We've been bringing our first dog (Nico) here for 5 years and we recently started bringing our new dog (Lux) as well. They performed a neutering surgery for Nico when we first adopted him. Recently when Lux got sick, other places told us it would be a week for an appointment, but they got us in the same day and he was diagnosed with Lyme disease. He was started on a treatment immediately. I am so thankful. We also get all of our dogs vaccinations here. They are always nice and treat my pups really well. It's clean and conveniently located. They also have a great website for ordering/reordering meds, to be picked up or delivered to our home. I would definitely recommend PCPC.

We saw Dr Weitzel for years and I have no complaints about the care our pets received from him. The last time we went in with our cat who has had health issues and takes medication daily, we did not see him. The doctor told us she was concerned about our cats bloodwork and was going to call us the next day with further results. Nobody called. When we inquired, we were told everything was fine. It left me wondering what the doctor was concerned about but nobody could tell us.But the final straw for me was calling in recently and finding out that a staff member was able to put a note in my cat's chart that no one could speak to anyone but my ex-boyfriend regarding the cat's medical needs. The staff member is dating my ex-boyfriend's son. I find that inappropriate. The health of a pet should be a priority before petty and vindictive behavior. My ex-boyfriend had to call and release our cats records to me. I'll be taking them to another vet now.

Charged over $600 for spaying 2 female cats...I cannot believe it an absolute rip off anyone and everyone please stay away from these greedy price gouging heartless people. Shame on you all and shame on me for not going anywhere else. Absolutely disgusting and unethical

I’m so thankful to have been recommended to Porter County Pet Clinic for my dog. I rescued her as a puppy & she has a lot of behavioral issues that we saw a behaviorist for. Porter County has been AMAZING with us & go above & beyond to cater to my dog. They let us wait in the car until our appointment time & go directly into the room to avoid other people/dogs. They also provide muzzles, respect my dog while doing their job, do not make me feel awful/judged, get us in quickly & have great, affordable prices. Thank you for all you guys do!!

When my wife moved here in 2021, she brought her puppy with her. We were looking to get some tests done as well as get him fixed. Other locations in Valparaiso were saying we had to wait a month or more and the costs were very high. Then we found Porter County. They got him in and got everything done within 48 hours a d our bill was pretty reasonable. Staff is absolutely amazing and they are very caring towards our dog.

Had to go to another vet for my cat. Ran across Porter on the web. Of course my cats health tanked the day of my appt. She needed surgery etc. The staff was exceptional. I knew exactly what the charges were along with the way they showed the love they have for animals. They also sat with me for however long it took for me to leave my cat for surgery. I also had two of the vets weigh in on my cats condition too and listened to what i thought about it. Thank you all. She is recovering. Looking forward to having you guys as my permanent vet.

Love this vet! Took my beagle in for a second opinion on a pregnancy because I didn't believe the results from my old vet... and I'm so glad i did because come to find out she is probably due next week and I had to rush to get all the supplies😂 they are so affordable compared to other places and actually care not only about the pets but there owners. Puppies to be coming very soon ☺️

The staff and Dr are awesome caring people. I was in a bind with my previous Vet not being available or returning calls. Porter County Vet were able to see my dog the same day I contacted them. My dog was in pain and thanks to them he is doing much better now. I will continue to use there service for all 3 of my dogs! Cant thank them enough they really do care!

Easy with scheduling, quality care, and the best prices I've seen yet in my personal history with vets!! They are also doing very well with their covid precautions! Pre-covid when I had gone in before the building is also very well kept and inviting

A friendly place to get pet medical attention, including regular check-ups, shots, and grooming. The staff is friendly, and helpful, and communicative. Our cat(who doesn't like his carrier- car rides - and vet visits) relaxed and spent much of the visit exploring the exam room, and relaxed while the staff checked him , even through shots, through exams and some grooming, and relaxed as we left and rode home. A very calm visit( even with the exuberant attention of some large dogs as we were leaving) I like this vet and staff very much.

They care about pets, they know our pets are family. If I need a refill on my pups' meds, I don't have to go in and pay for an office visit for the refill.And I really appreciate the fact they go over an itemized bill before treatment. While I'm worrying about my dog, I don't have to be worrying over the bill

I have been going to see Dr Jeff for almost a year he is very friendly, knowledgeable, and always handles my dogs with care. I also enjoy the fact it's a small office and there is not a lot of other clients in the lobby with their sick pets for my dogs to interact with. I also am seen within 10/15 minutes of my scheduled appointment. The staff are friendly the lobby and exam rooms are clean and the cost for service is fair. I recommend this clinic.

We've been bringing our dog here for 3 yrs now and today we said goodbye! We supposedly had to keep buying this "prescription" dog food for her "sensitive" stomach. The food has been going up to ridiculous prices...$79 for a 16lb bag! We can barley afford the food and now all of a sudden they won't sell us anymore until we bring her in for a check up. We can't afford a "check up" for her right now...so now we can't feed her either...BS! The only reason I gave 2 stars is because they're only a block away. There's plenty of other vets out there. Some of our other neighbors have become disappointed too.

They are great, my zoe does not like her nails cut, she is very difficult, they are so good with her, I am so glad they are there to help, I couldn't handle her myself. So happy they have their own space back, same plaza, in front now, much nicer space.

I called them last minute with my dog being sick and not having a vet in the area yet. Tyler was his name he said they were busy but he would take my information and call me back at 9 after he talked to the doctor to let me know if he could get me in. He called at 8:30 and told me he could get me in at 12. He was good with my dog and very friendly and helpful. He explained everything to me and was easy to talk to. I will go back again when needed.

Best vet I've ever been to. We drive from South Bend to Valpo because we like them so much. Great caring staff. Both dogs got 3 shots each and gave blood. Neither one so much as flinched. It was like they didn't even feel it. I wish i could receive care like that. Dr. Weitzel is the best. Tyler and the girls are great too.
