I did a store pickup order at this location because I happened to be in town. My order was $20. I went in and picked up my order no problem, the lady that checked me out said I was good to go. Later in the week I get a call from the manager that my order was never checked out by the employee and asked me to come in and pay for it. I live 45 minutes away and offered to pay over the phone. He refused and said I need to come in store to pay for it. I told him I’m not driving 45 min just to do that when it wasn’t my fault to begin with. I said next time I’m in the area I can stop by. He accused me of thinking it’s okay to not pay for things and was being very passive aggressive. Won’t ever shop here again. Incompetent management.

I rarely make it into big lots. My son mentioned checking out their Christmas items and I was really surprised in the selection. Lots of items and store was full. The check out area was a bit tight. If your cart is full be ready to juggle the items for the lack of room. Staff was nice and helpful.

Twice I've been here and there is a piece of furniture that we like, and they don't have it. They can order them, but it is between 8 to 12 weeks wait time. On one occasion we went to another store over 30 minutes away where they told us they had some in inventory, and they did, but it was $100 more!!! So our family wasted about 1.5 hours, and about 5 gallons worth of gas, all for nothing. You've lost another customer.

The furnituresalesman I spoke with was very friendly n knowledgeable. The recliner I was interested in was not available and from what I heard from another store the company, Lane, that makes that recliner has gone out of business!Tried to buy the floor display and he said he could not sell it. I've bought furniture there before and very disappointed I couldn't buy the recliner, it was the best I've seen, for me, in the past couple months that I've been looking.

It's ok when they have sales on patio/outdoor items. Big lots as a whole is not as good as the original store concept of selling "left over" stock from other stores. Not really a bargain store anymore.

This is my favorite Biglots. They have good customer service and it is well stocked. I came here for Halloween decorations. They didn't disappoint me. There were some different decorations available here than in Indy. I always come here when I come to Shelbyville.

Not very friendly people here. Walk in an one guy is sitting on a couch with ear buds in and then when checking out she asked if I had a loyalty card, I thought I did, but did she offer to sign me up so I could get a discount? Nope!! Won't be back although I did see some things I was going to come back for but not after that treatment.

Love this Big Lots! The staff is helpful and friendly. If there's ever been a problem with price or quality they have always taken care of it. They have always been able to answer my questions about policies and they aren't pushy when trying to sell you something. The store is really clean and organized and I appreciate being able to find what I am looking for.

Store was very clean and organized especially for as busy as it was. There was a piece of furniture on display for a child's room that we wanted but could not find it boxed up nor was it priced. The associate working that area was assisting another customer and we were kind of in a hurry so we just went with a cheaper version.

Very family friendly, the recent renovation did wonders making this location more open and able to carry more desirable products. However the lack of available furniture ready to be sold is why I gave 4 stars. Overall, this is a great location!

i went into big lots for a bed frame and they said that had all the part besides the footboard and the lady said it will take up to 12 weeks for them to get all the pieces again, so i got the only one they had in stock and when i picked it up 2 days later and got back home i opened a box that said footboard and it was the one to the bed i originally wanted that was told to me was out of stock. so i had to drive another 30 minutes back to return the footboard and get the one that i needed to match the headboard and rails. and when we asked them about the footboard that they said they didn’t have in stock, which was a lie. the man said “ well you didn’t have good help then”

They never seem to be busy not sure how they actually stay in business. Always have new items each time I go. On trend with styles and seasons. Usually very clean and well organized. Super friendly staff.

Took the tag off the furniture that said "take me home today " to pay for it. I was told it was not in stock. I could put 10% down to get it in 8-9 weeks. Associate didn't seem to care. Glad Big Lots doesn't need the money.

A piece of furniture with a sign on it reading "take me home today". Wanted to buy it and take it home with me today. Was told it would be 10-14 weeks before it would be delivered for pickup. "WHAT". I asked why I couldn't take the one on the floor? I was told it was not for sale. "WHAT"🤷🤷🤷🤷🤬🤬

Store is very clean, shelves are always stalked, and employees seem very nice. Furniture is what you pay but they want full price for displays. Kinda of crazy considering everyone sits on them or messes with them.

Big Lots is sort of like a cheaper version of Wal-Mart, lol. They seem to get in all types of odd items that were once over stocked and a factory went belly up, so they buy the inventory at dirt cheap prices and resell it. I like the random items along with the always there items I find in this store. Prices are low, staff is nice and helpful, the place is clean, organized, and a good place to go for certain items.

Big Lots always has deals that I can't even find online for electronic accessories. They also have great deals on just about everything else. This particular Big Lots has a nice furniture section as well. I'm not ashamed to say that I own quite a few pieces of furniture from here.

I had 3 questions and I asked a young man that was stocking and he helped me with no hesitation. My cashier,Tina was very nice with a smile. The store looked very,very nice.
