I had a wonderful experience bringing home my puppy from Petland Terre Haute. The store itself is very clean and you can notice the employees cleaning the rooms often. I expect a pet store to have a stronger animal smell than this Petland does. The puppies are nice looking and clean. I appreciated all of the extras that Petland gives out with the puppies such as food, vitamins, kennel, toys, shampoo, and more. This certainly isn't required of Petland, but it is nice to know that they want all of their puppies well taken care of when they go home. The warranties offered are a nice addition as they offer peace of mind. Even though the employees are always super busy, I find that an effort is always made to meet my needs and answer any questions I might have. The purchasing process did take awhile, but it is better to be thorough.

I have brought two dogs from here. I have a Rottweiler (who is now a little over 4 years old) and a Bullmastiff who is a little over 2 years old. My vet thinks my bullmastiff is the best looking one he has ever seen! I had a great experience in this store. The staff made sure I got everything I needed for them and made sure I understood how to use the supplies they send and how their warranties work. They are always helpful every time I visit. They actually have pictures and sometimes videos of where their puppies come from. That to me is going above and beyond. I would definitely recommend visiting!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Let me just start with the blatant lack of educated staff. I bought a bearded dragon a few weeks ago, I asked tons of questions and really wanted to know how he's been living, to make the move less stressful for the guy. I was blatantly lied to about how often he's supposed to eat, how much food to give him, the tank size he needs, the light options he has, the different vitamins and minerals he NEEDS TO SURVIVE, and literally everything else. When I went back to talk to the manager and ask more questions, I was just told to buy more stuff. The staff only care about their commission, and when you are dealing with living creatures, that's absolutely unacceptable. After speaking with an expert, I found out that he is incredibly malnourished and he might not make it.Edit- a manager helped remedy some issues, and we were told that the associate is going to get some more training.

The animals are cute and it's pretty clean. The Staff is friendly as well. The only problem I have is how much they charge for a pet. But, It's fun to go in and play with the animals and give them attention even if it's just a little while.

We have gotten 2 puppies from petland and the people are great! It's really clean and inviting. They have bent over backwards to make sure that we are satisfied. I realize these puppies are more expensive, but they are so well taken care of,and you can spend time with them and get to know them!! Take it from someone who has been scammed, their pets are worth the price. You make a lot of people happy. Thank you1

We called petland looking for a certain fish for our aquarium. They did in fact have what we was looking for. They only had one, so we requested for them to hold it for us and they did.They was very friendly and helpful with our needs and got us exactly what we was looking for.

They need to train their employees a little better in fish ID. I had an employee adamantly tell me that a group of rosy red minnows were electric blue crayfish (a crustscean, not even a fish) because that was the only label on that tank

I went in for the first time to check out a pomsky I saw on their website. Firstly, their pet selection is quite broad... birds, fish, lizards, cat, dogs, etc. I was most interested in the puppies so I'll stick to that for review. It was nice to see that the puppies were housed in pairs and had a slot on their walls to play with their neighboring puppies. (They had a sign up to use hand sanitizer before and after puppies, but I didn't see any available.) The cages aren't labeled with breed or age, but I had their website pulled up on my phone and got a lot of info from there. Pet consultant Tosha was very attentive and answered my million questions with nothing but patience. I liked this pet store's purchase package more than others. If you make a puppy purchase, they basically give you everything you need to make your puppy cozy in their new home, microchipping, and vet and spay/neuter coupon. Expensive, but it's a pet store so that's standard. Found pomskies online both cheaper and more expensive. Wide variety of dogs, clean play area for you and your potential puppy, and attentive staff.

To begin with I regret buying a dog and wish I had adopted instead. There are plenty of wonderful dogs in shelters that need homes I bought a West highland terrier Oct 2016. The breeder they bought him from sold them puppies with horrible skin problems. My Toby has to be on a medication called apoquel that cost almost $70.00 a month. If not he itches constantly, has a horrible rash and loses his hair. Don't get me wrong I love him but the breeder had to know about this skin condition.Do yourself a favor and adopt a wonderful dog from a shelter that needs a home. A shelter dog won't cost you $1000.00 or more either. The photo is Toby now.

Petland is a fun afternoon excursion. I loved the Jenday Conures the most, despite their astronomical cost and the one with quite a bit of birdatude who bit me! If I could afford the $999.99 cost, I would buy one.

Usually a clean place, friendly staff. UPDATE: I purchased two pets from here. The prices have skyrocketed some to over $6000-$8000. Pay attention to where your pets come from. They are purchasing from puppy mills etc. Which lead to long term health and allergy problems (believe me I know). The pup I purchased from them has 150 allergies to things and I pay $120 every 25 days to keep him healthy. It's a big purchase however both of my fur babies are loved and well mannered.

Haven't been back for a while,when they tried to sell me a common yo-yo loache for around $18.00 I was just in there the day before and got one for $8.00 and then when I went to buy another one the next day she said oh "we had a price increase" I think not.!! Never again!

My husband and I recently adopted a rescue dog and I stopped by our local Petland store to buy a new leash, toys, etc. I’d never visited Petland and wasn’t sure which items would be best for our young, feisty new family member. I was approached by a young man (Tyler) who asked me if I needed help with anything. After giving him a description of Squirt, I gave him a rough idea of the items I needed. Not only was he extremely knowledgeable about the products in the store, he related his own experiences with his dog and what works best for him. He wasn’t the least bit pushy as he recommended certain items and he was really honest about the things that probably wouldn’t hold up well with my particular dog. Tyler was relaxed, personable, and so very helpful to me. I’m a senior citizen and not accustomed to such patient, helpful customer service especially in this day and age but he went above and beyond to make my experience productive and enjoyable. He’s truly an asset to his employer! VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER!

I love coming in to Petland. The employees are helpful and knowledgeable. The dogs for sale are very expensive but they come with so many supplies and vaccines. You can pet the pets available for sale. It's just a good experience.

Very nice staff and clean, organized store. Decent product selection and fully stocked. A bit pricey and the animals up for adoption are depressing. Let them go! Stop puppy mills! Not a first choice for my pet care needs, but aside from the sad puppies and high prices, it's a decent place.

The building is too small for all of the business they have. Was arm to arm parked and very warm in there due to the high volume of people inside. They need a bigger building for all of the business they have. Me and my fiancee left because there were way too many people in such a small building.
