I love shopping here! Bill, Kara, and Samantha are so helpful and kind. I've never had a bad experience with any of the employees. Those are just the ones I know the names of.Atlantis almost always has new products when I visit. I love how they consistently sell their usual fish, while also getting in new and rare ones. I highly recommend them because they're locally owned, and they know their stuff!

My daughter LOVED checking out all of the different fish, tanks, birds, reptiles, crabs, etc. My dad used to bring me here as a kid and now I get to bring my baby. They've expanded the amount of tanks and types of fish since then. The staff is always so friendly and knowledgeable. We had a wonderful time, so glad this place exists!

Absolutely amazing! Very impressive. Anybody and everybody should come check this place out, especially if you have children. And if you're bored one day and have nothing to do, let your kids walk around. It looks like a zoo.

Visited today for the first time to look for ball python supplies, and I won’t be back.I can’t really say anything about the fish (not my expertise), but the condition of the reptiles in this store is deplorable. Tanks are super small, filthy, and overcrowded. The whole place smells like urine. I didn’t think to take pictures, but every tank had multiple old shed skins and piles of feces/urates. If you don’t have reptiles, you might not know this, but reptiles only shed their skin every few weeks (adults every few months), and snakes only poop about once every week or two since they don’t get fed every day. This built up filth is indicative of insane neglect and abuse.The animals were overpriced, too, which is crazy because they’re probably loaded with parasites/diseases. Most of them are housed together with other individuals, even the solitary species that will fight or even eat each other if cohabitated. Add that to the small enclosure sizes (tanks inappropriate for one ball python, let alone 3) and you have a recipe for disaster.It’s a wonder any of the animals are alive. I’m dumbfounded that places like this can function without running into legal trouble, to be honest. Do not go here if you value animal welfare (or your money, which would be better spent at a reptile show or on MorphMarket).

Absolutely loved it. Came the other day just to check it out. We’re new to to the Terre Haute area. Definitely love having an option outside of some box store. Will be coming back many times for all our fish/snake needs!

This place is horrible !! The tanks are filthy and are full of feces ! There are hoarding animals and they are all very malnourished. Hoarding 7+ leopard geckos in one tiny tank, so skinny you can see their spines, one was missing an eye probably due to fighting with the million other geckos in the tank !! They have had the same birds in the store for 10+ years and they are plucking their own feathers out due to stress. The store also smells horrible as soon as you walk in and every thing is insanely over priced !

My daughter and I loved it here! There was axolotl's, which I had never seen in person before, and little seahorses! It was so much fun, and I definitely will be coming back here soon. Maybe sooner than planned.

Businesses like this are the root of what is wrong with the herpetoculture hobby. They had a chameleon that was so malnourished and dehydrated, which is so sad to see an animal suffering at such a young age due to neglect and ignorance. Employee had the audacity to claim chameleons don't drink water, that it "probably just needs a spray". Employing individuals who have no knowledge of the lives they are responsible for and selling, as well as spreading harmful misinformation about the husbandry of said animals just to make a quick easy sale, NEEDS TO STOP. USARK exists to fight businesses exactly like this. We need to save them the trouble of having to deal with yet another source of what gives exotic keepers a bad reputation, and STOP SUPPORTING IGNORANT HARMFUL PET STORES LIKE ATLANTIS AQUATIC GARDENS. The sooner they get put out of business, the lesser amount of animals will inevitably fall victim to their neglect, or get sold to ignorant homes following their harmful advice. Death by abuse is the worst way for a young life to go. I will say it again, this store will continue abuse until they can't afford to anymore. Force them into bankruptcy.

This place is the definition of animal abuse! The people that work here are so incompetent they don’t know chameleons need to drink water!!! They said you only need to spray the tank! The animals are severely skinny and dehydrated. Never come here

Great selection. Average prices not overpriced. Beautiful aquarium setups. Could use some more frequent cleaning and some exhibits need enlarging. Otherwise it is like visiting a mini zoo. Great place to take kids. Staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.

tanks and enclosures are filthy and overcrowded. they dont know how to take care of any of their reptiles. their leopard geckos look terrible and their poor chameleon is about to die of dehydration. dont fund their animal abuse.

Atlantis is a sweet gem in Terre Haute. They have lots of fish, birds, snakes, lizards, and pet supplies. You could spend an hour in there looking at everything. You can feed certain fish for a small fee. Fun place to visit.

Visited for the first time with my teenaged daughter. We very much enjoyed looking through the store. We really had no idea what to expect going in but pleased to Soo not only a wide variety of fishes but also several other creatures. Some are for sale, some are for exhibit only. We plan to return when we have more time and did not make a purchase this visit. However, the employees we interacted with were friendly and helpful. Looking forward to finding some new additions to our tank. Plus, my daughter is trying to convince me she needs a chameleon!

What a beautiful place! The birds are so beautiful and every animal there is so cute and friendly "except the ones you can clearly see to not mess with" and the animals are labeled excellent, so you know exactly what you're looking at! My favorite part was feeding the Koi and talking to the "pretty birds" they loved that!

Large selection of aquarium products and much cheaper than the big box stores! Needed a new hood light for my 20G tank and ended up just buying a whole new hood and I love it and it has a splash guard so the light won't short out like my last two though they were supposed to be waterproof. Large selection of fish as well and will be replacing my guppies with something a bit more flashy in the new year from their stock. I'm not in the reptile keeping hobby yet but they always have beautiful snakes and lizards for sale.

This is a big store with a large selection of animals and supplies. Unfortunately the facility is run down. Many areas are dark and dingy with piled up (broken?) tanks and such. Many of the fish tanks appeared to be dirty with massive amounts of algae and detritus visible. Additionally, I walked around the store for about an hour before I found someone to help me. Interesting place. I will not be back.

It's great that they have so many animals that most pet store don't have but the service is lacking. The last three times I have been in there I've stopped in just to grab frozen mice and they have been out, from what I could see in the freezer. There has not been one staff member, any of those times, anywhere that I could find to ask when they were going to have some in. This was after walking around for 30 min or so to find someone and looking at all the animals. I thought I would stop in today in hopes that they got some in. There was a lady and her young child waiting at the counter. After about 10 min of waiting I asked her if she had been waiting long and she said she had been in the store for an hour and waiting the last 30 min of that at the counter. She said she hadn't seen an employee the whole time she had been in there.
