Although I was able to get what I was looking for, I’m disappointed with the conditions of this location. Just because it’s in an area that is declining doesn’t mean it has to be this way. This is unacceptable Family Dollars. This neighborhood deserves better.

Good local store. Friendly enough..people always outside looking for handouts.. that's just a location thing. New visit disaster..unclean getto language..rude....update 3/6 mentioned to store manager about lot condition.. Response was it always looks like that.. Pictures are only one side of lot..store unclean inside as well.. If your local in area I know you are stuck here I am not.. I will Never revisit this store..management does not care..AVOID AVOID AVOID...update 5/10/21 same as before need overnight shift to stock and avoid clutter. understaffed. non caring.6/27 trash everywhere

Store has made a turn around due to a completely new crew being brought in from other stores to do the job right. Aisles are clear and shelves are getting stocked with the correct products.

I gotta say... this particular Family Dollar store appears a bit tiny to me, But..., I keep in mind the place is kinda like the neighborhood corner store that, no matter the size, it's comfortable. The employees are completely personable and helpful my each and every visit.

I've gone to the store for 10 years, and in the last few years half the stuff is put on the shelves, the rest is carts full of boxes not away yet and it is difficult to maneuver. I've never stopped going, and I've never had a problem here. I just miss the way it was in the beginning

They're never open on time and they always close early. Isles are always blocked by carts and the employees don't seem to know what they're doing. If you're looking for something look somewhere else

They are hardly ever open anymore. Google says they close at 9pm but they can close anywhere from 5pm to 8pm. I have never seen them open after 8

I love this store. Lost my wallet and the staff diligently looked for if for me. When they found it they called me to come and get it. I came 3hrs later but with a smile on his face the manager said " I knew you'd be here". This is my favorite store in South Bend!! Their the BEST!!

Would like to give a shout out for Ms. Pat. She is the most professional, committed,and valuable employee that this FAMILY DOLLAR has! She should be greatly rewarded with raises and paid vacation time!As for the downside, this place is awful if you try to reach them by phone. I lost my debit card in the store and tried to call several times. No one very answered the phone after 5 calls. This was on Tuesday, 1/21/20 .I was in the store at 2:45 and began calling at 3p last call was made at 5pm and still no answer. Very unprofessionals who worked during this shift.

If I cold give it zero stars, I would. I was checking out when a lady entered the register area from the wrong direction, said excuse me to my kids, didn't say it to me, and almost hit me with her cart. We yelled at each other and swore, but then the manager and her employee stood by while this woman disability bashed me. Told me disabled people shouldn't go to stores, or even go in public. Disabled people aren't meant to be around normal people. And the manager and employee watched, and when I asked why they were yelling at ME and never at her, they simply said "You started it." So if you go to Family Dollar and you have a disability, they'll gladly watch you be made to feel like less than a person.

Place is always messy. Boxes covering up the aisles. Rude workers and always beggars outside the door harassing people and no one does anything about it. Definitely not a safe feeling place there. Oh and careful not to fall in the ENORMOUS pot hole in the parking lot. Ridiculous

Cashier was new and not trained on what to do when customer is paying with a credit card. The man in line behind me was impatient and causing a scene because it was taking to long for me to pay and the cashier was stating loudly that my card was no good because the screen was asking me to enter my pin number and I couldn't get him( the cashier ) to comprehend that credit cards don't have pin numbers. I personally will not shop at that location again even if it were the only store open in the entire city and it is located 6 blocks from my home.

Always says open but you show up to a note on the door says closed until further notice 😠put ALL updates on line it says you are open and at 8 am place opens at 11 if they show up at all operate like a real business or close up completely people need something to count on

Store stays congested with items in the aisle which makes it very difficult to shop other than that they have the best cleaning supplies and the best hair products and I live right up the street around the corner so it's very accessible to me thank you.

Disgusting , never put merch out it's always blocking isles , the end cap at the pet food isle has had the same sprite and water bottles there for over a month !!

Is as advertised. Customer Service is excellent. The only thing missing is a wow factor. But then again, it's Family Dollars. Would give it a higher rate it was something more special about the location.

They had what I needed...but the store is very unorganized the floors are very dirty and there's just stuff everywhere I was shocked!!! And all my 53 years I have never seen a store that dirty before and still be able to operate.

This place is nast dirty employee's are very unprofessional. Always loud rap blasting, employees eating at the register. Half eaten food on the shelfs, boxes everywhere, food is setting on the floor. This place is a definite fire hazard.

Dirty dirty dirty... Make sure you have change because they won't round down they round up and take your money. The help was very rude but I guess if I worked in those conditions I would be grouchy too😒

What a mess !!! Big mistake moving isles around. And check out is centered in the middle ? I used to spend big money there. Will never be back. Lakeville Dollar General gets my money. Andthe young black man running the cash register needs more patience. I can't just hand you my items when the slow family with a child is still standing at the register. Smh

Homeless people begging for money , prostituting offering ,sales trades tracfficing drugs , unfamily and unchildren friendly , sex offenders hangout ,store robberies, store thieves, strong arm robbery area, gun and knives robberies, harassing people, disorderly conduct people, unsanitary conditions outside and inside store , rude snotty disrespecting employees, employers !

Everything you need (from China!) for a buck! 9AM-9PM - Find stuff that's $3 - $4 at other stores - (exact same stuff!) for 1 slim dollah!Handy for cleansers, paper & plastic goods, and Party supplies! Save you $$ for healthy food, instead!

NASTY! Theft and pandhandlers all time. Clerks can't function right. Too much talking between clerks and customers. Don't bring your family here or kids. Cops are there a lot times.
