3/12: Third time with a bad experience with the SAME EXACT EMPLOYEE!!!!I literally tried to find another line to go through and got stuck with the young man named Derek again. He doesn't speak at all and looks at you with a look of total disgust as he rings up your groceries. I tried to make small talk because I was so uncomfortable with the way he was treating me, and he was extremely dismissive and rude. No, "Did you find everything" or "Have a nice day," NOTHING! I WILL NOT BE BACK, and i have reported the issue to corporate. You've lost $500 a month from me! I already tried to address it with the manager, and here we are again. A MONTH LATER!!! Other cashiers are rude also. Some of the ladies in the morning need customer service training as well! It's not hard to ask your customer if they found everything or even just smile!!! No one wants to feel negativity from just going to the grocery store.

I don't know this store. I shop at the Jay-C in Salem and I have been to Jay-C stores in Brownstown, Sellersburg, and Seymour, but I have never been to the Jay-C store in Scottsburg. I tried to pick the Salem Jay-C for the Kroger app, but it would not let me, but I never mentioned the Scottsburg Jay-C.

Went to store to purchase tags for garbage pickup. Customer service had a line so I left and made my purchases. Stood in line for 15 minutes to pay and returned to customer service. Stood at customer service for another 15 minutes. No one there. Sign said open until 9 pm. This was between 6:10 and 6:25 pm. On leaving, I was told the customers in line to pay just kept coming so customer service was not staffed. Yet the clerks had time to laugh and giggle and talk to friends. Change the sign to customer service "sometimes open.". Dreadfully bad customer service. Could at least have informed me they couldn't serve me. The clerks were obviously talking about me standing there. Don't trade there very often. It will be a long time before I go back.

This place, at first, seems expensive. Upon closer inspection, you'll see that between constant discounting sales, digital coupons, "with card" pricing, and jay c plus membership, you'll find extraordinary value. Last tear from January 1, to December 31, I saved well north of 1650, PLUS fuel discounts!!! All told, not only is there amazing sales, and digital savings, their products are much higher quality than all of that mess sold at other local grocery stores. Also, the clientele are kinder, socially elevated, and most importantly, the staff from checkers to department workers to baggers ALL are clean, well kept, friendly, and eager to really help. EVEN if it's NOT their department! Which, sorry, not sorry, walmart, but Jay c has NO competition with the other two stores in scottsburg. It's worth the time and trouble to create an account, clip the coupons, begin to save thousands of dollars EVERY year on food AND gas! In this INSANE economy, it's the ONLY store looking out for their customers!! ALWAYS clean,ALWAYS friendly, ALWAYS on point with YOUR family's budget in mind! Kudos Jay C Kudos! Thanks for thinking of your customers and being the best all across the board!

sed to love this place was always more of the hometown store didn't they used to sponser a little league team thought it was kinda sticking it to the man but now the close 5minutes early and act rude to everyone who tries walking in the door, as in cracking "jokes" like"Can't you people tell time why yes I can my cellular device getting data from the same satellite as yours says it's still 5min until close the timing wouldn't bother me it was their attitude

If you ever need a sandwich tray you don't want to get it at Jay C in Scottsburg Indiana. My 83 year old momma ordered one for Christmas today at her house. And it was the saddest tray of food I have ever seen. We gave $40.00 for a tray that didn't have $10.00 worth of food. Never again we always got them at Walmart and they were always awesome.

They had remodeled the store. I had only gone in to pick up a few things yesterday. But I ended up buying more than I thought. There were things on Sale that I was able to purchase using my Plus Card. I ended up saving almost $13.00. I bought meat from the Deli and some Frozen Goods. The Cashier was very friendly.

Called meat department to ask about turkey breast on sale. None in case on Wednesday. Ask if any today. Yeah, but their not the brand listed in the flyer. I ask if they were still the same price. She didn't know and didn't care to check. I have to waste money on gas to check it out.

It is always easy to find what you went into the Store to purchase. If you need help THERE is always someone to ask for Directions to find your items. They are very helpful and Checking Out usually is quick. They generally have several ailes open so it is easy in and out . I have shopped there a lot. I like earning Fuel Points and the Savings I get from the Coupons they send me. So yes this is one of my favorite places to Shop. Thanks. ALICE

I love that they always have decent sales and not just on items they need to get rid of. Their meat selection always tastes better than other major retailers and their produce always looks fresh and well tended. The staff is never rude and the store/parking lot are kept very clean.

Horrible experience every time I come here to the deli no matter how early I come they always tell me that they are closed. It was 6 o’clock the other night and many times before it is now 7 o’clock and they’re refusing to serve me saying that they are already closed rude employees in the deli and customer service is awful!

I don't go there much and it's only because my little girl likes walmart better lol I have never had anyone be rude to me though. They have always been nice and helping. I don't have a bad word to say about them and there meet and all their other stuff is very good and good prices. I personally love the store but my husband and daughter like walmart lol

Friendly helpful staff. Better, healthier choices. The Kroger tuna, bacon and deli chicken is the best in our County along with great service with a smile. Hometown selection out weighs Walmart 3 to one.

Was disappointed today when I couldn't stack my digital and vendor coupons. I had done it a few weeks ago but now something has been updated and stopped most of them from working. The cashier was nice about having to unring everything.

As a former employee I can verify that this JC branch has roaches living in the stock area and probably other places. They have mold in multiple places around the store which they never attempted to fix in the multiple years I worked there, they simply painted over it repeatedly. Their overpowering respect dissolves as soon. As they leave the main floor as I was never disrespected more at a job than when I worked here.

Their food is pretty good competition to walmart in town and they have amazing sales so long as you have a jc card. I always get my cakes made here because they have the best bakers. the cakes are always moist and fresh. The last few cakes we had at walmart were freezer dried and they sold them to us. (They were also lopsided) but not at j.c. they didn't amazing birthday cakes and try to help you out the best way possible. The staff is also friendly .
