I take my firearms in here to be bore sighted before going and doing the fine tuning at the range. The gun counter is very knowledgeable and knows what they're doing and always pleasant to talk to and with. As far as the hardware side of things the company I work for actually has a charge account there for things we may need that we do not have time to wait on and they for the most part always have what we need and greet us with a smile and are great help on finding whatever we need.

I have bought 2 used pieces of lawn equipment, a stihl weedeater and an echo hedge trimmer. Both gas powered and both running like a champ! I can't say anything bad about the store.

The girls at the front check out desk were so friendly and helpful!I had to get a new house key made and twice I drove home and neither key worked. They refunded me for both keys and then gave me the 3rd for free, which finally worked. So grateful for the wonderful customer service here!

The employees seem to be real helpful but for some reason I can't shake the feeling that a lot of them seem to be on edge or if you ask me, they seem very humdrum or almost depressed. I can't tell you one time I have ever gotten a smile out of any of the many employees. Hope someday that changes for them because the vibes I get are palpable! It could very well be a management style that has them ruffled.

Had my vehicle key snap in half. Luckily, the key wasn't chipped, so I took it here. I never got the name of the employee who cut the new key, but by using the two broken halves, he was able to reproduce the key in like 4 minutes. Key works with no issues on ignition, door locks and trunk lock. And extremely cheap, only a few bucks for the key.Would recommend for anyone needing a quick replacement key cut.

A complete eyesore to Scottsburg. They have stuff sitting all around the store including at old houses behind and next to the store plus at the old KFC on the corner and the old computer store across the street. A complete mess, a complete eyesore that should make the owners and the city ashamed. Not sure how they have got away with it for all these years but it definitely needs to be cleaned up. Just look at the pictures I took of it today (6-29-2021). BTW, this town needs a Home Depot or Lowes so shoppers have a real hardware store to shop at.

A good neighborhood hardware store. From fishing hooks to curtain rods this place has it. Maybe not well organized but plenty of helpful sales folks to assist you find anything. Update 4/16/24 - have to give it 5 stars, may not be perfectly organized but they will take time to help you find what you need. Amazing selection of everything for the home and garage

Great locally owned place to get all your hardware needs! Prices are usually a bit higher compared to big box stores but the convenience and fact that we are supporting locally is enough to make the slight cost difference worth it. Always a friendly face willing to help you when you walk in the door and the fresh popcorn is back as well.

They hire these kids that don't know 1 end of the bolt from the other.Witch wouldn't be so bad if only they were to take the time and train them it's like the 1s that have been there for years are afraid of the younger ones catching on to quickly and move up a little bit closer to their spot if they would learn to work together those kids are there for the heavy lifting so you old farts ain't crying about your back so teach them what is what

IMO, I was treated with a very high level of disrespect because I tried to make a purchase. I'll be reporting this business. I felt like being a lady automatically meant I shouldn't be there. They don't seem 2A friendly either, IMO.

Live in KY. but we like Scottsburg and enjoy stopping here. We are very impressed with how helpful everyone at Scotts is. We've bought a porch swing, planters, paint and the other day I bought hard to find 38 cal. ammo. Highly recommend this store!

Expensive but convenient. Great to see young HS aged guys and gals working. Need to be tought the value of customer service and courtesy. Not "hey bud can I help you!" A smile and sir/mam go a very long way even if they ate serving a 10 year old. A customer's hard earned $$ should be respected.

Love this little store. Have great selection of hard to find things. The floor staff are very friendly and helpful when entering the store. The cashiers could be more customer friendly though. Never a smile or hi. The store needs a good cleaning. Products are dusty and dirty. Alot of dings on products and clothes racks have a bunch of dusty or dirty clothes. The floor staff I think need to so some dusting and cleaning in between waiting on customers. You see them standing around alot. Just my honest opinion.

I highly recommend Scotts! I called to price a mower and spoke with Scott himself. His knowledge and customer service was impeccable, so the next day I drove from 2 counties away to purchase my mower. When I arrived they were very busy but he didn't hesitate to make me and my daughter feel welcomed and appreciated. I'm so very happy with the mower that I purchased and I will continue to give Scotts my business. I've recommended him to family and friends because that's how him and his staff will treat you when you walk through the door.

For a small town hardware store they have an excellent stock. They are always friendly. It is a shame that one person felt threatened by the staff. I am the opposite, I prefer not spending a lot of time looking for stuff. The only reason I put them 4 stars instead of 5 is that they do not have the buying power of big box stores so some common items are "a little" pricey. However not unreasonable. Definitely their staff is more knowledgeable.
