinic for the past 20 years. The staff cares about the animals and will call and check up on our pet if there was a care visit. It's small and intimate and I love that. Plus, they have a groomer in-house, Missy, and my doodle absolutely loves her. Highly recommend.

I will not take Abby to Hawthorne Clinic ever again I tried all summer long to talk to them young girls about getting pills for Abby and then I set up for the worst evening of my life I couldn't hardly get any where near her because they give her such a shot and I'd ask him for pills that would do the same thing and they wouldn't sell it to me I thought I was going to lose Abby it was an awful big shot but I got her through it and I didn't appreciate them telling me I could go on home and got a phone call before I got there they want to play games they better get somebody else

Hawthorne is wonderful. I was taking my pets to Banfield in Evansville, too far and not happy with them. I dont like to leave my pet. Hawthorne staff was friendy, professional. Dr. Z was brilliant. Very thorough, listened to my concerns. Had labs done and Dr. Z called the the next morning. Tigger got the all is well. Highly recommend. ♡🐱🐶 Update. This is the first vet I've been to that doesn't smell like a vet. Never over booked and very friendly, professional and kind. Only drawback is they don't have after hours emergency on call. Appointments only. Though they will try and work you in if urgent.

Took our 7 year old Great Dane in and seen Dr. Lawson. He was very thorough, friendly and knowledgeable. Felt very comfortable in his diagnosis of ACL tear and treatment options he gave us. Definitely recommend.

I love the doctor care but since the new ownership has taken over, it's gotten very expensive. Also, they would not give me flea treatments for my cats because they were overdue for some shots, which again, are expensive.Reply to your response to my first post: we are long-standing customers and have always been able to get flea treatment without an appt. This is a new policy that I don't remember getting notified of. Plus, doctors prescribe/refill previously used medicine for humans without an appt all the time, so I don't see what difference there is.

My dog had a small emergency and they were able to get me in the very next day! The doc was very thorough and handled my sweetie with such gentleness! Love this place. It smelled great and of course the service was wonderful. Highly recommend!!!!

They take great care of my animals and for their service I rate them high. However, the place is impossible to contact. The phone will either tell you to call later(and still no answer) or just ring. I had to show up in person to get test results.
