Got told today that i was no longer a member. Wwnt to take my dog in for a ear problem. And after years of being with them. Like that i was told that they removed all the clients that had not been in the past year. And they were not taking new members. Guess my years of loyalty before ment nothing to them. Now im in search of a new vet to get my fur baby treated.

EDIT***Because of my review, I got a not so nice letter, telling me they will no longer be able to assist us and our 10 fur animals! It’s fine, we found someone else to gladly take us!Not happy at all!! Took my little Yorkie in for a bladder infection, $103 and $83 more, still did not have a diagnose until last night! They were too worried about her rabies vaccine and putting her on heart worm preventative. I understand that but not my first priority with my little girl. Had to go back for a third time to FINALLY get her medicine, for what I’m assuming is a bladder infection! Never was told, I had to call myself when I was told they would be calling me! They took her away for her exam, I was never even told how much she weighed. So now I have her antibiotic for another $46. So $232 for a bladder infection. $5 biohazardous waste fee, and $3 for technician services. I will be finding another animal hospital. Sad that I’ve been going there for years. But they were more worried about add ons to my bill rather than treating my little girl. Also, the vet said this was crucial to check her urine, she wanted to keep her but said it would be in the evening 7 hours later. Or they would stick a needle in her bladder to remove the urine. Stick a needle in my babies belly to collect her urine?! She is peeing all the time. It was not that hard to collect. She was very rude in saying “Well, her bladder is empty” Again, they were worried about her rabies vaccine and heart worm test. If this urine test was so crucial to her, than that should not have been their top concern. Long story short…I took her home, (35 minutesaway) was able to collect urine sample myself, and run it up there. This was absurd. 3 trips to this vet. Never will go back. I need reimbursement for my gas for traveling back and forth 3 times!

I called this morning as my puppy was having an allergic reaction and wanted to gain immediate vet advice and possible attention. To my surprise, as someone who is not an existing client (I am already priced out of their customer base), I was directed to hang up the phone and call an Indy vet. That location is an hour and 20 minutes away. What is the point of having an emergency line, but directing those in a possible emergency to a vet that is over an hour away. It simply screams that the business is in it for all the wrong reasons.

Great vet, but their prices have become outragous. Tgey wanted $1700 for my 7lb dogs teethe cleaning not counting any extractions. Thats terrible.

I have been coming here for years with my fur babies! On the 27th I lost my best friend and they were just amazing! I had her cremated and they put her in an urn and this nice bag!! Thank you so much for your caring of our loved ones!! I will 100% recommend them!Update had to take my Lil fur baby in for a tumor, the got her into surgery the next day and now she is home resting! Heritage cares about money, not animals. I have been a client of this vet and another vet in the area back and forth for several years. I have a Chihuahua that broke its leg clean through. I called the after hours On-Call vet and told them what happened and they just acted annoyed. They said I'd have to go to Purdue or IU to have it repaired unless I wanted to have Heritage to amputate. They said this, seeming annoyed, like they just didn't want to deal with it.I called the other vet, and they met me and had it set and fixed up all in a few hours. They didn't even mention even having to amputate it. DO NOT GO HERE! Find a vet that cares, that you can count on, and who has reliable after hours service.

Once again the care and service received by Dr. Cooke, Dr. Jess along with staff was amazing. I had a concern with one of my cats and didn’t have an appointment. I came in and the care that the front office staff showed was so loving and gracious. I’m grateful to have this place to go to when it comes to the health and well-being of all of my animals! I know they are in the best hands! Thank you for servicing this community, for your heart for animals and their caregivers as well as the knowledge and wisdom of the profession!

I have boarded my cat there twice, and both times have been very happy with the care she was given. They gave her the special food I brought for her on the schedule I requested.

I wouldn’t recommend them at all. They’re expensive doesn’t help you with anything! & they killed my dog that I had for ten years took her there once and she never came back home to me & on top of that they misspelled my cats name when I got him cremated instead of Vern they put burn. Made me pay 85 for that and he was boy not a girl they gave me a pink thing. And I’ve heard from other ppl how rude they’re ppl are I highly don’t suggest them

This place is absolutely amazing, First time I took my precious baby girl there for a grooming,needless to say the groomer is my mother in law but did an amazing job on her , she took such good care of her so I wasn't worried about leaving her ,Thank you Heritage animal hospital for taking such good care of her and the staff is so friendly and kind ,I'll definitely be taking her back.👍

Always super-nice and go out of their way to help.*** UPDATE: I changed my review because I have been going here for YEARS (since 1997 with various pets) and wanted to get my geriatric cat in to have someone look at her. Was told that since my pet hadn't been active for two years that they would not see her. Did not even offer a referral to another provider. So, so disappointed.

Has been our family vet for 15 years. Excellent care, very nice kennel for boarding, has grooming services onsite. Prices are a little higher than other local vets and very limited Saturday hours. A few policy changes lately that I'm not a fan of, but the care provided and treatments available set them apart from other local vets.

I used to take my three cats here since I moved to Terre Haute several years ago. My husband was already well established with them for even longer.However, last couple years my husband and I have had terrible luck trying to get an appointment with them for a dog of his that needed put down for cancer and for my cat with an infection. They tried scheduling my cat a month out and I knew it couldn’t wait that long.Called today to schedule an appointment for my new puppy to have its shots, and was told I haven’t been there since 2018 and not considered a client of theirs and are not taking new clients.Needless to say, unless you can go to them continuously as a ‘client,’ and can wait awhile for appointments, don’t bother. Look elsewhere.

They totally suck. I called them to try and get my sick ferret that was having a hard time breathing in to see them. They told me that since I was not a existing customer that they could not help me. I am not their customer and never will be. I don't know how you are supposed to be their customer since they obviously don't take new people. Some kind of vet they are. They won't even help a sick animal. My Asia passed away not that they care. I would definitely not go here ever.

Although they only had one veterinarian working today with a full schedule, Dr. Jessica Cooke worked me in. One of my cats has a urinary tract issue and is unable to void her bladder normally at all.Dr. Jessica treated my Gracie Ann for a bladder infection today and explained things thoroughly to me with clear instructions. Even being worked into a full scheduled day, I was there only around an hour.I have always received great care at Heritage Animal Hospital!

The quality of care is good, the scheduling not so great, seems like it's always 15-30 min after our appt. B4 we see the doc. It is handicap accessible and the bathroom us as well.

Very friendly staff, easy to make boarding reservations, and check-in was smooth. It is the very first time our dogs went willingly back to the kennel with the staff without whimpering. Our pets were happy and excited to visit Heritage Animal Hospital North. They are normally a little scared and they loved the staff immediately. The facility was new, clean, very organized, and,I believe, we have found a new place for our pets. Thanks for taking care of our loved ones.
