I got my back tattoo done here. Over all the service was great! They were friendly and focused, very considerate. Though at the end they were rushing. I’m not sure why or what was going on. But in result they forgot to do a line in the top. There are 4 at the bottom and 3 at the top when they are supposed to be identical. Would I return? Yes but with caution. Solely because this is permanent. But other than that I am in love with my tattoo.Service: Tattoos

I took my daughter for her first tattoo. Deanna was so kind and patient with her. The tattoo is in memory of my father and is similar to the one I had gotten several months ago. Deanna does wonderful work! She's such an amazing artist and is a great human too!

This is my favorite shop because the artists are talented, their ink stays bold for a lonnnng time, the place is clean, the vibe is great, they tattoo quickly and they are good people. I can't thank this business enough for taking care of my Dad. It was his first one! Not only is the piece dont exceptionally, but making him feel comfortable. I owe yall a fruit basket. Amazing shop, got started on a pretty large and heavy black cover up piece by Brett. I cannot explain how happy I am with the progress so far. He went above and out of his way to accommodate and get as much done in one sitting as possible. The entire shop is friendly and warm, can't wait to go back and get the next session.

Super welcoming vibes and a fun place to sit while receiving some killer art! I brought a very broad idea to Deanna and she absolutely delivered! Everyone there was very friendly and made my husband and me feel very comfortable. I can't stress enough how relaxed we felt the entire time. Not only am I looking to my next piece, but my tattoo-less husband is already looking forward to booking for himself as well!

Umbrella Ink is doing a great job of walking the thin line between safety and hospitality through these transitional times. I went in last week for my first tattoo work in five years. The shop is homelike with cushioned seating and original art on the walls, but they create a sterile field in there for every client.Kevin worked out my design with me, through several drafts. He didn't pick up the equipment until he knew exactly what I wanted, and that's what I got. We laughed and talked through the session. The music was great, too. I'll be back.

I went in for a consult with Deanna for a very sad goofy cover up, gave her some ideas of what I was looking for we set an appointment for about 3 weeks later. I have to say she was right on point! I love Deanna’s fine lines and attention to detail. I am extremely pleased with the end result! I will definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a quality tattoo. Thanks again!!

Love this place..everyone was EXTREMELY friendly, from the guy up front to the tattoo artists. Damien did my girlfriend and I’s equality tattoos and we’re in love with them!! It was our first tattoos and he went through everything and made sure we were comfortable. Also glad he explained the whole after care process as well. Very small shop but it’s also very inviting and comfy. Very clean and we are so glad we picked this shop. You really do get what you pay for when it comes to tattoos people! Well worth it. Will definitely be back!

I honestly picked this shop out of random with my best friend. We got matching tattoos, it was my first. Damien did them and he was awesome. Super sweet made sure I was comfortable and calmed me down whenever I almost went into a panic attack because I was so scared. He asked me about my dogs to get my mind off of it and everything. Very awesome, will be back for future tattoos❤️❤️

This place was the absolute bomb! If I could it more than 5 stars, I totally would. A few of my friends and I made an impulsive decision to get tattoos together and we were looking for the right spot and Umbrella Ink was it. They were kind enough to get us in at the last minute for appointments and a total of 4 of us were able to get the ink we had been wanting to get for a long while. The staff was kind and courteous and the location was clean and sanitized appropriately. Should I have the urge to get another tattoo while in Valpo, I’ll be coming back here 100%!

This is honestly one of the most legit shops you’ll ever come across. The owner Kevin is one of the most friendliest, funniest, talented, easy-going tattoo artist you can ever work with. The shop just feels nostalgic, it’s on the smaller side but doesn’t have that overwhelming feel that some tattoo shops have. You feel like can hang out there all day. You pay for quality and free touch ups for life while at the same time not getting ripped off. I’ve been coming to this shop and getting tattooed here since 2011 and I’ve been to many other shops and artists and I always find myself coming back to Umbrella Ink.

Started coming here late 2015. My girlfriend introduced me to Kevin and instantly we became friends. Not only did I love his work he just made me feel welcome and comfortable. I met Mary a few months later and felt the same welcoming feeling Kevin showed me from her. She always has awesome ideas to add to the mix when you're deciding on design. I love umbrella and all the people in it.

My fiance and I came in today and got tattoos from Emilio. The shop was very clean, and everyone was very polite. Great atmosphere, and (me being so into music like I am) some great music playing in the shop. When we left, we both mentioned how much we liked it there an how we would gladly go back for our next tattoos. I had gotten my other tattoos at culture shock in valpo, and the second one (both done by different artists) is horrible. The colors faded and the lines are so broken and terrible looking. I'm confident that will not be an issue with umbrella. Great place. Great people.

Damien did amazing work. He and another employee spent almost a half hour rearranging and manipulating my design until it was exactly right, and the result is beautiful. The shop is very clean, and I would absolutely get more work done here.

I oh so badly want to give this place five stars, I oh so badly wish I could say I have a wonderful piece of art on my body from this tattoo parlor, but that is not the case. I have never been somewhere so unprofessional in my life. First, I arrived to schedule an appointment to get a sleeve done (or at least get one started). When I arrived it took about fifteen minutes for someone to even acknowledge my existence. Finally, a young man came from the back and we began to talk. I showed him photos/pictures of everything I wanted to get done, had prints of everything for the tattoo artist to work with, etc. (he seemed a bit indifferent, so I should have taken that as a red flag right there) We made an appointment about a month and a half from that date and another two weeks after that to finally get the tattoo I wanted, I paid the fee, and went on my way. Well, a month and a half goes by and it's finally the day to get my tattoo.When I arrive, again, took a while for someone to even acknowledge I was there. They were a bit busier this time, so not a big deal. I then proceed to tell them I have an appointment to get my tattoo. The man looks at the computer and tells me they have NONE of my photos/pictures of what I wanted. He looks for the paperwork and NOTHING. He had absolutely nothing prepared. He then asked me to go and print out some more photos. I was confused because what did it matter if he had nothing prepared after a month and a half? was he just going to wing an entire sleeve? I took it as a bad omen and walked out that door and found another place to get my tattoo. I'm sure their work is very nice, but if you can't get your business in order, take it as a red flag and find somewhere else.

I just got my first tattoo this week after a bad break up. And what I can say is I was nervous and anxious about it. But I’m so glad I went and I thank Lui for his hospitality and kind heart.❤️ He did a wonderful job. He helped me turn a bad day into a positive one. Definitely will be going back.

I was a customer opening day of Umbrella Ink for photography which Mary performed flawlessly. Since then I watched as Mary educated her Facebook following about what goes behind good Tattoo services (health standards etc...) finally, I decided to get my first tattoo. Mary drew exactly the design I wanted and Kevin executed it flawlessly. The colors are vibrant, and the lines sharp. I can't imagine better results.

Kevin the owner is a well versed tattoo God. And Scotty is the best up comer tattoo genius. Try them out you won't be disappointed.
