I absolutely HATE going into the one by my house bcuz they are "ALWAYS" out of stuff that I need to buy when I go there.. And granted I know the pandemic has messed us up so it's hard to hire people right now BUT man the people that work here complain about that place all day every day like that's what I wanna hear when I go shoppin..... Anyways this store needs cleaned up or shut down bcuz it's so useless to have a store that close to ya but can't go in and shop bcuz they don't have what ya wanna shop for.... Ok I'm DONE complaining now... Lol

Store had alot of boxes with product needing put on shelves but alot of dollar general stores are like that. Just have to walk around but can be a hazard.

Aisles were full of stock needing put on shelves. Many shelves were empty of product. Needed more workers. The few workers who were there were pleasant and helpful. It was explained because of new management. I've been a client of this store since before it moved to the current location. I have never seen this store in such chaos before today. The few workers there were doing their best. Great employees!

Good place to find a variety of items from soda pops, milk and eggs, household cleaning supplies, Automotive, and many other items. The staff seems helpful and friendly. This location usually stays fairly busy but there is plenty of parking and there a large parking lot. The shelves are usually stocked up pretty well and the store seems to be clean and organized. Good place to get in and out of quick if you just need a few basic items.

Much more clean than the average dollar general and I did not have any issue finding everything I needed. Did not see too many items out of stock.Facemasks were worn by employees who were also very cordial and helpful.

Associates are nice. They are understaffed. They need to replace items they have been out of for a while and keep lots of what they sell a lot of. This goes for other stores too. I really like Dollar General and will continue shopping there. Well lit outside, convenient and easy to get to.

Visited this one on a road trip to Indiana. Upon entering the door the I was greeted by friendly helpful cashier who quickly pointed me in the direction of products I was looking for. It was a nice experience and since I was travelling with my little dog and they welcomed having him. I would stop at this store again if in the area.

Not sure who is at fault, but the coupons and deals offered in the app only seem to work about 1/2 the time, if that often... This trip I thought they all worked until further review and realized that almost none of them actually applied... This is one of the ONLY places that seems to argue with people wherever you take your receipt back in and question it... I know, I know, I'm the one who keeps going back... Yeah yeah. :-/

Total mess, by far the worst store I have ever been in. Ran in to get a couple items and they weren't there. The shelves were totally empty in some sections and the floors were covered with items, boxes and carts full of invetory were blocking most of the aisles at racks to where you couldnt get to anything just a total wreck. Would not recommend going here.

Cashier only one their and outside smoking. NEVER have the inventory that is in ad. The store is always a mess! I'm surprised someone hasn't been hurt by now. I love your products (when they are available) however, I have NEVER seen a store with not enough products or staff. I will start driving to Morristown or the one on 40 in Greenfield before going back to the Shelbyville store. A business such as yours should NEVER have closed signs due to lack of staff ever.

Now that there's no Walmart in town, Dollar store needs to carry more stock... unfortunately they don't! And rarely have things such as laundry soap and dish soap. Rude staff. Manager always outside smoking leaving cashier alone in store full of customers. I AVOID this MESS and will pay more at Kroger to do so.

The employees are friendly but this is a busy store in a small town with no other shoppi g avaulable. They need more help. I never go in there when there arent those big carys blocking many of the aisles. They dont have enough employees to stock the shelves so the carts are just left everywhere. I've been trying to get down the aisle with the blankets and curtains ( I need both) for over a month. Still blocked. Tried again this morning but no luck. I need totes too but they have been on the shelf for weeks without a price. You have to bring them up to the cash register and wait in line for them to give you a price. I'm on my way to Wal-Mart. It's crowded there but I can get down the aisles and the prices are clearly marked.

Conveniently located, they have mostly everything you need without having to go to the big department store. Friendly staff who are always there to help you find items. Good sales weekly. Low prices.

The Dollar General on Broadway is sad. It is always hard to get down aisles, and the shelves are never stocked.I am usually there 3 or more times a week so this is not a random thing.If they would pay their employees a decent wage they would probably have employees who stay and employees who take pride in their store.Come on Dollar General get it together!

They have everything you need in a small store!! Well stocked shelves, name brand items, and we love all the clover valley brand item we've tried so far! Very Convenient!!

Is this store ever open? I was there around 7:30 pm and found a sign on door saying they closed at 7 and to visit their other store. Who has time to go across town for 1 item? This is the second time this summer that this has happened to me at this store. Next time I won’t even bother, there’s a Family Dollar a couple of blocks away. Before I left parking lot, 3 other people had also walked up to the door. Who runs a business like this?!?!

The new store at 900 block on st Rd 44, needs stock off floor and placed on shelves..which are empty so there's room to put away. Loved it to start but lately, location is best I can say for it.

REVISED TO ONE STAR... Open till ten means ten. This is the 3r time in 5 weeks that I have went to this DG and it was closed before 10. And I'm not talking about 2-5 minutes. Tonight on March 4th, 2020 it was quarter till and the doors were locked.Last August I bought some Christmas ornaments from the other DG in town. But I needed one more letter. So I went here and asked when they'd be putting their out. Oh next week they'd say. Didn't happen. But I continued to ask every week, well it NEVER happened. I needed a "J" to complete my sons name Jon. To hang on his wall at the Rehabilitation hospital, Esp. Kidz. It was important to me and they'd get red because I asked over and over. Just ridiculous.

They usually have what I need when I don't want or need to run into a larger store. The bad side is sometimes it is messy in the store or the aisles are too filled with merchandise.

Friendly staff, but the store is always cluttered with inventory. It can be very difficult to find and get what you need. Thankfully the staff is pretty knowledgeable about where things are located. Cheap prices as well!

Somethings I was wanting to purchase we're not in stock.( fabric sofenter tampons) etc.... There's always stock sitting in the aisles blocking some of them. The staff is very friendly
