Over priced. Handy dandy. Security profiles/harasses the public including myself. Claimed to watch me do something on camera although was seen following me first. I only put something down to be told I was putting it in my pocket. Although pocketed items are not considered stealing if you don't leave with them. They don't even know the criteria of what they claim. Ignorantly trained.

I had a terrible experience. I purchased a Pulsar lawn mover from them. The pull rope stuck, and I couldn't start it. The blade diameter is longer than it should be and doesn't rotate. I showed it to some people who have Pulsar and they say they have never seen such a bizarre thing. The store wants me to drive 36 minutes to the service center in Paris, Illinois, only to hear from them that it is not fixable. The manager for the hardware part has no idea what she is talking about.

Clean bathrooms. Employees in every department. 20$ to copy a key is too expensive when its 4$ most other places. Lots of everything. Used appliances outside for cheap prices. Rebate deal for recurring customers.

I used to really like this place. It has gone down hill as far as quality of products offered for sale. Seems they have less and less quality name brands. Just my observation.

As I travel to and fro, I usually stop by Menards and shop Ray's list. Traveling to pick up a trailer in Missouri and then back to Indiana, I plotted a course through Terra Haute.On the way I scouted stores for prospective deals to pickup in our trailer, on our way back home. On the way, October 19, at this store I found a 14'x7' door and was quoted a price by the knowledgeable assistant manager.On our return trip the 21st, I talked to Rich (asst), who was not knowledgeable to what was in his bargain area. Rich and I went out and I pointed to the door, and questioned him about a cancelled special order pallet of 24 pcs.14' brown pro-rib metal. He said that he didn't know what it was doing in the bargain area. I said it was obviously a cancelled special order of 14' brown , that is discontinued from being a stock size around 4 weeks ago. His demeanor changed from being annoyed, when being called to give me a price on several items that were not priced in the Ray's list area, to being seemingly pissed, that I knew the status condition of the pro rib metal.We went in and he quoted me a price on the door over 4x the price I was quoted 2 days previous. When I asked the price of the metal he said it was sold, and that it was brought down for a contractor. (So much for not knowing what is was doing there ( lie)).Since the contractor had not paid for the metal, I offered to buy it. He said the contractor was going to pay full price for it. I called him on that statement, after being lied to already, and said I would buy it for full price. Rich (asst) who declared himself the head department manager of building materials, outright refused to sell me the metal.I went to the front desk and asked to talk to the manager on duty. Taylor, the very nice front end manager, said that there was no store mgr. there at 10 am., But Kevin would be in at noon. And if I wanted, I could talk to the "receiving manager" as he was the highest ranking manager present at that time. I declined, because......My question is: where was the metal before it was brought down to the bargain area FOR the contractor, my competitor? Enter the "receiving manager".....Menards has a slogan, "we're your suppler, not your competitor ". They should add: " but our staff will favor your competitor and even refuse to sell you materials in favor of their cronyism".

The people working there are less than helpful.I bought around $28.00 worth of stuff .I used a $7 rebate and paid the rest in cash.When I got home I realized that and item around $10 was not the correct thing.I took it back instead of getting my $10 back the forced me to take $7 of it in store credit.This makes no sense since there was still $18 in the original sales.I think management needs to re-evaluate this policy. They just loss a customer.

This is my favorite store lol as a DIY woman with constant projects and a rather lovable plant addiction lol you can get whatever you need for your home here. Their return policy is to the point and are very good about any returns or exchanges you may have. The store is always clean and its easy to find someone to help you out if you should need.

Always have what I need and of course a little more than I go for. Everything easily accessible, priced fair( as fair as things can get right now), and amazingly I have had some really good help. Those guys in the yard have been great, polite, helpful, and ready to answer any questions.

Shout out to Menards! All the employees I came across tonight were extremely helpful. That’s NOT been my experience here and while I know people spend thousands here but when I say I have on when I don’t make even 25k a year it should matter a bit. When I’m here and ignored because I’m a girl… yeah it happens. But tonight from the girl in electric to the kid, ok not a kid but I’m getting old, that helped with the drywall to the guy in paint and then the parking lot to load my car… a HUGE THANK YOU!!! You guys all rocked tonight!! It’s so appreciated!!

I purchased a Maytag dryer that stopped working in 10 days. Bill the manager gave me a repair number, refused to help, and hung up on me. Update: the number they gave me was wrong. My dryer is only 10 days old, it should not be broke already and I should not be having this trouble trying to get it fixed when I should Have a clean exchange. It is only 10 days old. They took $2000.00 cash and should have the honesty and decency to swap the dryer immediately.

The absolute worse store in the county, everything that we bought had to be recorded because it was either broke scratched, or the wrong color. Customer service was terrible, and they even tried to get us to take a door with a big chunk out of it so they didn't have to reorder it. This would be a great location to start a supply store, but with the management and store associates, you can forget having anything good come from it.

I currently work at this establishment so my review may have some bias, but the service I’ve received here while simply shopping has been top notch. The employees are all educated on their specific area of work and very helpful. There is a strict mask mandate, but notices are posted throughout the store telling customers one is needed upon entry. Masks are also provided up front at service for those who are in need of one. Our security politely gives warnings to those not obeying store mask mandates and then escorts those out who do not obey. It’s pretty simple do not enter if you refuse to wear a mask. Other than that the shopping experience here is easy, simple, and pleasant.

The store is so large and well stocked. I spent an hour or more shopping.Everyone were wearing masks and the cars were wiped down by someone at the cart corral.The staff were friendly and helpful.They are having a rebate program right now and many items are discounted.I brought my truck but I new my Boss would get mad if I spent too much money😉And don't forget, if you like this review please press the like button!

Not disabled oriented, I am disabled and usually use my own mobility scooter. I was with my sister and she wanted to stop at Menards. She parked and went in to see if they had a mobility cart for me to use. The manager told her they had one but you aren't allowed to take it outside. This makes no sense. She came out to truck and between her my cane I made it into store. If I had fell on their parking lot, I bet they would have wished they let her bring the mobility cart out. I shopped in their outside patio and gravel area looking for plants and pots. When I paid for my items, I asked the lady by exit door, how I was suppose to get my stuff to the truck. She said I wasn't suppose to take scooter to their outside patio either. Guess if you're disabled you either can't shop here or only shop in certain parts of store, if you make it from car to inside store first.

Overall, a good shopping experience. Store is clean and the cashier was very courteous. Sometimes, I don't like bagging my own purchase. I had a lot of smaller items from various departments and it took a while to bag.I always feel rushed and that I am slowing down the customers behind me in line.

This store is nice itself but the employees are rude and clueless. Asked 4 employees 1 was a manager if they carried receipts books. One shakes her head all rude doesn't even speak the MANAGER says idk I don't think so sorry. Doesn't even check. And another lady just shrugs her shoulders like she don't know how to speak.

I was at both Terre Haute locations! The new South location was clean, friendly and very helpful! Fast service and a pleasant to shop at!The North store was very slow service! Ordered something online and paid for it! Went to get it and very slow service! Waited 30 minutes to pick it up! Pulled up and had to call twice before we got someone to bring our order out to us ☹️

As a contractor I spend a lot of time in stores just like this. It's not my first choice. My wife likes it. The 11% rebate is awesome on big material purchases though. It's a nice little kick back, would be nice as cash instead of a gift card though. Just saying. Good news is there is a menards nearly everywhere!

I turned in a substantial rebate from materials I bought to build an addition. I emailed the rebate company and asked for the status. No reply. I checked the online portal and the rebate doesn't show up. I called the store and they said they can't do anything about it, and they don't have a phone number to inquire about rebates. It has been over 2 months and nothing. At this point I have to Assume the rebate is not coming. I have received rebates that I mailed in after the missing one.
