Located a few miles off of Lake Wawasee, Joe’s Ice Cream Shop is a great place to cool off during the your days at the lake. My girlfriend and I split the banana split boat and barely finished it. It’s a great deal and ice cream is delicious. Without outdoor seating and a drive-thru, I highly recommend stopping by.

Friendly staff and delicious ice cream! I tried the pineapple shake, Soo good! They use fresh ingredients and mix the shakes the old fashioned way. A necessary staple when visiting Syracuse, IN!

Nothing but good things to say about this place. It’s always fantastic. Banana splits are huge and cheap, the chocolate covered cherry sundae is amazing. Malts are fantastic too!

I showed up just after they opened on a Sunday. I was promptly waited on by a nice young lady and I ordered the premium hand dipped banana split with three different flavors of ice cream with all the toppings. I needed two more people to help me finish that thing. Fantastic ice cream, great service at a fair price. What else could you ask for?

This is a great place to stop for Ice cream. If you order the banana split, make sure you bring a friend. It's enough for two.

They have so many handed ice creams to choose from they also have a drive-thru I like going and getting their Turtles Sunday is huge and only $6 whipped cream and cherry on top included

**Beware***if you arrive before closing and the line is long, you will be denied service if you get to the window at the top of the hour when they close. We waited more than 15 minutes before they were closed, the people in front of us were served, however when we stepped up to the window the young man yelled “CLOSED” and slammed the window shut. I guess our money is no good here….don’t worry, I won’t be back.

It’s got good ice cream but slowest service I’ve ever experienced. 25 minutes to move through 4 cars. No excuse for that.

They have good ice cream but online it says they’re open. Nine times out of 10 you get there and they’re not if they’re not gonna be open change it or even put a sign up.Finally opened, but they switched vendors and their lemon ice cream isn’t good anymore

Just really enjoy messing with the young employees here. Like pulling up to the window and before the young lady says anything. I said to her. Good evening and welcome to Joe's how may I help you? Lol. She said hey wait I'm supposed to say that to you. And yes the ice cream was very good 👍

They have both soft serve an hard pack. Creative sundaes and amazing banana splits. Drive through or walk up windows. I drive twenty miles for their ice cream . . . enjoy.

So many choices and friendly staff with affordable pricing and hefty helpings, and tonight I noticed the waffle cones are homeade, so yummy!!! Not happy that our wait in the drive-thru was crazy even though the line wasn't that long. I guess good service sometimes takes awhile🤔

Besides the 24 minutes that I had to wait for a shake in an ice cream cone with only one other customer there, the employees were standing to the side talking with friends cuz then proceeded to all go in and out of the building. Then when the unassuming manager showed up she was so nonchalant and blase about the whole situation. It was absolutely ridiculous. I've been to this place many times and this is by far the absolute worst experience I've had here and it will be my last.

The absolute best ice cream on the planet, try the birthday cake and grasshopper ;)Edit: DO NOT waste your time here. They changed their ice cream provider to Sherman's and all of their new flavors are awful. Only thing worth getting is chocolate soda, but you can make that at home easily.

Best ice cream around. We went there on their last day open this season and they had 50% off their ice cream. Stocked up! The young ladies there were great and very nice as always. Prices are to be expected and worth it. Never had anything bad from there.

Joe's is a favorite destination when we're in Syracuse. In addition to approximately 24 flavors of ice cream, they also offer lemon custard, which has a notably creamier texture than ice cream. Prices are good to moderate during the height of the summer season. They have a drive-thru and on-premises outdoor seating for 20-24.

Great Ice Cream shop. They have soft serve and hand dipped ice cream. Many flavors to choose from. Truly something for everyone. My family loves the Cinnamon Churro flavor.

Yummy!! Boys got a reese cup razzle (like a blizzard from DQ) hubby and I got a twist cone! Everything was very good. They have a drive thru so if you dont want to get out you dont have to!

Prices in 2017 were just too high. Two people, two scoops, almost $10. A short drive to North Webster will net you way bigger servings at half the price at their ice cream shop.
