I was referred by my friend Gil to Quilles with the hope that he could help me recreate a deer mount from my youth. 30 years ago I harvested a buck in Switzerland Co and it scored 147 but at the time I was newly married and going to college and just couldn’t afford getting it mounted. So 30 years later Wilson was able to do his magic with my antlers and a photo to recreate my trophy of a lifetime! Whether it’s your first buck or a trophy, I would trust Quilles Taxidermy. Wilson did an excellent job on my shoulder mount. I butchered the hide when I field dressed the deer, with his expertise he was able to make the bad cut non exist on the finished mount. Really appreciate the quality of work he did in the time frame of 3 months.

This was my first experience getting a deer mounted. With my little experience, I about let the cape go bad. However, he was able to save the cape and informed me on ways in the future to preserve the cape if I cannot get it in right away. All in all, it was very reasonably priced and he got it done very quickly with great quality. Very pleased with the experience and will not go to another taxidermist! Highly recommend!

Wilson did a great job; I had a bad experience with another individual and Wilson took on this job not knowing what he was getting into and he did a great job with an even better turnaround time. Waited 23 months on first person. Wilson was less than 3 months and still maintained quality.

I came to Wilson of Quiles Taxidermy in dire need with a daunting project. Mine and my fathers deer had been returned to us unfinished by a different taxidermist in 2015 after a 2 year waiting period. All that we had were the hides, antlers, and a couple lousy pictures of the deer. Wilson extended his service immediately by offering to thaw the hides and examine the condition of the deer to see if they were still in usable condition. Within 2 days, Wilson contacted me stating that he had thawed the hides and was able to obtain the critical measurements needed to mount the deer along with utilizing the pictures for a secondary reference. 2 weeks later, Wilson contacted me again and provided pictures of the deer mounted and ready for the drying process. Within 6 weeks my fathers deer and mine were returned to us, completed. Attention to detail speaks well to Wilson’s artistic craft. It is evident in all of his mounts that he strives to create the most realistic deer mounts possible by highlighting the unique attributes of each deer and creating muscle definition. The constant communication initiated by Wilson is an added bonus and goes to show the compassion he has for his craft. After dealing with multiple taxidermists in the past, I am happy to atttest that Wilson is by far the best from every aspect.
