At CVS I received the amazing customer service from April. She greeted with an amazing smile warm spirit always going over and beyond and being so professional April really understands what customer service all about I even complemented her and told her so every single time I’ve been there she’s always the same cheerful And always greet each and every customer with so much enthused we need more people like her

This pharmacy is terrible. I will take my business elsewhere! The pharmacy staff is very rude. I don't understand how they are still in business with the way they treat people! This includes their overnight staffing and day time staffing. They should be ashamed of how they treat and talk to their customers. They all have terrible people skills and shouldn't be working in health care.

Amazing staff! The girl at the front helped out and was amazing. Then the girl who checked me out had an amazing smile and personality!

I wish I had an option to select no stars due to the negligence of not only my time but the disrespect from MIKE and his staff. This is definitely the new ricks auto body. Shady people.. I will be taking all my needs to Walgreens or gills pharmacy from now on.

While I have a great experience with the non-pharmacy employees. Nearly every experience I have had in the pharmacy has been poor. The pharmacy staff is very rude and lacks the necessary people skills. They never fail to come off as if they can't be bothered with phone calls and hang up when I have thanked them for getting prescriptions ready. A simple "you're welcome", "of course", or "no problem" could help ease their abrasive tones. I'm understanding that people get busy and jobs can be stressful, but a little kindness goes a long way.

I had issues in the past with this CVS Pharmacy. I was happy with Walgreens but Walgreens did not accept my new insurance so I decided to try CVS again, hoping they had improved. After a few months of trying unsuccessfully to coordinate my prescriptions, as CVS repeatedly offered, so that my monthly refills could be picked up together I gave up. When I would pick up my prescriptions inside the store, I was always surprised, when standing in line at the pharmacy, to hear the pharmacy staff announcing the names of the medications people were picking up. I heard a young lady be told the name of the different psych drugs she was picking up. I felt terrible for her having her personal business shared with everyone within earshot. Another time, I heard the employee loudly announce to an elderly man that his Tramadol order was ready. No one needed to know this gentleman’s business but also, considering Tramadol is an incredibly strong painkiller, I was worried that someone might mug the elderly gentleman in the parking lot to get his prescription. My main reason for this review is that approximately one and a half months ago, my dentist gave me a prescription for a toothpaste for sensitive teeth. It turned out, when it was filled, that my insurance did not cover it so it was going to cost me $32.00 for a small tube. I could live without the special toothpaste so I called the pharmacy, cancelled the order and asked them to cancel the prescription because I would not be using it. Last week, two of my medications were filled so my boyfriend stopped and picked them up on the way home from work. The next morning when I opened the bag, I found that the toothpaste, I had cancelled, was in the bag. I called the pharmacy to get it corrected and spoke with one of the pharmacists, Rebecca. I told her I was frustrated about what had happened because I had cancelled the prescription over a month earlier. Her response was not, I am sorry for the confusion, let me look up your account to make sure it doesn’t happen again or would you like to bring it back in for a refund. Instead, Rebecca told me it was my boyfriends responsibility to know what prescriptions he was picking up for me. I was taken aback by her “customer service” and responded that I did not think it should be our responsibility to have to check that the pharmacy did their job when asked over a month ago to cancel an order . In what I found to be a snippy tone, she told me she would give me a one time courtesy of refunding my money because refunds are not given once medicine leaves the pharmacy. There was zero responsibility taken or apology made for the situation. Rebecca was very unfriendly and her telling me it was our responsibility to check orders instead of acknowledging my cancellation request was not followed through on was, in my opinion, terrible customer service.I called the Corporate Office and spoke to a wonderful woman, Patricia, who apologized for the situation and said she would send the information to the Regional Director to address with Rebecca. Patricia could not have been lovelier but it does not change the ongoing frustrations I have had with this store. I have transferred my prescriptions to the Meijer Pharmacy.

What can I say about the store? I once loved it went every single night for the past 3 years, same routine go in get a snack and a pop and continue about my way into work. One day I was the sickest I had ever been, barely catching my breath, came back from the emergency room & went there to fill in a prescription , it would take 30 minutes. I went back to my car as sick as I was, laid the seat back waiting for my prescription and fell asleep!!!!!! Next thing the cops are knocking at my window, cvs called the cops on me for trespassing. So I can no longer be on CVS property!!!! Thank you to the "Karen" that made that call. I will kindly take my $3,500 worth of medicine a month and my son's $12,700 chemo medicine a month & my daughters 5,500 medicine a month and take my business elsewhere! To that Karen... I pray you find peace and love in your heart!! Good riddance

CVS used to be my favorite, but you guys have really been dropping the ball. Customer service is out the window. The app is useless. Prices are 3x’s what they should be. It takes forever for you guys to get items in stock—especially prescriptions! So disappointed! Looks like I’ll be switching to Walgreens soon….

If you are military or veteran DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME going to the minute clinic. If the VA sends you here under the Mission Act, don't bother trying. The VA needs to break their contract with CVS because both times I have been sent here, I have been turned away. CVS does NOT do urgent care or walk-ins. The only walk-in happening is you walking in to make an appointment. If you need an appointment, you may as well get an appointment with the VA. Hello. Shame on CVS and shame on the VA.

I really want to thank April manager of this pharmacy. She always greets and accompanies clients with a smile and wishes them a good day. this is the best pharmacy that treats not only with drugs but also with a human positive attitude. In addition, April is always ready to help customers. She's the best employee I've met this year

The employees at this store are very rude, and which is why I love to shop at the Chesterton store. Never had an issue. I love CVS, I fill ALL mine and my husbands meds there which is over $10,000 a month for both of our meds. I’m in the top 1% of savers in Indiana, because I spend so much money at CVS. I went into this Branch on calumet in Valpo this past week to purchase a pack of pampers diapers. I had store in-app coupons and I had a $5 OTC payment card from Pampers, and I was at a self check out and it would not scan (no coupons period will scan on their self checkouts) I asked the woman working to come over and help me and she informed me she couldn’t accept a coupon over the internet, I proceeded to explain to her it NOT A coupon but an OTC discount card (which most stores do not take coupons anyway) I opened the card, and once you open that link, you can’t get it back again. I have lost $5 in saving on my pampers diapers because of an uneducated employee. Employee proceeded to argue with me wnd REFUSED MULTIPLE TIMES to accept the discount card. I spend a lot of money at CVS, and I don’t like to be treated like a liar or a scammer because I was trying to use an OTC CARD. Unacceptable!

On 5/1/22 I not only came into the store to pick up my prescriptions I was also purchasing 3 cases of coke that were 3 for $9.99 expiring 5/1/22 if you downloaded the coupon into the CVS Extra Care card. A new ad started and the coke is buy 2 get 1 free. The 3 for $9.99 did not come up. When i questioned why it didn't come up for $9.99 the cashier Jacqueline said because it's on sale now, even thou the $9.99 had not expired. The mgr Pam comes over to say the same thing. As a mgr you don't come over hit your chest and say I only work here. That only infuriates the customer. As a mgr she represented CVS in a poor way. I have worked retail over 40 yrs and you don't disrespect your customers that way. If there are 2 promotions going on as a mgr you want to give the customer the promotion sent to them. I know she had the ability to over ride what rang up on the register. Pam got upset with me when I told her not to talk to me that way, I said maybe she needs to call corporate about the issue, which she said in turn I'll be on hold, I then said maybe she needs to notify her DM, which she said the DM can't call either. In the end she got tired of me told Jacqueline try it, if it takes one off void it. Jacqueline was able to get it at the 3 for $9.99 price. Don't think I'll ever step back into this location. Think the store needs to evaluate who they have as managers, even this manager as an employee with the company.

The pharmacy is SO rude, especially Sara. They’re all so condescending and every single person has an attitude. I am switching back to portage. At least they’re nice

Never had any problems with this CVS. I use the drive through Pharmacy and am sometimes told the prescription is not quite ready, but i've only had to wait 10 minuites. I understand they deal with lots of perscriptions a day and need to be very careful and organized. The inside store is great for running in and getting fast products.

I’ve been going to this CVS for almost 5 years since I’ve moved out here and it has definitely degraded. I received text updates telling me to come pick up my prescriptions and almost every time I do, they’re never ready. I went through the drive-thru a week ago and I was told the prescriptions are not ready, but to pick them up yesterday (March 4th). I came back last night to find out they’re STILL not ready. Staff is friendly but I think there should be better organization and communication with issues like this.

I feel like the service here has really gone down hill. Although there are several pharmacists who try to be helpful when they can, the evening/night pharmacist doesn’t seem to be very patient. I always feel rushed with her and I feel like she does not want to do any more than she has to for the customer. I dread pulling up to see she is working. I wish she seemed to enjoy her job more than she does. I know this is a busy store without enough staff but sometimes acting like you care makes all the difference and then people don’t mind waiting! Smile and try to enjoy the job!

The lines have gotten ridiculously long here for the pharmacy and the prices keep going up. I switched but am still trying to convince my dad to switch away. I never wait less than 10 minutes to pick up a prescription and half the time he gets a text saying his prescription is ready, it’s one he had on file that was refilled and not the one just called in that day. Then it’s always an hour wait for the prescription to be filled.

The pharmacy staff are always swamped and overworked but they are always helpful and never mind sorting through the insurance BS or helping you find a way to sort through the quagmire that is figuring out coverage for meds.

I've been going to this pharmacy with no issues before. The ladies were always very helpful and polite. Now my complaint is with the man. He was very unprofessional, VERY! My doctor had filled a script which still says filled in my account it NEVER was!!!!! He called me rude name and it was uncalled for to send me into an attack. I do not appreciate what he said to me!!! You dont accuse someone of being a drug abuser when the hospital took the medication!!! Worst experience of my life

Outstanding service on a busy Friday for a flu shot and a pneumonia shot... Extremely courteous staff, especially Beth who administered both shots... Could not believe I was in and out in 10 minutes...! No fooling around, just great service with a SMILE...! I Can’t recommend more...! Love it.... Update ... Went back over this year, 2019 for my flu shot and a 2nd pneumonia shot... I couldn’t believe how busy it was on a mid morning on a beautiful day in October... Walked back to the pharmacy and they were busy, the phone never stopped ringing and others also there for a flu shot...! As busy as it was, I suppose I was in and out in about a half hour..! The pharmacists were very busy but they still managed to get me taken care of.... I don’t know how they deal with all the duress when it’s so busy there but they do...! No complaints they do a great job....!

If I could give no stars I would. Went for covid shot with scheduled appointment at 9:30am. Was looked over and ignored for an hour, even though I was checked in, due to minute clinic thinking someone else they talked to was me. Waited until 11:20, still getting passed over as next patient. Ended up just leaving due to mismanagement, being unprofessional, and not being attentive to people in their waiting room. Also wasn't informer I could.have went to pharmacy. Piss poor CVS

Prescriptions are never ready when you need them. Had a refill sent over 5 days ago and went to pick it up and it was still not ready. Another time had a script for my daughter sent there, and knowing it takes a while I waited 4 hours to go pick it up and they still said it wasn’t ready and I had to wait another hour. It’s like they wait for you to show up and then get your medication ready for you. Ridiculous. The inconvenience of going to a non 24h pharmacy will be better than every one of my experiences here.

Twice we were told through text messages that the prescription was ready, only to be told at the counter it was not. We were also told it wasn't ready when it was. We let the employee know of this occurance and was told no she had sent us a different text saying that the script was not ready, not one saying it was, even as we showed her the text received. Then she stated that it wasn't her problem, it was a corporate problem and there was nothing she could do. She stated that many times. Enough that we informed her that that statement was not a good phrase to provide a satisfactory response, we suggested that she let us speak to the manager or relay our displeasure. She responded that she was the one in charge, but that there was nothing she could do. "I'm just a peon." She said we should transfer to a less busy CVS. We will be transferring, but not to another CVS. WORSE CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER RECEIVED.

Great place unless you need prescription pain reliever. Then it’s 2 hrs wait while any other pharmacy is 15 mins. They always say they are busy, but after years of coming here it’s an obvious bias. One pharmacist doesn’t make you wait, but the majority do.

I found the cashiers to be helpful and pleasant. The overworked counter staff at the pharmacy did what they could, mostly with a smile and a desire to please the customers.Sadly we get to the pharmacist ( a female one really stands out, but not the only imdividual), were rude and enough to make more than one customer look at another in amazement.Sorry to say my insurance company states I must use CVS. Gladly there are other locations just not as close to home

Absolute worst cvs pharmacy I’ve ever been too. Highly advise going somewhere else. Good luck ever getting someone on the phone, they constantly screw something up and some members aren’t very pleasant. Meijer is much, much better and way nicer to work with.

Confused on why I can go to Phsrmacard and get my prescription immediately, but at CVS you must wait for over 2 hours and then be told to come back and it's still not ready! These are normal every day antibiotics and meds...not worth the trouble! Pharmacard is fast, courteous, and the staff is friendly!!

If I could rate ZERO I WOULD!!! This place is so ridiculous!! I had scripts called in 3 weeks ago and they are not ready when I come to get them? What even??? I never had a prb one with Walgreens!!If it wasn’t for my Ins demanding we use CVS! I would NEVER GO HERE!!! Now I’m in line behind 15 cars after being at the window and being told to drive back around!!! I do not recommend this location or the customer service they have here!! Go elsewhere if you can!!
