I scheduled a groom for my new 3lb yorkie, in hopes I could correct a horrible hair cut from a previous owner. Sam was amazing. She took time to understand what I wanted and also took special care due to my dog being so tiny. The salon was quiet and super friendly.A great experience!

We recently moved to the area and have been looking for a new groomer. I came across Smoochie Pooch on a google search and decided to give them a try and I’m so glad I did! Samantha was Bruiser’s stylist and she did a great job and was very nice. This will definitely be our new grooming salon for our boys Jac and Bruiser. Oh! And they loved the treats I bought there 🐶

I am a forever customer here! My fur baby was taken care of by Sydne and she was awesome! She greeted us and asked me how did I want her groomed and she did exactly what was discussed. My fur baby smelled amazing and her cut is super clean. It pays for quality I made sure I scheduled our next grooming! She was even able to brush her teeth with no problem so now she doesn’t have bad breath!!!

My pup and I just recently relocated back to the region and I'm so happy we stumbled on Smoochie Pooch Schererville! After a bit of confusion around his grooming schedule, my dude was starting to mat and with the recent cold snap, I felt like the worst owner bringing him to get groomed. But they were so amazing and saved as much of his coat as they could, I know that had to have taken some time and patience so thank you so much! The whole staff is warm and welcoming and made our first experience fantastic from scheduling to pick up! We can't wait to come back next month!

I have been to the place more than 3 times and have never ever had such a horrible experience. Look at the photos of my dog to prove it. Look at her face and ears. The groomer “Sydne F.” called me 20 minutes into grooming and stated “I am putting up your dog up and you need to come get her now”Asked to speak with a Manager and she said there was not one available and I l could talk with someone when I picked up my dog. I informed her, no - someone needs to contact me back and asked how much of the service had been completed. She would not tell me and not confirm a call back.When I got back to pick up my dog they charged me $30 and refused to show me the dog so that I could see her condition before I made partial payment. I asked what was the full charge, they said $60. I informed Sydne she would need to show me what had been done that warranted them charging me at all for incomplete services. I even said, you can show me thru the glass viewing window. She refused until the Receptionist intervened and said we can show you the dog.The groomer is not well trained, experienced or suitable to work on dogs or with customers.The dog is a Maltese.Again, it’s not what you say, it’s how you say it.

I have been to this Smoochie Pooch location about 3 times. Two of the times, we had Jillian as a groomer. My dog is afraid of baths, due to a bad experience at the vet. Jillian is so amazing with him - he always comes out looking amazing and he comes out wagging his tail. You'd think I dropped him off at daycare or at Grandma's house! Jillian also makes sure to ask how I'd like our dog trimmed. She takes great care to listen to exactly what I want. She also reports back to me if she ever finds a bump or any red spots under his fur.Highly recommend - I cannot argue with a clean and HAPPY dog!

I highly recommend Smoochie Pooch for your pet's grooming and bathing needs. We took our dog to Smoochie Pooch this morning for bathing, ear cleaning and nail grinding. She’s the first groomer I’ve ever trusted since I’ve had some bad experiences with groomers! Even banjo loves her and that’s rare to say a dog likes going to the groomer! We took our German Shepherd in for a bath and deshedding today and I am so impressed! We have taken her to multiple different groomers and I have never seen her so shiny before! When I tell you, I could endlessly brush this dog and continue to get massive clumps of hair from her, I mean it deep down to my core. She has close to NO hair coming off of her and she looks so beautiful. I called in and complimented the stylist who took care of her today and immediately scheduled another visit in 8 weeks with Sam. Look no further, friends with fur babes, this is the place!

Had an absolute great experience taking my little Havanese pup, Annie, to this location for the first time! Our groomer was Larry and I would highly recommend him to everyone. He is knowledgeable, talented, and Annie left very happy. We bought some toys and treats from the store as well that she loved. We will definitely be long-term customers. Bonus: the whole staff is very friendly :)

This place is amazing all together. They are very knowledgeable about their products they sell in store. Also our youngest but biggest dog was shedding ridiculously so we brought her to get groomed with a deshedding she came out looking all clean and happy. She feels clean and smells so clean and isn’t shedding as much as she was. Alittle hair here and there but with time and proper maintenance she will be all good. We also brought in our senior smaller dog for a gland extraction and honestly the best and fastest service. We absolutely love this place and will continue coming back. Plus the dogs aren’t traumatized. Thank you all for your assistance and services.

I was very nervous to have my labradoodle groomed. I did not want him shaved or styled. I just wanted to keep the floof!!!! Sam did a great job on Luigi. He came home smelling good and rockin his new look. The girl setting the appt was great at answering my questions both on the phone and at drop off. I already set up his next appt!!

Taylor L. at the Schererville Location is hands down the best pet stylist I have ever had. Any Golden Doodle owner knows how hard it is to find a groomer who just “gets it”. Taylor is that person. She’s got such natural skill that would be very difficult to teach. Besides her being an exceptional pet stylist who gives meticulous attention to every single detail, she exudes above and beyond customer service. Not to mention she handles my pup with the love and care as if he was her own. Smoochie Pooch is very lucky to have such a phenomenal pet stylist such as Taylor. I am blessed to have found her! First time with Taylor, who is awesome. She was happy to take my input even after she was done with the groom and took my giant schnauzer back to make the requested changes.Not 5 stars only because of the following... The company could use some more friendly hours for those of us who would have to take a day off of work to get the dog groomed. (Last appointment at 3pm, M-F only, no weekend hours). As a teacher, I can only bring my dog in during the summer.

This was my dogs first visit to the groomers, so naturally I was a little nervous for him. I am SO happy I chose Smoochie Pooch. We went to the Schererville location and Larry was our groomer. Larry was so sweet with my dog and so knowledgeable on the type of grooming my dog needed for his type of fur. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone!
