I understand that I'm starting out on my own with near nothing but when someone who is supposed to 'help' is absolutely rude while showing what my options are as well as reporting to my case worker that I was in there attempting to get something without her when I very clearly WAS NOT, this place can go get screwed in my opinion. They can keep those hand me downs and 'charity' work. If I wanted to be treated rudely and had assumptions made about me, I would have stayed where I moved here from!!

I absolutely love this place - not only do they always have an awesome selection of clothing and furniture, but they have a sizable, well stocked library and movie supply as well. The people who run the place are very friendly and helpful, and they'll even deliver your furniture if you don't have the means to transport it yourself. I definitely recommend this place to anyone who appreciates thrift stores.

If you have a poor relief voucher from the trustees office to go there (the person in charge" Ms G. Is a nasty human being and she immediately does not like you....I had been in need of getting a couch for the past year since the father of my children had died, and I have been given the run around and talked down to.... i was given the wrong number that I was supposed to call for an appointment, I was reprimanded for coming to the store instead of calling the 6 digit number that was given to me trying to explain this and show her it was not a complete number I was still being reprimanded by her....there was some lady that was shopping that must have seen what was going on with Ms G scolding and talking down to me, that this stranger gave me her card and offered to help me with a couch.....Smh this women is a very mean spirited person. And should not be in charge of the poor relief vouchers because she mistress them treating them very bad.

I wish I knew about this place sooner. They're way better than Goodwill. They help local homeless men get back on their feet and become productive and self-sufficient. Their furniture selection is fantastic. They don't have quite the selection for clothing as Goodwill, but everything here is well organized and not just thrown up on shelves. Employees are very friendly and thankful for donations and for purchases. I thoroughly enjoy my experiences here and will continue supporting them.

Always a nice selection and the staff is friendly and engaging. They don't scan price tags though so it make take longer than expected to check out. If they were gifted a POS system I think it would speed things up and make them even better!

This place was very organized and had tons of great books which is what I'm always looking for. The board games were surprisingly expensive for some odd reason. The books were great prices, 50 cents for soft cover, and 1.00 for hard cover. My wife said there wasn't a very good selection for women's clothes and baby clothes too. There was a ton of furniture and some nice stuff that was pretty fairly priced. Would definitely return to this place!

I like going to the Creation Resale Shop. I lost my furniture in a storage unit due to mold. My husband had passed and i was low in funds. I was devastated! But finding this place I was able to find all I needed in furniture.. The prices were excellent and the items were clean. The staff there are very kind and I love that the moneys are going to a good cause helping our men get back on there feet. Thank you New Creation Resale Shop you are doing a fantastic job!

Great place doing great things! Such an easy and stress-free experience donating items. As soon as I knocked on the garage door, 3 men came out and helped me unload my car while being thankful. Love seeing this establishment in Valparaiso!

What a crying shame! This place used to be a fun and friendly place to shop with music and bonhomie in the air under the old manager, James Hill.They had great prices and nice furniture - desks, bookcases and cabinets. The man's world section was full of tools and useful , hard to find products at very reasonable prices. The Christmas section was amazing.That's all changed with this new, passive aggressive ,grey haired manager. What a jerk! He's cocky and rude to everybody. I was amazed at how nasty he had answered an elderly lady who asked an innocent question. What an arrogant and ignorant horse's rear end. Where has all the good merchandise gone? Sold out the back door and off the books for cash? P.S. Recently I went to buy a few items. As I approached the register, the "manager", the only guy at the counter decided to walk to the back room while leaving me standing alone and unattended. I left the merchandise and walked out. Definitely thumbs down to the new, New Creations. Bring the old manager back asap.

I love this place! I am always finding little treasures every time I visit. The people who work there are the nicest you could ever meet. It's almost as fun as shopping at Macy's! STAY FOUSD's review is biased and ill-informed, posted by someone who obviously does not live in Valparaiso and does not like VALPARAISO. Just check out their other reviews and you'll see the pattern. Unfortunate.

This place is run really well. I regularly shop here and their rotation of items in and out of the store front is continuous. Also my family donated some furniture to them and they send people to your house to come and get it free of charge, as a part of their job training program for the participants that have made it to that level of responsibility.

Best resale shop in Porter County. Large selection of goods that are organized and not just all thrown together. Clothes are categorized by style, size and color. Prices can’t be beat either. Have you shopped Goodwill lately?? Hot mess and prices are ridiculous. $6 for a 1980s Laura Brannigan concert T shirt. Same shirt here would be $.99. I have found some real gems here.Great friendly helpful staff too.

New Creation Resale Shop is awesome. Amazing deals and everybody is very nice. If you want it they mpst likely carry it. From clothes to furniture all the way to books and tools. They carry alot of dress shirts. I come here to get my button ups. I come here about once every two weeks to check out the inventory.

Nice place a bit pricey but there are some good deals if you're willing to look for them. One great thing about this place is that what ever money they make goes to help area homeless men with resources they would not have without the system that they offer! Great place!

I have been here several times and have never been disappointed. The workers are friendly and helpful. I enjoy the Sunday Stroll videos on Facebook that tell about their program, show much of what they have available if there is a sale.

I go here once or twice a month to see what new stuff they have to sell. They have sales pretty often which they post on their Facebook page. They'll hold furniture for up to a week (with a down payment) & also deliver it to you for a $30 fee which is super convenient.

Great place to go for second hand furniture. The staff is neighborly and they always have a bunch a deals going on. If you need some furniture this is the place to go. In fact they have a lot of stuff, except clothes, which is a good thing because that is all you can find in most of the other resale shops in the area.....

I would not recommend this place for Homeless Men to get help from if they have a service dog. I was there for help and at first they worked with me with my service dog then it started to change where they didn't care.

I've been a customer of this place since they were in the old building. They recently got rid of the people who use to work there and it's a lot more organized and a lot less friendly. Been in 5 times and they don't even say hello. Big thumbs down, won't waste my time here anymore. Shame use to be a great place 🤢😟

Great people and helpful. Picked up when they said they would and were courteous. The store is organized and not overly crowded with stuff. Bargains can be found here.
