The Dairy Dept was very messy. Freezer area had lots of boxes all over it. Needs some cleaning done. Prices aren't bad but clean stores are so much nicer to shop at.

I’ve been coming here since I was little and I do like this store. Everything is usually in stock and they don’t constantly change the layout to where it’s confusing. I only gave 3 stars though because some of the employees seem almost annoyed to help out shoppers. I’ve seen some employees roll their eyes and not say anything to customers who have asked them a question. Also, there is a cashier there who was extremely rude to my mother and I. Not to mention, I’ve seen her speak rudely to other customers during previous shopping trips. She caught an attitude and even raised her voice at my mom and accused her of trying to leave the store without paying (we were just trying to take a few items off but we didn’t know which ones yet) The store is great but I would definitely look into the way the employees speak to / treat customers.

Kroger has really good sales, but they are almost always out of the deals I came in for. It doesn't matter if it is the first, second, or even last day of the sale. I have tried going first thing in the morning and in the afternoon. It is frustrating to plan out your meals for the week and put ingredients in your cart only to get to where the main ingredient should be and they are out. You then have to trek back through the store putting things back. I usually end up going to Aldi to finish my shopping.

After reading some of the reviews below… please don’t give good reviews because people working there are related to you. The store always smells, the produce is never fresh. We don’t know how many time we've witnessed technicians at the pharmacy treating customers poorly. It has gotten worse in the last two years. We just want a Kroger with decent employees. It seems like they are hiring anyone who comes through the door.

I don't come here unless it's absolutely necessary, maybe 3 times in the last year if I needed something I couldn't find elsewhere. The place was clean and well stocked the few times I've been there. Unless you want to be forced to the self checkouts though, then stay away. Only has maybe 2 regular checkout lanes versus 10-12 self checkouts. Not once have I ever seen the standard lines open. I've however seen people with huge cartloads having to use a tiny self checkout station because they don't staff the standard ones. I'm not going to any store and self checking an entire cart full of stuff myself. If people want to self checkout, then fine, have that option there, but at least give the choice. At least keep one standard line open for those who may have a large amount or cart full of stuff that a tiny self station is extremely inconvenient for.

This store is awful. It’s dirty, cluttered & crowded. I saw tons of broken eggs on the floor all dried up.. they didn’t clean it up & just put a wet floor sign on top of it. Like WTH? The food is constantly out of date here. I saw applesauce that expired in August of LAST YEAR. The lines are so long on the weekends because only self checkout is open. If I can buy it elsewhere I do. I refuse to come to this location. This kroger used to be a lot nicer 5/6 years ago. Now it’s awful. Might as well close it. This community deserves a nice grocery store not this place. I wouldn’t even want my worst enemy going here that’s how bad it is. Kroger for the love of god hire some decent employees and clean this store up.

If your bakery doesn't have a cake decorator, DO NOT PRETEND they do!Ordered my son's 2nd Birthday cake here and to say we were disappointed is an understatement. Paid $41.99 for a cake that looks NOTHING like what we ordered. They even called to change the design and still screwed it up awful. Originally I ordered marble but that was another issue when they called they were out of marble cake so I said chocolate would be fine but nope it was half and half so now I have half a cake no one will eat. I will be discussing this with the manager in person I just want to save others this migraine. They can't decorate cakes but sure will take the order smh

I used to shop for groceries at Kroger exclusively. I loved their deals, great produce, and great customer service. Unfortunately the Shelbyville Kroger's customer service has really gone downhill. I have a large family so when I grocery shop I usually have a full cart. They have transitioned to self checkout and rarely are there any cashier lanes open. Also I have had several times when they are out of the sale items that draw me into the store. They have hired some new cashier's and in my experience, the new ones are much less friendly, less helpful, bordering on rude. I'm not usually one to complain, but I'm really disappointed in what I see. I used to feel like it was a friendly, helpful, well stocked store that I actually enjoyed shopping in. As much as I hate to say it, Walmart will be getting more of my business from now on. If I have to check out myself, and deal with employees that are rude and don't care, then I might as well.

Raised in Phoenix I started my loyalty to Kroger at Fry's. When I relocated for the Army I could always find my hometown store, King Soopers, Dillons, or whatever they were called. The Shelbyville, Indiana Kroger's is the only one in Indiana that has the same feeling of familiarity that I share whether it's Colorado, Kansas, Arizona or any other locations I've visited. Keep up the good work!

The staff is always friendly and conscientious. The produce and meat are of good quality and competitively priced. The self-check lanes are user friendly and make a quick trip even quicker. Have occasionally had issues with product availability, but generally a great choice.

I usually stop at Kroger to do my shopping as they typically have better produce than the other stores but for the last several weeks I have been there has been no quality control whatsoever all kinds of produce rotting on the shelves the workers don't care to do anything but stand around watching the Manger doesn't even care about the state of the store there is no customer service whatsoever even when you call them we should not have to go to multiple grocery stores just to get the things we need I work for the distribution plant for Kroger I know that we ship all produce 2 weeks before it has to be sold so why Kroger is selling rotting produce is beyond me as I've personally been working overtime at work so that krogers get exactly what they need and in a timely manner there is no excuse to have nothing but rotting food on your shelves especially with the prices these days not to mention that half the store is shut down for remodel and the lines to checkout stretch across the entire store with no cashier's in sight it's not worth spending the extra money here anymore take your business to Walmart

Would rate higher if they watched their inventory levels better. In my last visit they were completely out of Diet Mountain Dew and Mountain Dew Zero! Several other items were very low such as only 2 half hams in the case. Not golden hostess cupcakes, no Nature's Own thick sliced white bread. Last visit they were completely out of Gatorade zero and G2! Staff are always helpful.

Produce has flies and gnats all around it and staff is extremely rude. Asking a simple question about an item is like pulling teeth. Marcee the store assistant manager needs to learn some respect for customers and staff.

Nice and clean the employees are friendly if you can find them to help you they'll be glad to go other way to help you handicap parking handicap accessible they will help you find things if you can't they even bag the grocery store you you do not have to use a self checkout here

I’ve never had a bad experience here except for when the lady that works at the self checkout with the short dark hair and glasses is working. Every time I need help, I have to wait on her to stop having personal conversations with her friends. If you’re not a local, she’s going to be rude. I have held my tongue on her behavior but today I witnessed her humiliate a woman by yelling at her and asking common sense questions solely because the woman was Latina. Hopefully you can be a more kind lady but so far, you have not proved that.

I went shopping after work, 1:30am, and as usual the cashier that I normally encounter was very friendly and engaging. She politely greeted me and her other regular late night customers. I have always had great service at this location in Shelbyville.

Came by at 10:45 the other day and another time two weeks ago around 10:45 also the doors were locked, don’t put signs that say you close at 11 when you don’t close at that time. Some people are just coming to get some quick stuff and due to leaving work at 10:30 it becomes complicated.

Very friendly and courteous service except for the late night shift which I don't recommend going after 10pm.The experience is very different between the late shift which is not good nor friendly or helpful, to great service during the day and the early evening shifts.This has been very consistent through the past several years of my shopping at Kroger's.

Do not buy diesel at this store. Have bought diesel at this store every week for six months since I bought my truck. Have bought nowhere else. Truck shut down on me and burned fuel pump out. Mechanic said had gas in tank. Kroger will not back their product. Lesson learned. Do not buy diesel fuel at Kroger.

Me and some friends were on our way home from a long roadtrip and had to use the bathroom and were told they were cleaning so we began to leave. On our way out the store manager implied to us that we were shoplifting, clearly trying to intimidate us. We left and went on our way and will avoid this place at all costs
