Very helpful.Nice parrot that talks.Good inventory.2 of the 5 fish I got died, but one it was kindof that fish's fault as she somehow got into the filter. Been about a week now. Another died today. 😥My goldfish's favorite one [he has a tank with fish next to his,as he gets depressed if he doesn't have neighbors and friends, he has lost many this year,and fancy guppies,especially dark blue ones reminds him of his favorite neighbor (a blue betta). Thank God we rescued a betta a few weeks ago and he is recovering well, and is also starting to be friendly or this would have really missed him up. Anyways back to topic.Shop was a tad hard to find, it is on the street so one may have to park a bit away from the actual store and walk.Owner took a bit to cone out,but that is fine as it gave me time to look and practice what I was to say.Not the most wheel chair friendly, but think it could be doable if one has assistantsnce or someone holds the door and chair is narrow.Shop reaked of tobacco smoke 🚬, so I definitely got some damage (as I am allergic).Prices on fish are great.Other products are fair.Some have a slight markup , but worth it for the convenience of getting it all done at once.Variety of different supplies.Fish seem to be bred well.Tanks are a tad dirty,but not at a dangerous level, at a healthy level.Owner is knowledgeable and seemed quite nice.

Been coming here for years, and I know she won’t accept cards because there are tons of fees that come with it, and she’s not trying to be rude about the not taking cards, since she’s told us every time, and we come prepared with cash. She does sell feeder mice and can order fancy rats! Her feeder mice are in all sizes and they are healthy and my snake loved them until he died. Then we had a feeder mouse named dinner we gave to someone with a snake that was hungry. Very willing to order animals for people who call and pay ahead, and she has dealt with how indecisive I am on choosing a pet besides reptiles, and I will be ordering a bird from here very soon as I decided on a bird. She’s always had a great attitude. The best times to come into the store depends on how much you need to get, since I believe she may have to do loads of cleaning and feeding right at close for all animals to have dinner and clean enclosures at the same time every day.

Friendly and knowledgeable! She takes care of her animals very well. We've gotten a hamster from her 1 year and 2 months ago, also got two fan-tail goldfish that are so beautiful!

The owner is very helpful. I had a few questions, and even came in to buy a water bottle for my bearded dragon. She told me I didn't need one. Instead of me wasting money she gave me great advice and sold me my crickets. She missed a sale but gained a permanent customer. Very very nice lady very clean store set up very nicely

Got my first fish and first aquarium and the woman that runs the store is so nice and helpful. She knows so much and has all the information one could possibly need! So lucky to have a woman like her running a pet center in our town!

Wife & I have taken in water samples in every week for 4 weeks & she say the water is bad & wont sell any fish, we have the prettiest tank ever. Decided to go to green tree pet center & the water is perfect all around. The lady at Scottsburg needs to give the business up & clean the place up & treat people better

The Staff is super helpful and will make sure to help all of your needs for a very affordable price! Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Keeping the pets first is always important, and I think they do a good job of doing so at Scottsburg Pet Center.

The first time I went here I came here to get a harness and she was very helpful with finding me one and letting me try it on to make sure it fit my cat securely then it came time to pay and she did not accept card and things took a turn she was rushing us out because they were closing soon but i don’t see how she gets any business in the first place and why would you rush a customer out willing to pay and she didn’t accept card so my boyfriend ran down the street where she said there was an atm and while we were waiting she said he better hurry up. Now the second experience I’ve had with this place my friend had called The other day because I had to rehome my bunny due to mental issues. It broke my heart that I had to do this but my pet deserved better than what I could provide. So I started called surrounding pet stores as soon she answered she was so rude and had a bad attitude. I was already so stressed and had been crying all day because I have to give my baby twilight away. She first started off with screaming asking why I was giving her away, asking what was wrong with her and being so rude on top of me already being in such a bad place. I understand surrendering is so hard on animals and it was hard on me too. This lady has no compassion and is straight rude. She rushes you and is not caring at all so how can she even care for all the animals. If you read any other reviews on this site you will see where she replies to ppl and is also rude to them. Saying sick animals that she sold that died are not her fault. Maybe if you took the time to care of them they would actually make it. Definitely needs to work on her people skills and I’m not a people person either but I can still be kind to others and have decent respect because you never know what’s going on in another persons life. 0 stars if I could.

Older lady who owns the store is pretty rude. Don't accept cards and don't have any info about that until you get to the counter to pay and she rudely tells you about it. So much for shopping local

Don't shop at this pet store! I don't like this pet store because they don't know what they are talking about. The lady there told me that certain fish would go good together. Well, a day later I looked in the tank and most of my fish were dead. Don't shop at this pet store.Also, the people in charge there will try to tell you whatever to get more money out of you. They upsell like crazy. Don't shop here! Go elsewhere.

Then complains about the kind of container. Why don't they have there own containers when they sell them?? Oh well its a decent place. Guess I gotta be a local to be liked. It is what it is

Have been going to her store for the last 10 years, always great service, very friendly.For the reviews I'm seeing saying she is rude and the store is dingey. 1. She is always nice to us, the only reason she would have to be rude to someone is if you were rude to her, you mistreated an animal, or just seemed like a crappy person. 2. The store is decades old and has dirty animals going through it constantly it would be impossible to get it up to "clean" standards. She would have to take everything out of the store, repaint it, and replace the flooring. Which would be near impossible considering she likely has nowhere she could move all those animals during the renovation.

The fact that the star rating between the 1 and 4 are almost equal speaks volumes. Twice I've been here and twice I've had terrible service. The first time I had asked if I could pet a puppy and she told me that I couldn't touch unless I was going to buy it. Seems like a shady thing to say to a customer. Especially when dealing with a live animal. Second time which was yesterday, I went in for some crickets and tried to use my card. She told me she wouldn't accept it and to go scrounging for change in my car.......this is place has the worst customer service I've ever experienced while dealing with pets or pet supplies. The owner is rude and shouldn't be in business with that attitude towards paying customers.

Unfortunately the only thing I can comment on is false advertising!! Not open 24 hrs!! I drove half an hour to get much needed supplies for a new saltwater tank setup (110 gal )and they were closed at 5:30 pm on a Wednesday. Off to Clarksville I go!

Great selection, friendly owner, only complaint is the puppies she sells. Concerned of the origins as I know there is a puppy mill around Scottsburg who sells 4 different breeds. Otherwise I love this place.

Did not like this girls attitude one bit, she tried telling me false information about an animal she doesn't even sell. If I were inexperienced in owning a reptile and took her advice I would have unhealthy or probably even dead animals.

Open 6 hours today, yet I get there and there's a sign saying out for lunch. Back in 30 minutes. Wait there almost 40 minutes and no one shows up. Another guy showed up and said he was there almost 20 minutes before I was. How do you stay in business when you close shop for an hour on a weekend, when you're only open 6 hours anyways.

Well I went to go there today, normally go to clarksville for pet supply needs. Said they would be back by 1 and it was 1:20 and they still weren't there. I'm handicapped and couldnt wait any longer so decided to leave. Pretty disappointed, I like to support local businesses.

Every single animal I've gotten from this pet store has died in a very short time frame. I bought a guinea pig which turns out wasn't fully weened & therefore it didn't make it. I also bought some goldfish that ended up having Ich, which is a freshwater fish disease that contaminated & killed every fish I had! Don't ever buy a pet from this pet store cause I wldnt even trust the feeder fish.
