I find some good deals on meats and can goods. I like to stock up when I'm in the area.Save-A-Lot is a discount grocery store with low prices on fruit, veggies, quality meats, and carefully selected grocery items.Check out a few pictures.

A year after my original review and they are still selling expired meats. Maybe it will take filing a complaint with the health department for save a lot to take food safety seriously. Added a photo of expired chicken that was taken on November 9th. Original review below:This is a great place to shop and save a little money but be aware of all expiration dates. The photo attached was taken today (27 Oct 2021), two days after the expiration date. Most of the ground beef that was there expires today as well. There's a reason things are cheaper so just be aware of that and shop cautiously. A few cents isn't worth getting food poisoning overUpdate:I have uploaded another photo of expired meat taken today (29 Nov 2021).

The produce was literally rotting on the shelves and turning to liquid. The potatoes had eyes growing from them. The dry goods were wildly overpriced, some more expensive than their name brand counterparts at other locations. The meat looked as though it had already been far too oxidized. Beyond the pricing and selection you're expected to either bring your own bags or use scraps of boxes left by the door. It's all an incredible example of kicking the poor while they're already down

Nice store. It is always clean and food/meat is fresh. Prices are better than most with many specials, and our cart is always full when we leave.

I don't really shop here much. It's more of a (last minute I forgot an ingredient) store. I know a lot of people shop here, and love it instead of the other grocer in town. (Even though both stores are owned by the same people)

Thus store has some good deals, along with friendly staff. Just make sure to compare your prices because there are some items that are higher especially if you're looking at the size (ounces or whatever the weight). For a small town it's very convenient to have a reasonable store to shop at.

It ok they had a decent selection of food but there prices were just about the same as any other stores I remember when you used to go to save -a-lots because they were cheaper than any other stores but I guess times have changed now even thou that wasn't that long ago 😁😁

They stay stocked of most things, even while the big chains have been failing. They are typically lower price, but on the brand's names just comparable. Cashiers are always friendly, store is typically clean.They have saffron rice, and that's usually the main reason I go.

The young kids that work there Sarah, Aleesha and Leighland are extremely rude to other employees and customers. The meats are always black and rotted it stinks so bad. Alot of drama and I shop their regularly. The people that work in the back are pretty nice but I think they should recruit new people for front line. You are constantly waiting in line and they just throw your things in the cart and are extremely rude to new employees and talk bad about people then lie about it. Awful place but cheap food. I would not recommend working there unless you like drama.

I love this place they always have everything I need in stock, the quality of the items they sell is great and the prices are hard to beat. I just can't see paying traditional grocery store prices when the items sold at Save-A-Lot are just as good and a lot less expensive.

I love Save-A-Lot their prices are great and the help ever so friendly. I will bag my own groceries (they are done just like I want-all meats, fruits, veggies, can goods, frozen foods ect are grouped together) any day to save money. Next to Wal Mart it is my favorite close food store.

Today is Monday and the last day for the current sale ad. I found all of the items on my shopping list and was surprised to find the shelves nicely stocked after a weekend. Many other store store shelves are bare on a Monday.

This place is always clean and organized! Never very crowded! But if it is it's no big deal because I usually run into Friends and Family! The employees are Awesome and are very helpful!

We get lots of food here. Great prices. Get Mt unsweetened Almond Milk here for a great price of $3. Love the Mexi an section. The tall cans of COCO-Juice (Coconut juice) idea only 99c, Lo ve tve Guava Nector, Marcom extractos. Hace good produce.

Easy to get around and few long lines. Nice and clean. New refrigeration for more products. Friendly staff they keep busy ..don't see anyone standing around. .

I don't shop at Save-A-Lot it much. But at times their sales are amazing and you can't beat the prices. The problem I have with this Save-A-Lot is the produce! I would not recommend buying produce here it always seems old! Other than that the people that work there are very friendly and helpful. In Spencer Indiana you don't have many choices on grocery stores there are only to babbs and Save-A-Lot. So if you need produce go to babbs.

Can be hit or miss. Can get some real good deals on a regular basis. Start your grocery shopping here and fill in the blanks afterward elsewhere. Best prices on produce in Spencer.

Reasonable prices and a decent selection of products...the only draw back of this store is they only have one electric scooter and it never seems to be charged which is why I only gave three stars instead of all five stars.
