I love shopping here. You’ll find affordable prices and weekly deals. If you go early mornings you won’t find some items just because shelves are not stocked up yet. Friendly staff and clean store.

I usually shop here doing grocery pickup and 9/10 I have missing or improperly subbed out items...add this small inconvenience to the fact that they have been constantly behind on pickup times while waiting almost 30-60 extra minutes to have my order loaded to my car takes unneccessary time out of my day when this service is supposed to help eliminate that for me. The only positive note is that rare case when there is something out of stock at the Merrifield or Town&Country locations, I can usually come here as a backup and what I am looking for is magically in stock which is opposite of the grocery pickup issue.

Drove 45 minutes out of my away to come to this store because you had a very rare plant that Facebook was blowing up. I get there and the lady running the department for today which is April 2 Time 10 o’clock didn’t even know what I was talking about. I had to describe it to her and then she was very short to the point she was rude wearing no name tag. Didn’t bother to call any of the other stores to see if they carried the same plant. I had to do that. I’m not sure Why Kroger’s hires, incompetent people to do the job, but this lady had no clue what she’s doing let alone the plant name that was in the box that she was opening up unless of course she read it on the box. yeah, I won’t be back and I suggest you not go there either. Definitely disappointed!

This location always has better produce than the store near our home (on Merrifield). The staff is very friendly, the aisles are clear, the shelves are usually well stocked, and the store is clean.The parking lot is well paved with no potholes and has plenty of cart corrals (each with a trash can).

This review is related to Customer Service and Management/Supervisor today at The Kroger in Erskine Plaza, South Bend. 1217 E Ireland Rd. Store employees are often very helpful and willing to go out of there way for you. I called the store as I was charged for too many items today. The Supervisor was short, rude, and hung up on me after telling me to come in to customer service. I went in to find Customer Service Closed. Yet again. It is rarely open. Customers at the front of the line stated they had been waiting there over an hour. The manager, Brenda, closed the window in front of them, without explanation, and walked away to go work the checkout lanes. When I called the store to see if someone could come help us, I was talked to like a piece of dirt by the Supervisor again. I told her I could not wait an hour as I have a lot to do. She said “so do we!!“ And hung up on me. 😳 I was never anything but kind to her. It’s sad when the customers are held to a higher level of professionalism than store managers and supervisors. There should always be at least one person working customer service. I understand the lines were long, but abandoning one set of customers to help another, does not make any sense to me. There were 4-5 other lanes open. Thanks to Ninfa at Self Checkout for doing her best to help me.

8 pack of hamburger buns only had 7. I asked if a discount were possible. Manger rolled her eyes looking directly at me. If I had noticed there were only 7, I would have grabbed another before checking out.

DO NOT PLACE AN ORDER FOR PICK-UP. It doesn't MATTER if you place the order early in the day. They are always behind and it NEVER fails....you will wait for hours for an order. If I could give a ZERO....I would AND of course NO MANAGERS available.

I normally go grocery shopping here and they normally have most of the stuff I need but there are times where NONE of the produce is fresh. ALL the strawberries were moldy when I went there yesterday and I bought three avocados and EVERY LAST ONE of them were moldy and bad. And the shelves are never organized and when they run out of something on the shelves they DO NOT RESTOCK IT even thought they visibly have some in the back. Like yesterday I needed 2% milk and there wasn't any on the shelves but you could see them in the back so I nicely asked a worker if he could restock the 2% real quickly or to grab me one from the back and he said “There aren't any more” I'm not sure if they were bad or what but it was really weird and kind of threw me off.

Bald man whos been working the deli for awhile has been the worst person ive ever had to deal with at any store or place ever. Hes always rude. He always makes you wait forever for him to help you while hes doing nothing. Ive heard him being that way to plenty of people over the years also. Complains about everything and is also that way to the other employees. Its crazy to mehow anyone who manages a place where you have customer contact would ever let him work. He is the only reason I won't be going back

Long time customer never coming back. I told three employees standing at the YouScan that they should be fired. No regular lanes were open. One lady had an entire cart using the scan with the belt. They just stood there talking. Didn't help her bag or anything. Unbelievable. The guy told me they call it YouScan for a reason. I'm done and won't be back. 06/15/2023 around 8:40 pm

I had gone to two Kroger. Both being out of stock on a particular item. I'd called in to this store and asked customer service, a lady by the name of Shane, when they are expecting the restock of this item. She had called me a hassle, not answered my question but told me to call some other companies, and when I'd asked her name, had hung up on me.I just thought I'd rate and respond to this experience with a gracious heart.

This is the store to hit up if you're in the shoplifting game. It's as if they hire the most ignorant people they can find. I watched a guy go through the store and load up a clear trash bag full of food and then walk out the entrance door. Nobody noticed. Nobody thought that was suspicious. Obviously, kroger has no loss prevention agents.Other than that, they are usually stocked up with whatever I went in for. Employees are alright, never had to interact with too many of them.

Went in this evening to get some Lotto tickets for Christmas. All but 3 were messed up- they were cut incorrectly by the machine. After asking who I needed to speak with, I had to come back a 1/2 hour later as she had gone on lunch. Christine helped me get new tickets. She was slammed and still helped. I so appreciate her!

We love the cliklist, we have been using it since 2020 & have never had any issues. It’s super easy to use & saves us a lot of money . I like doing my pick up on Thursdays best because the gentleman, Dan, who loads out order is so friendly & always does a great job.

Mike in the Deli was extremely helpful and stopped working on a extremely large order that was due in 10 min to serve me. I would have waited but explained I only needed 3 items this visit. Kudos to Mike. Huge shout out for the excellent customer service!!!

The store has went into the toilet completely. Always only 1 or 2 lanes open during peak times, self checkouts get backed up by at least 20 people long on a regular basis, every single shopping cart is always gone and you have to walk back outside (better off to just leave the store entirely) and play games trying to hunt down an empty shopping cart somewhere in the parking lot for 5-10 mins before you find one. The food is ALWAYS expired and never rotated. 5 times I have gotten more than one food item from here that was expired. I just bought a package of Oreos on Dec. 7th 2022 that expired back on April 23 of 2022. I have also seen loafs of bread on the shelves that have been nibbled on by rats that are still on the shelves for sale. Like seriously, come on. The "fresh produce" is also NEVER fresh, it's usually always soft and squishy on the near side of rotten, and the fruit flies swarm in the masses above them and in them. The store used to be a great store back in 2013, 2014 , and now it's just totally fallen apart. Too bad.

Since COVID Kroger has not had a full staff and it seems to me that they are no longer that busy either. I still find 99% of the items I want stocked on the shelves. I still find that self-scan lines can be long at times, but I still prefer stopping at Kroger. I can find most of the stuff I need when I need it. I wish they could get more employees but the ones that they have (the long-term workers that have been there for decades) they do THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I am very appreciative of all the cashiers and their hard work getting us in and out quickly. The store is clean enough and the employees are friendly whenever I ask a question which is rare.

Keeps expired food on their shelves, shame on me for not double checking.. Came back to exchange, note on customer service desk states they'll be back in fifteen minutes. As I look around I see three employees just hanging out, one on her phone and the other two chit-chatting; only two lanes open with 5+ people in each lane and two people in line at customer service. If you're on break, take it elsewhere because this is a terrible look. Good luck finding fresh produce. Been shopping here for 3 years, time to find a new grocery store, this was the last straw.

The lighting out front was poor so it’s not clear they’re open after dark. This is their best store in the area for space, cleanliness and amount of inventory on shelves. It’s also a great location — easier and safer to navigate than Grape Road (they don’t have a store there).

The store is dirty. Carts are never available they are outside and there are never enough. Produce is always moldy and old broccoli was so old it was turning yellow. Employees outside in the front of the store smoking. Items constantly out of stock. They need new management!!

Twice have I went to this location and been treated BEYOND poorly. The first time I was feeling ill in the store and could not finish checking out. The clerk at the time made a grand show as if I were trying to steal. She said she would transfer my purchase to a "register up front". I told her I would be leaving all items where they could be seen and left promptly feeling extremely judged.The 2nd time I had an issue while checking out. I went over my budget and quickly apologized trying to sort out the matter. I asked if there was a way I could have my order sent to another register like the following time. The cashier made yet another grand spectacle of my mistake, saying she wasn't able to do that and that the new customer's groceries would have to be taken off the belt, drawing an unnecessary amount of attention to my situation basically. Then she had to phone for help after she made an error. Instead of being discreet she very loudly announced my situation and the type of payment I was using. All in all I down right hated both experiences. I would give zero stars if I did not enjoy the products and sales. IF YOU DON'T LIKE PEOPLE, WHY WORK IN CUSTOMER SERVICE?!

I like the pharmacy a lot. Good people! If you get a Kroger customer card, you get good coupons in the mail, as well as fuel points that are a nice perk. The store itself is a little funky, but it's also been around for a while, so it's understandable. Overall good, but they need more checkout lanes open.

I went into the store to buy one thing any I basically felt guilted into rounding up my order. So as far as I know they have people round up and keep the money. From now on I suggest having exact change or use your cards.Don't let them guilty you into rounding up especially if the the money is just going to the company.

A bunch of check out lanes but only one person checking a line of 9 out. Also the register person had to bag the stuff as well.
