Now that they are open & no signs on the door when you want to run grab something needed quickly (IF THEY HAVE IT EVEN) it’s nice to have on this side of town!Can’t say much about organization… seems one trash cart is always on the same isle… same place! That carts sat there for weeks!I returned something and the guy never once spoke to me… another employee was kind enough to apologize and try to help, however the non-speaking guy had to do my return- which he spent on the phone the entire time being told what to do. Even while completing this he never was polite or even spoke to me!The few employees that are kind and friendly in here are overwhelmed I’m sure! I was in management and I’m overwhelmed always looking at ALL the stock still in boxes! It never seems, ever to get put away! (Both DG’s in town always have tons of boxes in their isles! Seems like the fire marshal would think it’s hazardous)All in all the few employees that smile and are friendly keep me going back… I feel for them in this time when no one wants to work! (Hang in there)

Went for a last minute birthday present for a young girl. She loves unicorns, which are VERY popular at this moment, and NOTHING with unicorns in store. Had to go generic with coloring stuff 🙄 Isles were a wreck... Which is pretty standard in most Dollar General stores that I have been to.

I like the newer remodel and they have a pretty good selection. And it is convenient for me on my way to work. The staff are also very nice and polite. I stopped there on new years eve right before they closed and they did not miss a beat trying to help me find everything I needed.

Terrible terrible customer service!! The store manger was rude and argumentative the entire time I was in the store! The older assistant manger was rude as well! Although the cashier and girl stocking were incredibly nice and very helpful! I definitely could not work or shop at this store! The district manger for this location needs to respond to this stores customer service issues. Especially as a store manger you cannot treat people like she does.

Emma is outstanding at her job and her customer service is above and beyond. Can't beat her positive attitude. Love visiting this store and drive 45 min often to do so. Although there is Vicki who is a NEW addiction to this store and seems to think she runs that store. Haha. She's extremely rude and unpersonable.

I believe I was influential in getting this store on the west side of town being I contacted Dollar General viabe-mail, surveys etc.. Great they built this store as we have nothing on the West side anymore. Now the really bad thing, the store is too small and the isles! I've never been in a store with tight spaces like that and will go back to get inside pictures soon, of what I talk about. Don't go if your clousterphobic!

My wife and I both agreed this has to be the dirtiest dollar store we've ever been in. Next to that everything else was ok. The service was good. Maybe they were just short of help, who knows.

New management, and almost entire new staff. Seems to be better since, still have trouble keeping certain things in stock alot, and the back corner is always crowed with carts so it's hard to get to disposable plates and such. BUT it's getting there.

Both stores in Shelbyville, In need new management. Every time I go into the one on Broadway it is a complete disaster, empty shelves and all, and the one in Miller seems well kept but out of stock on many items.

Love this place for one reason...there's a lady that has worked there for a long time, and I come in every Sunday. I love seeing her, she is funny, hardworking, and always helpful. We bought a house here in Shelbyville one year ago today, and only knowing my in-laws here in town, this woman helped me on multiple occasions. I just adore her....she is one of the best people I have run into from this city. I know she is from Delaware, and is quick to help others. I also know that the other lady that has made me feel at home here, she works at Burger King, she also adores the lady at DG. I have made it a habit of going to DG every Sunday morning, mostly when they open, early, to see the lady, and tell her how much I appreciate her. She says I make her day...isn't that what it's about, spreading kindness, and letting others know how much they have touched our lives?! It's been a year, and I'm happy to say, if it wasn't for the kind lady at DG, and Burger King, I would still be uncomfortable going around town. Now, I'm super happy to bring the grandkids around, visit our people, and enjoy the friendships that have naturally happened!!!! Thank you ladies, you both are the best!!!!

Young female employee was too ashamed to give me her name, presumably because of the way she was acting, wore no name tag, was EXTREMELY RUDE to me and my PRESCHOOL-AGE daughter.I will never give them another penny.

Some people in this store need to get their priorities straight. It makes no sense to be down talking customers to other customers and employees shame on you. I will be contacting customer care immediately

I only put a one star cause well you have to to write a review this is by far the worst dollar general i have ever been too you have to hunt for your prices and then find that the spot is empty where the product is supposed to be it is so trashed with items just thrown everywhere and the employees are not much better and hygiene should be a number one priority in customer service js spare yourself the trip

Great place for buying condiments and bottled drinks. Don't buy anything that expires though. The hard goods are cheap and cheerful. I love the convenience to.

The aisles were a bit cramped, but their truck had just arrived. Great selection, staff were very friendly and helpful!

Always has carts full of stock crammed into the aisles. It's hard to get around or see the shelves. No matter the amount of people in line I've only seen them open a second register once.

Kinda dark inside the store. So it's hard to tell from the rise if its open during the day. Decent sized store and friendly associates. Just kinda feels overly full of stuff stacked on shelves.
