This store is so hit and miss. The prices on pantry staples are good, but this store is often messy and is frequently out of items. As with just about any Aldi store, there is always a problem with the produce section, and this store is no different. I don't know who thought the electronic price tags were a good idea, but in this store I see more of them with busted screens than any other location, sometimes making it impossible to tell how much something is. I have also noticed several items increasing in price lately here.

Aldi usually has good fruit and meats. Their eggs are usually priced below market price. You can also find other items in this store such as candles, toiletries, plants, pastries, and decent pizzas. The only problem is some items you may like but never see for sale again. They are handicapped accessible entry. They have self check out and now only one available cashier. There is free parking and a restroom for the patrons.

Hit or miss on individual items, but there's so much exclusive quality goods that it's very worth shopping.I've only heard good things about working here. The wages are relatively high, so it's consistently competitive to get the jobs.

Good for a variety of things. My wife especially likes their flavored/carbonated water.

Aldi is awesome! Great prices and great selection! They really have stepped up their game.. love all the different selections of low carb.. gluten free.. and just everyday items. Wish they still carried the biscuit mix through.

This La Porte Ave Aldi is excellent. It is small and therefore cozy, with pleasant staff members. Despite being on their feet all day long, and their physically demanding jobs, they manage to smile at customers and help them. Their prices are awesome. I enjoy their relative simplicity, compared to glitzy, over materialistic stores.Just one minor recommendation: Please make sure your women's restroom is cleaner. Right now it smells bad.

They have just about everything you need. We even bought a dog bed there at reasonable price. They had one cashier and several self checks.

Too much space alloted to non-food merchandise. I don't go to Aldi to buy bath towels or holiday decor.

They didn't have hash browns, or French fries. I also had to wait a while for an employee to help me at the self check out. There was ONE regular register open and that is who I had to wait for to help me! So after finishing with her customer's...she helped me! So I might as well of just got in that line!!

Tried getting hold of the store location I left my wallet at and the customer service is unavailable and they won’t connect us to the store to ask a simple question.

Store us very clean and organized. Not too happy with only one cashier on such a busy day. Also, not very fond of self check out especially when prices are going up every time we shop there. Can't blame employee wages. Only one cashier working.

My friend dropped some sauce on the floor, they didn't get mad. 8/10.

This is the cheapest place to get groceries in Valpo. Clean store with decent selection on most everyday items, surprising amount of plant based options, and it’s always fun to check out seasonal items. Staff provide great customer service, but it is disappointing that Aldi is now pushing self-checkouts. Cashiers are expected to scan groceries and also assist self-checkout customers at the same time, which makes the checkout process less efficient than it used to be, even if lines are technically shorter.

Good selection. Love their cheeses. Great hummus. Produce is decent and priced well. The aisles are narrow but for being a small store they do have a large selection.

Always low prices but man, out of eggs Sunday, told to come back Monday morning so swing by at noon and still out of eggs? Don't lie to me like that.EDIT: Went back today and there's still no eggs and now there's no milk!

I get it prices are going up everywhere but aldi used to be the best prices on vegetables lowest prices on everything I think Aldi's is worried about making more money with their non-food items which seems very popular by the way that the regular prices have went up too much so I will be going back to shopping at the other stores now the one and only time I tried to use the self-checkout one of my items did not scan so the one and only cashier that they had, I had to wait until she was done with her customers before she could come help me I just didn't get the point of one cashier and no one to help the other customers

It was 5 star but now they push self checkout. Only have one cashier at a time on weekends. No one has a clue how to self check out and there's so many items and they don't scan. It's such a mess in this tables are so small and no spare cards laying there for you even put your full bags in. Will go to stracks,Walmart or Meijer from now

It was pretty packed when I went. The prices are much higher than other Aldi's. I never had any bad experiences with the employees at this location until yesterday. I was at the register and I had went over with a few things with the price and I had asked her to please take a few things off my groceries because I didn't have enough food stamps to cover the amount. And she said we take debit and credit cards (but rudely) Then when I told her that I don't have that kind of cash. Then I had a few of the grocery bags that you have to pay for. And she went to get those and take those out of my cart. She was starting to take those of my list and then said well you don't have cash. These cost money and then I had told her that I had enough change to pay for those plastic bags and she just rolled her eyes and got pretty upset I wasn't very happy with that lady yesterday she treated me not very nicely because I had food stamps and I couldn't afford everything that was in my car and asked her to take some of it back

The prices they have there are always low! You can find good deals and the off-brands are still good quality in my experience. Also they sometimes have seasonal specials like my favorite pecan pie eggnog to look out for!

Great prices on everyday essentials, milk is usually around $1.75-2.00 dozen eggs are always under $.50 bread loaves for .$95, and their produce is better than the other markets in town. Great quality for a great price

I love shopping at Aldi's. Great prices and easy to get around. The only thing they don't have a lot of is Lactose free products. So, I have to go to Meijer for those items.

I sbopped this afternoon, and was pleasantly surprised at the items that were available. I had envisioned empty shelves, no fresh produce, bread, or other staples. This was not the case at all, though inventory wasn't totally where it usually was. There are limits on purchasing of nearly all items, usually 3. But, more than 1 worker explained that that means 3 of each type or flavor. So, you technically could buy 3 of every bread item in the store if you chose. There was a sign posted at the entrance saying that their toilet paper shipment had not arrived. And I noticed there was very little fresh meat. But there was plenty of food and other items in the store with more being put out in several departments. There were more checkouts open than I have ever seen, as well. The people I spoke to who work there said that everyone is working hard to make sure customers have access to what they need. It showed, and I think the staff should be commended for their hard work under trying circumstances.

Recently renovated, with plenty of parking. This grocery store is a great option for the budget conscience. Many of the brands change from week to week and your never sure what they will be carrying. It makes shopping a bit of a surprise! Some really great budget wine options, too!
