Well if you go to the larger stores unsure and know you’ll be needing help and/or advice, Home Depot is the winner hands down. I counted more associates greeting me and my son upon arrival. I told them hello and, “You’d have to walk around a half an hour to even see this much help at (won’t mention name)”! Better brands, nicer arrangement, and excellent service. It’s like the old days. 5 stars.

Best service ever! Jacob, Colin, and Sherry in Lawn & Garden went above and beyond to help with my large purchase of over 30 trees. Janie at the front end register was amazing as well. All around great experience.

I had carpeting and padding we purchased from the Valparaiso Home Depot paid over $3500 or more for a 12x12 room. We got the best quality padding and very soft carpeting. The over charged us for both of the material. They left the extra carpeting as we figured we would just use it for our stairs eventually. We were never left our equal amount of padding. We are talking $300 or more of padding that was not left. I called Home Depot and was told the head carpeting section woman would get back to me over my issue. I left my phone number and account information and never received a call back. I called again and got same response. I was avoided and the Home Depot workers that came out stole our padding material. I want my material or money compensation. Their workers stole my padding.

Bought a refrigerator and the install guys were terrible!!!! Came in with wet dirty boots no booties got my carpet trashed. Then wouldn’t give me 3 minutes to clean were the old one was literally pulled me out of the way. Next left the packaging all over the floor and outside. Next asked me to give them a good review. REALLY!!! And last there truck leaked engine oil all over my new driveway staining it. After they were done it cost me almost $200 to have the carpets cleaned and driveway cleaned. Do Not Use them or you will have same issues. Very disrespectful

Customer Service is a joke. Went in to ask why military discount did not show up on order placed on- line. The two boys who were behind the counter were too busy horsing around to listen to my issue. The one insisted that the discount did show up and when I insisted it did not, was told that I couldn’t talk to him like that - what I can’t disagree? When I put the items on the counter, to show what I had bought and again, ask why the military discount did not show up. He said I needed a refund and why didn’t I just as for that to begin with and he refunded my items. I DID NOT WANT A REFUND, I wanted to know why I didn’t get the military discount. Finally I asked for a manager because I was no longer going to put up with his smart mouth, his inability to listen and his overall rudeness. Even as he walked away, he could not keep his obnoxious comments to himself. BY THE WAY, I WAS FINALLY TOLD THAT MILITARY DISCOUNTS WERE NOT GIVEN ON BLACK FRIDAY SPECIALS. Perhaps someone should have led with that.

Very disappointed with the extended warranty service. Have used it now already on both washer and dryer that are not even (4) years old and both times a huge hassle, so much so I don't know if it is worth it.

Steven was very kind, Joseph was very helpful, but when citibank chose to close my card without notice because I hadn't used it in 6 months, I was then forced to call and talk with someone from outside the country with broken English who I could hardly hear, while the night stock crew were doing their job..but it was so loud it made it quite difficult...so not great, but hopefully better next time.

This home improvement store really has affordable prices that is handy for any household repairs that need to be fixed right away without breaking the bank. Well organized in different categories ranging from electronics to plumbing. The staff is really polite and friendly to customers as well as knowledgeable about what the customer needs. I will definitely be coming back.

Carpet... bought top of line carpet. Only had for a year and it looks like we've had it for 5-10 years. Very dissatisfied! Before and after Menard cheap carpet held up better over the last 10 yrs. Btw I vacuum every monday.

Store Manager and associates are all very nice and super helpful. As I was walking the store associates came up to see if I needed help and would just be very friendly and inviting. Made driving an hour worth it. The store manager also leads by example as he was the first person I seen when I walked in and right away had a smile and was willing to help

The window person Alexander was very helpful explaining Anderson and American Craftsman windows. We were EXTREMELY pleased with the pricing compared to the Anderson Renewal business quote. We will be getting our windows from Home Depot and save enormous amounts for windows very good.

They do have great deals. But, every single time I go there? It seems like if an employee see's me looking for something? They run the other way or tell me they'll find someone to help me & everyone disappears. But, their paint? It's definitely worth going for! Holy smokes, it's great! Seems like most people know this because there usually is quite a lot of people purchasing it!

Can't say for the rest of the store but the manager in the fridges is awesome!. Was at best buy just moved into town needed fridge we can't sell you a floor model it'll be 4 to 6 days. Go to home depot same thing 4 to 6 days delivery. We asked them like we did best best_can we take floor model why yes you can well have your fridge delivered to store and put that back as floor model

Ordered Dishwasher delivery date given. Called installer to schedule install. Didn’t come in per stated. Installer shows up with no dishwasher. He came from Lynwood IL about 1 hour away.NOT A HAPPY CAMPER. Investigated with Home Depot, Dishwasher was never ordered!!! ?? Got a delivery time. Took my $$, refund could take up to 7 days You can’t make this stuff up. Menards here I come! 😡

Honestly I would not recommend this store to anyone. I wasted an hour of time to save 50 dollars which I did not even save. I dealt with 4 different employees. None of the employees knew what they were doing. 3 of the 4 employees claimed their scanner tablet things they use to find items and information were down or buffering. To find out after 45 minutes they did not have the item needed. The closest location was Chicago to get the item I needed. I was then told they do not offer store to store shipping. So after wasting an hour of time and dealing with 4 employees who didn't know what they were doing I ended up going across the street to Menards. Ended up spending 50 more dollars ,but was in and out in less than 5 minutes. Overall my experience at Home Depot was less than 1 star if I could put that as an option.

Doesn't seem to be able to deliver undamaged products. Ordered a shower unit and a tub shower unit on line to be delivered to the store for pick up. Both were to damaged to install. My project is now delayed 2 weeks while we wait for new products to be delivered. We will open units in store to inspect for damage before taking with us. Will not use home depot again for any pre ordered products and will most likely will not return. Have heard from several others that they have had the same problem.

I purchased 2 toilets recently. I had nothing but problems with Home Depot. The connections and wax ring I was sold were not the right ones. I had to return them twice. One of the toilets has been leaking ever since I bought it.I bought a dishwasher on October 20, 2022. Again, I had problems finding a sales person, then when I went to pay there was a problem scanning the sales order and I had to go back and have them put the order in again. The cashier said she was having a salesperson meet me there. I waited 15 minutes. The dishwasher was supposed to be delivered and installed today. I never heard from them about a time window so I called them. After being on the phone for 30 minutes, I was told that GE cancelled the order because there was a problem with the paperwork and that Home Depot was returning my money in 3-4 business days. She said that someone should have contacted me. Didn’t happen. Home Depot is a joke!I am having a hip replacement on Thursday and can barely walk, yet I had to constantly walk all over the store because of Home Depot’s poor service. I needed the dishwasher BEFORE I have surgery. I will not be able to go out shopping again for two months!

Had to drive 50 miles to get quantities of ceramic installation supplies, and each store DOES NOT honor prices from their sister stores. What a painful experience. Found another place with comparable prices and better selections.
