This is my first time in this save a lot and a am handicapped so I am in a wheelchair when you come in the front door you have a go to the left to go thru a turn around which there no way a wheelchair would go thru so you had to go down to the end were people are checking out and go thru the check out lane to get into the store I understand the reason why they put the turn around in because of people stealing from their store the store was clean the people were nice I will let going to this store again

Well that was certainly disappointing. Dreary is a reasonable word to describe this company's strange attempt at pretending to be a grocery store. You'll Save A Lot of time by taking my word for it and shopping elsewhere.

The prices aren’t that great and the cheese doesn’t melt like it’s supposed to. I’m not sure if you’re supposed to imagine what the product is like or does but I was given grief for a cheese I exchanged for a different kind in hopes the different kind would melt better because I used some of it.The take and bake pizza, after doctored enough to resemble a pizza (see photo) ends up costing as much as a delivered speciality pizza.The place is close so it’s likely I’ll shop there again but more with a gas station convenience expectation in quality of product, price, and quality of service. Today’s exchange was the only negative experience I’ve had there (of three visits) but it was a doozy.

This is an amazing place to shop. The way you get a cart is very old-school, but it fits with the aesthetic of the place. Today was my first time going there, and it was so cool. Lots of lower prices than what I get at Kroger or Walmart. I highly recommend this place if you're on a budget for food.

The only thing that keeps me coming back every blue moon is the cashiers and that's all. The meat they have there is so spoiled. When we ate from there, my husband's blood pressure was high, me and my kids were always sick. The hot dog are even old. The ground beef, looks dead, and to sell that in a black neighborhood is wrong, or anywhere for that matter. I go to Martin's, and Everything there is so fresh. Even the veggies and fruits. I can't believe Save A Lot is still open after the history of selling spoiled food at a high priceUpdate: The store has upgraded design wise, but the meat is still the same. Just don't look fresh at all. But it's a good place for side dishes, milk and cereal, and most frozen products

They are conveniently close by but I only go there when I am out of something or in a hurry. I like them but many items I have purchased were not very good. They have cut down much of the baked goods and moved the few baked goods items up front. I bought a loaf of bread that was not at all fresh. The second it smelled like old stale bread.

The cashier was nice, the place is stocked, a few choices. Prices have gone up so not much to save. A few things are still cheap. Keep in mind to bring a quarter for the cart 🛒 if you do go.

Low quality food. Produce always looks like the produce other grocers would toss out...but they will still charge you top market price for it! Lol! Not going there again. I'd rather drive the extra four miles to the next closest store.

One star is the lowest it would let me go...Meat cutter had no idea how to cut a roast.. I thought people in the perishable departments had to wear hair nets or caps ..must be a hairy surprise in each package. You can tell a manager but he was the meat manager...store manager is never around to inform either.

Over all was very nice. However, some old biddy of a cashier kept harassing my 6 year old. He had shaggy hair, needs a hair cut, but she kept asking him and I if he was a boy or girl, because she just couldn't tell. Frankly, in my opinion, a person shouldn't be asking after a child's gender. Falls under mind your business.

Since I don't normally carry cash I went to shop but, I didn't have any change in my pocket to "rent" a cart. I asked a cashier if I could use a cart that was at the end of a closed lane. I was told I couldn't use it. I was planning on spending about $100. I wasn't about to use the ATM to get $20 out and pay a ATM fee just to use a cart to shop at that store on top of that. Other than that I used to like save-a-lot. I'll never go back again. They lost a customer for life.

Easy in & out. Convenient location & parking. Some unruly, rude & smelly customers. You can get a contact buzz standing in line! An unsupervised child threw a shoe at my head. Informed security, mgt, cashier. Noone spoke to the mom to get her children under control.

I love Save A Lot their quality of product is as good as their nearest competition . Yet their prices are far better. Their meat dept is far better than than there nearest rival. Fresh and once again and I cannot stress this enough, the prices far cheaper. Other stores" Wal-Mart comes to mind" claim low prices and give low service and prices there at Wal-Mart are far higher than Save A Lot. Save A Lot has high quality service , the very best. I saw an employee " cashier" walking around with a handicap man , doing the shopping for him" placing the items he pointed at in his electric cart. Said carts are always available when I come in there, clean and charged.I can't say this about Wal-Mart which is always a hassle about electric carts.The only one follow you at Wal-Mart is security, treating you like a criminal, if you've ever made a complaint against them., or had words with them for anything.The security guy at Save A Lot takes his job very seriously, Protecting us old fellows, looking out for us.Making sure we get a good clean , fully charged cart. That we make it in and out the store safely.He is very kind , always taking his time with us.Always with a friendly demeanor and even when he has to enforce a rule, he does it with respect, to the individual he is speaking to and extreme kindness.He goes out of his way to explain why it's is this way( like leaving back backs at front of store).He doesn't make you feel bad., like a criminal like Wal-Mart does. I can't say enough how awesome and refreshing this is. I no longer go anywhere else but this particular store on Chapin st. for all my grocery needs.I look forward to seeing my friend the security guard there.I strongly recommend Save A Lot to anyone, edspecially the elderly or handicaped.

Super 1 Foods is always friendly there always stocked full of food. the staff is kind and knowledgeable. I always have a positive experience there always and they have great prices on on their food and other stuff I always recommend them to other family and friends thank you.

Wish my visit could be 1\2 star.. visited store for mail and instore advertised special.. picked up flyer by door good through feb21. Mind you instore valid flyer.. went to pay and was told special was not being honored. Either pay full price or give it back. Managers decision not to honor store special...Being South bend tour guide with over 150.000 people reading my reviews I hope this is something corporate or franshise partner will read... My advice is shop if desperate otherwise there are two many other stores to shop... Unfair practice to advertise and deny....edit 9/25 stopped in just because in area.. store not impressive for me.. seems local shop.. have made improvements. an under the radar store..
