They do a fantastic job making my Bella look great. It is a great day at the spa when I take her to get groomed.

I took my long-haired German Shepherd in there for a slight trim because she was leaving clumps of hair all over the carpets in my house and my wife was throwing a fit. I told them I did not want her shaved I wanted at least one inch of hair left on her body. Obviously the person doing the trimming does not read the directions this is the third time I have been dissatisfied when taking my dog there for a haircut.

Changing my review from 5 stars to 2 stars. They used to do good, but the last two times I’ve taken my dogs in for a TRIM they have come back completely shaved. There was no matting in their fur, so there was no reason for the groomers to not follow directions. I clarified multiple times that they just needed trimmed, and the groomer even repeated it back to me. They also butchered around their faces. I’ll be finding another groomer.

Just had my dogs nails trimmed here for the first time. Although her nails did get trimmed and they didn’t cut her quicks as I’ve experienced at other groomers, there are still several reasons I won’t return: #1 - when you walk in the front door, you’re smacked in the face with the most horrendous smell. The place is filthy, and that’s just the lobby. Who knows what the grooming and boarding facilities look and smell like. #2 - my dog still has her dew claws. When I got to my car after her trim was complete, I decided to check and see if they were trimmed and they weren’t. I did tell the receptionist when we first got there. She said she told the groomer but apparently he didn’t hear her. Either way, it’s the groomer’s responsibility to complete the job thoroughly, which includes making sure to trim every nail. I had to take her back in so they could get those 2 nails. And #3 - the don’t take cards. I left my wallet at home and just stuck my card in my pocket so I didn’t have cash or check with me. I had to run over to the gas station to use the atm. Not terrible, but definitely inconvenient.

Don't call when a dog gets out. They wait until the owner shows up 3+ hours later to pick the dog up. Also, they don't inform people before they show up for boarding that they have a kennel cough out brake, leaving the family no choice but to board their dog with them. The dog is up to date on vacations and still ends up sick. They also love blocking people who speak up about their business.

We come here for boarding and nail trims and have for years. We love the staff and how good they are with our babies. We had a diabetic cat we boarded with them, they gave her injections and took care of her for us. We trust them and I'm grateful for them. Thanks for everything

I was NOT pleased with this groomer.Took it upon themselves to give my Maltese a dry bath instead of a regular shampoo. Her nails were never trimmed. Her hair was still long and nasty looking. On, never again!!

Had my dog in and out in about 15min 10yrs old Razorback Pit which has been my service dog for approximately 10yrs now..Really didn't know how she would react for she has always been independent and done her own nails but she's starting to age and I will be honest I was a chicken in trying to trim them and since she started to get overgrown and affecting her walking I had to do something so I came here and she literally just got in because they waited on us over their normal time obviously outta LOVE for animals because they didn't charge me an arm and a leg..Literally right around $20 that was trimming her nails and we got a new walking leash and I could tell how happy my dog was just the way she was walking and excited....Thank you to the staff for helping us truly a blessing.....

I love this place. I trust the people here better than any groomer I've taken my furbaby to. This business is a smaller family owned company, which in my book says they are more personal with you. Prices are just right too. You get what you pay for and they never disappoint. Highly recommend and will continue taking my furbabies

Actual grooming was fine. When we went to pick up our goldendoodle, they handed us a collar and leash that didn’t belong to us. We brought him in with a leash and harness. They said they don’t know what happened to the harness?? And claims no dog came in with harness today. Gave us a used service dog collar and charged full price for the groom without any compensation.I was going to let it go, but when I asked them to give me a new leash and collar that is not used by another dog, they gave me a flimsy one, which has the name “Kris” labeled onto it.Honestly, if you lost the leash and harness the decent thing to do it offer a replacement. They sell new ones on the side but gave me some used ones. Very unprofessional. So including the price of my original leash and harness, I basically paid x2 the price for one grooming session.

Took my Doberman to doggy daycare for the first time in his whole 2 years of life. He went to their daycare for almost 3 weeks while I worked. EVERY night he came home exhausted and slept. Dobermans are super hyper... I was shocked. Saw pictures of playtime on Facebook. He enjoyed going and they took good care of him. Highly recommend Paws n Klaws for your daycare needs. Will be a repeat customer the next time my boy needs daycare!

If I could rate lower I would. Staff and owner did not handle first time stay for my dog well at all. Poor communication regarding acceptable payment for day care, threatened to not give me my dog for 1 day of day care, 12 dollars. Debit cards not an option. Ask me to bring my dogs toy in, in a bag, I did that and they still nearly lost it. My dog acted like he had not had water all afternoon, and is now showing symptoms of possible kennel cough. When I called about that, owner was short and rude. I would not take a hamster to them.

Took my two cats in to be groomed, we discussed in detail on the phone prior to dropping them off and again once I arrived that both cats were to be bathed, flea dipped, nails trimmed and ears cleaned. Hair trimming wasn't necessary due them both being short haired. Within an hour of picking them up I ran a flea comb thru their fur which was very dirty and full of fleas, nails hadn't been trimmed and ears were not cleaned. One cat did have hair trimmed on the back of his neck with an actual patch of hair gone. After speaking with the owner and being made aware a refund wasn't going to happen but I could "bring them by to clean their ears and trim their nails", I live an hour away so to "pop by", is not very convenient. I basically paid them over $100 to babysit my fur babies, if I were anyone looking for reliable grooming services, I'd go elsewhere. I most definitely will not be using their services again nor will I recommend them to anyone.

Paid up front and left my doodle while I went to work. After work, they claimed she had anxiety and would had needed to shave her. Not an issue but they never offered to refund partially for not being able to do the work. They trimmed her hair around the eyes, a bath, and trimmed her nails.Took her to a different groomer who was able to to give her a beautiful cut, a bath, and a nail trim which they say this place didn't even do.Would not recommend, poor customer service.

I really am pleased with this place. The lady at the desk was very friendly, they got me in quick and done a great job on our golden doodle. The prices was very reasonable as well. I won’t take my dog to any place in scottsburg so I drive to this place it’s worth the drive. My dog Milo seems to love the place and I do appreciate them.

Took my labradoodle in for a groom. The ladies at the front desk were very nice. Dropped off my dog and felt confident he would be taken care of. After four hours of waiting on a call that he was done, we finally called the shop and they said he was finished. When we picked him up his coat looked terrible. Absolute hack job on his fur. He was patchy all over and looked terrible. At the beginning of the appointment I asked that his nails were clipped as short as possible, his ears be trimmed inside (as labradoodles are prone to ear infections with hair growing inside), and clip the fur in between his paws. They trimmed the nails on one of his paws and didn’t touch the others. They also did not cut the fur inside his ears. He came home itching with irritated skin and has a terrible rash/razor burn on his thigh. I am so disappointed in how my dog looks and we will not be back.

I took a doggy there that hadn't been taken very good care of, he was scared and aggressive. And theu still got him cleaned up. They were so nice to him. Then when he got out later that night, they remembered him, and called me. They were awesome!

These gals are the best! Only place I'll take my fur babies to get their nails done and grooming. Only ladies that didn't leave my previous fur baby visibly shaken and scared, she always left there happy as could be. Definitely recommend this place!

They did a great job with our 2 dogs. My older one is typically nervous since he is deaf and partially blind, but he was so happy when I picked him up. Those ladies were great!

Took our two dogs for the holiday weekend and they told us to pick up between 5 & 6. At 5 after 5 we arrived to pick them up and no one was there. We called the line for the office and em the emergency line and left a message asking about our pets. Hours later we received a call saying that we were blatantly wrong and that they waited for us for fifteen minutes before leaving (we left the parking lot at 5:17 once we realized no one was there or coming back. Very poor customer service and VERY poor attitude on the phone which staff that does not know their own hours or times. Do not recommend this place and my family and I will never be back. Make sure that you check their times on the signs versus trusting what they say otherwise you’ll be charged for another night

Young lady that greets and takes dogs back was very nice!! I recently took my dogs to Paws&Claws, paid almost $100, that was for wash, cut, nails and glands popped. I picked up dogs with horrible hair cuts, no wash, no pop, and sharp nails. The next day FLEAS! And a horrible rash with big bumps. After calling for 4 days the owner finally told me to come in and she would bath Marley (she was the worse) and give me 20$ back... Told me that she looked just fine to her, after I refused not to allow her to shampoo my scared to death dog, she finally said well please let me at least cut her hair and get it fix..., hmmmm remind you when I first got there She looked fine to Karen, she then agreed to give me 57.00 dollars back, once I asked to see video of them bathing my dogs. Also the girl who was cutting my dogs hair was on the phone texting, the owner said she allows them to be on there phones so they can let people know when they are done, well she wasnt calling me and that's probably why my dogs hair was horrible and they scalped her chest. I'm not on to complain about stuff or even get mad. But when it comes to my dogs I think this is enough to write a review about. Karen then told me if I was a true Christian I would be honest enough to put that she did a least give me money back, and she did give it back after I was refusing to leave without it, she then had me sign a paper saying I wouldn't come back to her property. Wow. And I wasn't even mean about it.

We have taken our shi-tzu here four times now. The first two times he looked amazing! The third he was a bit choppy, but I chalked it up to the possibility of matting, which is common with his breed (if you do not brush frequently and seeing as how we live in the country and he thinks he is a hound dog, keeping up is next to impossible). The third time I took him in and he was shaking, a nervous wreck. He is 2 1/2 years old. We’ve been grooming for years and with the previous groomer, Nancy, he loved going to her home and playing with her dogs. He would jump right out of the car and trot to her door..knowing what to expect. I have NEVER seen him like this. The groomer (whose name I am unsure of) came to meet us, she said she may have to go shorter on his cut because he seemed to be slightly matted. I told her that was acceptable and I understood. When I got him back, 5 hours later, he was unrecognizable. I thought he must have been in horrible shape, the groomer did not come out to discuss the length of whether I was happy with the cut. I got home and looked back to see how long it had been since his last visit. 10 weeks. We usually do 8. I think noticed a red spot on his eye that seemed to get worse. I wasn’t sure if it was from the blades being too hot and close to the skin..now four days later his eye is scabbed. I have yet to call and tell the company as I am FURIOUS. This is totally unacceptable and if she had knicked him, telling me, the client would have kept my business. We will NEVER be back (to breed or board, which we also do) and we will NEVER recommend this place to family or friends!!!

1. Young groomer lied about cutting my dogs.2. Older male rough handled my service dog.3. Tonight told a young male to leave my service dog alone and got smart remarks from him.4. Feel sorry for Tammy and front desk because they are EXCEPTIONAL.5. Had standing appointment every other Wednesday. Canceled all future appointments.

Paws n klaws is absolutely the best. I'll never board my boxer with anyone else again! They have an awesome variety of treats for your pet including a special walk down to kovernors Korner for some doggie ice cream! They also have a day care service for those that don't want to leave their pets at home all day. 10/10

I've been very happy with how Nugget has been groomed. So far the price is the best from other groomers.
