Great nonchain!Jake's is a great local business. Nice having all those heavy feed bags dumped right in the trunk for you. The Free Little Library out front is a wonderful feature for people without access to a library or don't hit town often.

The workers are very nice and knowledgeable. The selection of dog treats is really good. One of the few places locally I can get bee supplies at a reasonable price. Whats not to love?

Great selection, did not know this local gem existed. We would much rather patron local. Also the fact that they load is a huge plus. Also prices on chicken feed are fair and competitive. Other things may have been slightly over priced but for convenience that seems fair.

This is one of the most unique garden, farm, and outdoor stores around! They have great selection of garden supplies and are always helpful. Good coverage for poultry, bees, and 4H animals! My young children love going here to pick out gardening and pet project items. Stop in and check them out in any case. It is worth the experience just to browse. Nice gem in South Porter County!

I love Jakes!I come here for bees and bee equipment because its one of the only places to buy it locally, and everyone is so friendly and helpful. There's a few things they didn't have in stock so next time I may call ahead to see if they can get it in before I need to stop out and pick it up. Great place!

Helpful and although out of the seed I was after, will have it within a few days . They took my order and will call when available . I picked up some other gardening supplies while i was there . The young guy that pulled and loaded my order was very pleasant and represented the store well.

Everyone I've dealt with here has been very helpful. They are very knowledgeable and if they don't know the answer they'll direct you to someone who does. I highly recommend stopping in here over going to box stores and chains.

We go to Jake's often for bulk birdseed and straw bales. They also have a small supply of bulk garden seed before planting season starts. They carry some garden care products and a small selection of garden plants and flowers in season. They have a nice selection of bird feeders, and garden decor. They carry a small selection of farm animal supplies, and pet care. They are 4-H friendly. I like this little place, but the prices on some things are waaaaaaaaaaaay overboard, so I only get what I need. Sometimes, it's nice to just grab the basics quickly without having to waste the gas driving to town, even if you pay a bit more for it.

Jake's is a great little feed store. I buy all my bird seed there and they will load it in your car for you. They also have very unique bird feeders.

Great little place for seeds and feeds. Nice collection of feeders and seeds for our feathered friends. If your in to bees or want to be, they got the stuff. Domestic bird seed too.
