I have been a customer of Care Pets for 15+ years and just recently had an amazing experience with them and the care they provided for my senior pup after her procedure. The doctors and staff both exceeded my expectations (especially Todd) and I cannot thank them enough for the supervision they provided for my old girl to make sure she healed up and was ready to come home. I highly recommend Care Pets to anyone looking for a reputable vet to take care of their fury friend.

I brought in our 13yr old bunny due to a massive tumor under his hind leg. Found out it was cancer and we had to lay him to rest. The staff, and the Vet were all extremely nice and compassionate. They allowed me to stay with him during the process and gave me the time needed to say goodbye. Not once did they rush me. I would recommend this Vet to anyone with a fur baby. Cannot give them enough stars for the review.

The staff is incredibly accommodating and gracious. My cat is a very difficult patient, but the staff's understanding and determination to give him the best care possible is the entire reason I go to Care Pets - In fact, I won't go anywhere else anymore. No other vet has ever had the patience that they've given to my pet time after time. I leave feeling like my pet is in the best hands possible, with exemplary communication during and after care, and for very fair cost of service. We have been to three other vets in the southern Indiana area and when the rest disappointed us, Care Pets came through and keeps doing so consistently. They are the best around.

Dr. Schmidtchen and Austin were fantastic to work with! They let my dog make himself right at home as soon as we got there and Dr. Schmidtchen was extremely thorough with her knowledge and expertise! She happy I brought my dog here and excited to see how he responds to some PT!

We can honestly say that we've had outstanding experiences with this vet; and now that there are two kitties in the picture, one who's pretty sickly since we adopted him, this establishment goes beyond every time we need care. Love Dr Greer and Sarah the vet tech and they love our babies and they treat us like family!! We love bringing them there were they are so comfortable and they can make there selves at home with no issues. We are moving 2.5 hours away but we will continue to bring our babies to Dr Greer no matter what!! We love care pets and we recommend them to everyone!!We have followed Dr Greer from Jefferson Animal Hospital we’re she first treated Kye and she was amazing and he loved her from day one!!

This was my 1st time visiting CarePets and I could not be happier. My dog was very anxious and everyone tried to make her feel comfortable. Dr Hope actually sat in the middle of the floor on her level and did an exam and vax. That said it all. Daisy was much more responsive and less anxious. I will be using this office now for all of Daisy’s needs.

The main veterinarian is very nice and is great. The staff is super nice also. The cost is super high though but I would guess that is standard anymore for anywhere. The staff also made an error and overdosed my dog, Angel (dark brindle and white) . The day after the overdose she was disoriented and her hind quarters wouldnt work. I had to bring her in that next morning. They denied my dog's rapid decline was due to the overdose and apologized. I had to pay for that visit nonetheless. My dog went from incontinent to dead within a week. I'm unsure if I'll go back. Prior to this situation they had been wonderful.I understand that the literature states the medication should not of caused her rapid decline and death. However I would almost be certain that the research was not conducted on dogs her age with her pre-existing condition so therefore there is still reasonable doubt as to whether it did, did not or exacerbated her issues to cause her death. That being said it was a seed of doubt I should never of had to bear during the last week of her life. From a customer service stance I would recommend waiving the $50 office visit fee rather than the less than $10 nail trim fee. I did greatly appreciate the verbal ownership of the mistake from you the day i came in and the empathy you've shown in your post despite my 3 star review. For that, 4 stars. 5 stars when my soul heals and our business relationship bounces back.UPDATE:Just a few months after the loss of Angel I returned when my male dog (tan and white, the son of Angel) had rapidly declined and stopped being able to hold his hind end up and walk. Dr. Evinger was great with my pit-mix yet again. Galliprant was prescribed and Fatboy was back up running around. Unfortunately approximately 3 months later I missed a dose and it threw him into a tailspin and he stopped walking, being able to move position in his bed, drinking and would only eat treats. Again, Dr Evinger was seen. He was check out and it seemed that the pain was so severe from his hip dysplasia, arthritis and degenerative spine that we may have to make some hard choices if medications couldnt get him back up and running. With a new medicine regimen we went home and prayed literally for a miracle. Since we were on our last hopes we also added CBD treats and Tumeric dog treats to the vet prescribed regimen. With no signs of improvement into the late evening I had surrendered to our fate that the next 48 hrs would be our last with him. To my surprise, FatBoy came walking into the room I sat in the next day!!!! And a week into things he is still up and moving quite well. He can do stairs with no major issues, he will actually slightly jump up his front paws when excited and the light from his soul has returned to his eyes (it was almost completely gone it was horrible!). We are super thankful for our additional time with him. It may be brief, but hopefully it is long, but nonetheless it is more than we thought we would get. So Thank You Dr. Evinger and her wonderful staff that helped while we were there. For this we rebound to where we were before, 5 stars.

What a horrible vet. This is the second time the veterinarian, “dr” has gotten rude with us. Go somewhere else. This place has horrendous prices on every single item. You will leave with a 0$ bank account balance guaranteed. Honestly the technician was truly amazing and shout out to her. On the other hand the female vet was incredibly incompetent. She got upset with me when I asked questions and stormed out of the exam room slamming the door. This frightened my dog even more! I hate to say it but every single time we take any of our animals here we’re treated exactly the same. Save your money and don’t waste time on this truly rubbish, overpriced vet. How they have a 4 start rating is beyond me. We will never being out fur babies here ever again.

Update: Today I talked to Todd Taylor, the practice manager. He let me explain the situation and everything that happened. He apologized so many times and let me know that this was not the way the practice represents themselves. He apologized for everything that we were put through and said that we should’ve never went through it. He was very empathetic and caring and really listened to my concerns. I appreciate him and the staff and really appreciate the apology that I was given.This weekend we had to put our best friend Max down. It was a sad day. It was our first time coming here but (most of) the staff at this hospital were amazing minus the actual vet. The receptionist Julia, was super sweet and our vet tech, Amber put us at ease, she was really reassuring and compassionate during this hard time. She explained everything and eased the pain a little. The actual vet on the other hand, was rude and didn’t seem like she knew what she was talking about. She asked me “Are you sure this is what you want to do? You know age is just a number right?” VERY inappropriate thing to say to someone putting their best friend down. She then proceeded to say, “Well I guess you have your mind made up and I’m not going to change it so let me know when you’re ready.” And walked out. I gave a 3 star due to the compassion from the receptionists and Amber, the vet tech but if it weren’t for them it would be 0. I was appalled and taken a back to hear her say that.

We had to put my daughter’s Guinea pig down. They were very compassionate from the time that we walked in the door. The candle was lit letting others know a family was saying good bye, and when they saw us at the counter and my daughter was cry, they confirmed our pet’s name and took us back instead of making us sit in the waiting room. Once in a room, we were treated very well. Things were explained so my daughter knew what to expect, and they didn’t rush us, but instead allowed my to daughter to say when she was ready for the next step. They made this very painful situation as gentle as possible.

Doctor is no nonsense and tells it like it is, but also very caring. Vet techs were very nice. The head tech laid out a good sales pitch for extras that given our cats condition were a good idea. Most of all the prices for exam, medicine and treatment were so much less than expected to the point the Doctor made sure we could afford. 💯 recommended

Clearly this facility, CarePets Animal Hospital is NOT an animal hospital that can deliver emergency care. They will turn your dog away who is clearly in distress even if the pet had been seen previously and under their "care". Change your name to coincide with the lack of actual service you provide as this animal clinic will not provide your pets with emergency medical service that a reputable animal hospital does deliver.Your response is misleading as well. I was not asking for specialized emergency care, I was just asking you to see my dog who had thrown up blood, a condition you had treated this pet for before. Yet your receptionist didn't even ask how they could help, they just turned us away because we had no appointment. No triage, no inquiry as to what is wrong with my pet. Basically, go somewhere else was your actual response.Again, not an animal hospital. I certainly would not recommend your services to anyone who cares for their pet. Care-Pets doesn't even live up to their name.

My regular vet couldn't get my cat in and he was super sick. I called and they got him in the same day! They took the best of care with him! The vet even text me a few days later and checked on him to see how he was doing. Great facility!

Having a Saint bernard who has needs to help bc of her anxiety, they worked so well with her and us to give our baby the best care. I had been looking for a new vet, bc most people are scared of such large dogs, and I have 2 Saint Bernard's. Plus my other 2 furbabies. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else and am so thankful. Care pets actually cares about animals and their pet parents. The team of vet techs is beyond any I have ever seen in professionalism and in heart. The veterinarians are amazing and brought my 16 year old Sparky back from the brink. The clinic manager is the most awesome and caring guy you have ever met. So much love for the staff of heroes here. Trust them with your furkids.
