John and the crew of Vonbernd were beyond phenomenal to work with. John has a special way of understanding dog behavior and mannerisms with hisMany years working as a K9 trainer: We took a loosely trained GSD and over six months got her certified in protection and obedience. This process built amazing confidence and strengthened the bond between our dog and ourselves. We are forever thankful to this crew for giving our family a new start and can’t wait to comeback to refresh our training.

Used this business for having my dogs boarded for 1 night. They charged $120 for 2 days for 2 dogs (even tho it was 1 overnight) because they stated that they had them most of the day Saturday and most of the day on Sunday. The only thing they told me was just to call them whenever we got back in town on Sunday and we could make arrangements for pick up. I was more than a bit shocked when I was told what the total was. I paid the $120 without questioning. Their business and their way of doing business... I should have inquired more.*They also did not allow dog beds or blankets which would have been nice to know before we dropped them off.We have boarded at other local places for 1 overnight with drop off and pick up times being the same hours and have been charged $44-$50 for both dogs. (Most places charge by how many overnights they keep the animals) We won't be using this company for boarding services again and will never recommend them to anyone.

Absolutely outstanding service. We took both obedience and defensive training. Our german shepherd, Rex, took to john's method of instruction enthusiastically. Rex is now certified in obedience and defense. While very aggressive when " turned on" he is hugely friendly and gentle with friendly adults and all children. As a part of john's service I take Rex back to him every two months for a quick tune up. I highly recommend the Von Bernd training center if you want a well behaved dog.

We have2- 4 year old mini doodles who jumped up on people and got excited all the time. They were out of control. Since we have been training with John, our dogs are listening better and behaving better. I have discovered that I have to be their Alpha dog. John will show you how you can change your perspective on training you and the dogs and get great results. Would recommend to anyone with a dog.

My husband took our German Shepard in for evaluation today. She seen a monkey in a cage and barked, the man who I assume would be doing the training smacked my dog in the face. This is a family dog. We have small children. Hitting a dog in that manner can result in aggressive behavior. Obviously this establishment is not for our pet and we will be spending our money on a trainer who knows how to train our puppy properly without hitting her.

I have just taken my dog in today for an evaluation to see what we have to work with...within minutes, the trainer had her walking properly, and,taught her the command, stay..and,She actually stayed! Went for the full package and Training starts tomorrow- I will keep my reviews accurate and up to date.

DO NOT USE THIS TRAINER! The way he described his training method did not include abuse. He held my 5 month old puppy in the air by a choke collar multiple times as a correction method and yanked her around repeatedly by that choke collar. His said you don’t correct out of anger and then did exactly that.

Went for evaluation for training classes...he had my dog sitting..staying...and walking with him within 5 minutes and taught her to not jump on people... signing up for classes!! Worth the cost to have your dog well behaved!!
