We have 2 little kids and this is the most perfect resort ever. Tons of things for kids to do and close to holiday world. We will be back every year with friends. My family had a blast.Rooms: Cottages are spacious and well designed. Nothing crazy but clean and perfect for the family.Nearby activities: Holiday world is amazing!!

Traveling with friends and were looking for lodging close to the solar eclipse and came across Santa's cottages. These exceeded our expectations! The cabins are nicely appointed, well stocked kitchens and as you might expect, Christmas decorated, but not over the top. The cabins overlook the "lake" and have covered back porch with swing, table, grill and firepit. It was very serene.The place is clean, modern, and Brenda and her family were well organized. As adults, we enjoyed the cabin and lake setting. This would be fantastic for young families. We watched children riding the train, feeding the fish from the dock playing on the playground and in the yard. The pool was not yet open for the season, but looked very nice. I plan to take my grandkids there for a little get-away vacation!

My wife and I have been planning a trip to Santa Claus, Indiana for years and we finally were able to make the trip from Pennsylvania! Making the decision to stay at Santa's Cottage was a Winner! This location totally made our trip and we highly recommend this place for anyone planning a trip. Whether you are young or old this is the place to stay!Rooms: The cottages are very well laid out and have all the amenities of home.

These cottages were beautiful. All themed with their name. We stayed in Unit 19 which was named Silver Bells and it was so clean and beautiful inside. Pond was steps outside the back porch. Fully stocked. Caught several fish. We fed the fish and turtles dog food that the staff provided. They had the albino catfish and that was super neat they came on top water to eat the dog food.Will definitely go back when we go back to Holiday World it was so nice.The staff was so friendly and cheerful.The pool was a 4 minute walk if that.Rooms: Super clean and comfortable beds.Nearby activities: 7 minutes from Holiday WorldWalkability: Can walk to each pond and the pool.

Santa's Cottages is a hidden gem in Santa Claus, Indiana. The owners have taken great care to ensure a relaxing vacation for all. Each cottage is equipped with all the comforts of home including AC for those hot summer days, fully-stocked kitchen, satellite tv, and full linens available for small fee (or you can bring your own). The cottages are spotless and beds super comfortable (even the Murphy bed!)Each cottage also has a fire pit and charcoal grill for use. Patio furniture, porch swings and even a few hammocks at certain cottages allow for serious relaxation! There is also a pool and playground to enjoy.Pat and Brenda do an amazing job, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We loved the Christmas theme inside our cottages, and the fishing right from our back door. We are already planning our next stay!Do yourself a favor and book well in advance. Enjoy this rare treat with your family!Rooms: Rooms are clean and provide very comfortable sleeping.Nearby activities: Holiday World is 2 miles away.Walkability: The grounds are very walkable and pedestrian-friendly.

Super clean country cabin decorated in Christmas colors. We caught over 50 fish in our pond which was less than 20 feet from our patio porch. Each pond has a lighted fountain and there are several ponds on the property. It also had a swimming pool.There's a small train ride around the property for kids, a well-built fire pit and grill.This cabin was a bit expensive. We paid about $700 for a 2-night stay for 6 people.We had 2 day Holiday world tickets and wanted a local place to stay.This place is gorgeous. I highly recommend it. The management was amazing too.Rooms: Rooms were clean and well maintained. Decorated in Christmas colors but tasteful enough to work all year around.The living room had 2 large, thick, leather covered day beds. The kitchen was very handy and was stocked with almost everything you would need. NOTE: No dishwasher.The bathrooms were squeaky clean and well decorated.We stayed in the White Christmas cabin. It had 2 bedrooms. One with a master bath and a king bed. The second with 2 double beds. There was also a central bathroom, also very clean and well decorated.Over all I was very impressed with this establishment and will recommend it to everyone.Nearby activities: Holiday World was 2 miles away. A great place to take kids but Santa has gotten greedy and charges full adult prices for the kids now.Safety: Most traffic inside the property was foot traffic.Walkability: Jog or walk the property in a safe environment.Noteworthy details: Train ride around property for children. Stocked ponds, we caught dozens of fish. Fountains in the ponds all around the property. Quiet nighttime ambience with a gorgeous country setting. Walking paths and sidewalks everywhere even around the ponds.

This was my 4th visit. Fantastic place, family owned, family operated. They are very friendly and accommodating. Cottages and grounds are clean. Fishing ponds are fun for kids of all ages. Poles are available for rent and bait worms are HUGE! Great playground and a large group pavillon is available. Last year I broke a glass and reported it at checkout. I expected to pay for it, but my offer of money was declined. NOTE: Many of the cottages are already booked for next year. BOOK NOW!!!Nearby activities: Holiday World is just down the road. Lincoln family homestead, museum and Lincoln State Park are 5 minutes away. Lots to see and do for people of all ages.

This place is very nice. I have issue’s sleeping away from my own home and was in shock i actually got some sleep here. Beds are very comfy. Cottage was extremely clean. Even the outside patio and driveway was spotless. I would say only negatives are wifi is sometimes spotty and cell service is not good at all. I couldn’t make any phone calls within the cottage area at all. They all dropped. Had to drive out to the main road in order to make a call, which wouldn’t be ideal if an emergency arose. Also you pretty much cannot sleep in because the shades they use on the windows let in a lot of light. They are nice looking, but doesn’t help if you’ve had a long night and want to sleep in past 6am. Staff is friendly and helpful. Office has all you need to fish in the lake, poles all ready to go, worms. Nice that they give you one free bucket of food to feed the fish. If you wish to order food and cannot make phone calls like I couldn’t, there is a website dasher that is food delivery and you can place an order online. Currently there are only 2 restaurants on there that deliver here though. Pool and small splash area were nice. Small arcade too with maybe 6 games or so. Cash only in the arcade but there is a change machine. Two playground areas right by each other. They have a mini zipline thing for ages maybe 6-11. If you have a kiddo like me who really wants to try ropes courses but is still a tad scared, this is perfect practice! They sell holiday world tickets for a little less than you can get them on the HW website itself. For those that complained about the fly infestation, they are everywhere in this town… it’s not a problem at just the cottages. We were bothered by them everywhere we went, even holiday world. Town probably needs to invest overall in spraying. Overall i’d say this is the best lodging i’ve ever stayed in while on a vacation. You won’t regret your stay!

We stayed for a week at Santa's cottages to visit family in the area. This was our first time staying at the cottage. Overall, we left extremely satisfied with the service, cleanliness, and accomodations that were provided to us for our week long stay. The cabins provided us everything we needed for our stay, except for paying an additional fee for linens and towels. I think those should be included. There was plenty of additional things to do on site that allowed us to relax at the cabin on days we needed a break from traveling around and kept our kids fully entertained and happy. The only downside to the area is, apart from Holiday World, there isn't much to do and there aren't very many restaurants in the area to select from. We highly recommend staying here if you haven't been before. We look forward to returning ourselves and want to thank all the staff for being so welcoming to our family.Rooms: The one bedroom, one bathroom cabin was very cozy and able to sleep our family of five comfortably. There was a Murphy bed and pull out sofa in the living room for additional sleeping space.Nearby activities: There was not very much to do apart from Holiday World. To visit other sights nearby or fun things for kids and families, expect to drive an hour if not more.Safety: Very safe and quiet neighborhood.

The Silver Bell was a perfect place to meet up with my BFF and our children & teens to go to Holiday World/Splashin' Safari together (we have a total of 7 kids ranging from 6-19). We all had a great time because there is something for everyone. The pool, park, and a small lake were close to our cabin and very nice and clean. Santa Cottages are very clean & the people that works there are nice & friendly. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who might want a vacation. Each cottage have grill & playground for the children basketball court & a swimming pool. They also have two nice lakes were you can fish. Great place for a vacation. I loved it!!!

Update 2021: We just returned from our second trip here (last visit in 2016 I think) while visiting Holiday World. Our group rented a total of 5 cabins. We had a great time! Catch and release ponds and the pool were a big hit. We just wish the pool hours were a little later since evening hours are the best swim time when it’s so hot! Our beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room for hanging out together between cabins plus lots of sleeping space per cabin.This place is fantastic. We stayed here in one of their 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom cottages. Our family of five (with three children) and 4 other adult relatives stayed here. The customer service is amazing! The staff is friendly and they work a lot on the "honor policy." They provided dishes in the cottage, have shampoo dispensers in the shower, gave us free food for the fish/ducks, and so many more little perks. We have already talked about when we will go back!

This a great place for a family getaway. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a one bedroom duplex that was very clean and up to date. The kitchen had a 4 burner electric stove and oven, microwave, coffee marker, and refrigerator. It was well stocked with dishes, glassware, cooking utensils, and pots & pans. The bedroom had a comfortable king bed and the living room had a full size Murphy bed and futon that was get for our kids. Outside we had a nice cover patio with a table and chairs. We were right on one of the fishing ponds that was really nice. The grounds of the property was well kept. The elf trail was nice for a leisure walk. The kid really enjoy the park and the swimming pool. We would definitely love to come back and stay here again.

Was just as described. Perfect place to drop in and relax for a few days. Nice and clean and the staff at the front were friendly. The kids had a as much fun there as they did over at HW. Looking forward to my next stay with them. If I only known how nice it was, I would’ve have booked a longer stay and brought more food.Thanks for great get away.

We had a great time being hosted for a large family reunion! The cottages are clean and very nice, with Central AC. The kitchens have ovens/microwaves full size fridge, dishes. We did the 2 bedroom/2 bath for 6 people and it worked well! The living room has 2 futons, decor is Christmas themed, and WiFi is good. Cell reception was iffy by the playground, otherwise fine. The playground (really nice!) and pool are well kept up and I couldn’t get my 3 year old to leave the splash pad. They also have a cute little Christmas tram that gives a little tour of the grounds. Probably not exciting as an adult, but kids loved the train!The cabins (at least the 2 bedroom) have ample living space so even when we got rained in one night, we weren’t cramped! Would recommend

Very nice! Very well kept! You can look around and tell that the owners love this place and are very proud of it! The cottage that we stayed in was beautiful! We thoroughly enjoyed it. I wish they give you more linens and pillows. I understand that they have to launder them, etc. However, when we go back i will take extra pillows.

Great relaxing place to stay! This place was really clean and super convenient getting to holiday world. The outdoor play area is fantastic for kids. Only complaints is that the refrigerator kinda stank like fish and the Wi-Fi wouldn’t connect for us. Also be careful with little kids in the main office/gift shop. They have glass shelves with sharp corners, our toddler bumped his head into the corner and bawled. Might need to install something rubber on the edges. Other than that it was a fantastic place to stay!

Great stay! We had a clean cottage with lights and a/c on! Feeding the fish was entertaining with the kids! This was our 2nd time staying here and will definitely come back next year! Really nice playground also!

Last weekend was our second visit in the last month. I can't say enough about what a fantastic place Santa's Cottages are. The owners are wonderful and very accommodating. The cabins are immaculate. Prior to finding Santa's Cottages we always stayed at KOA's, which are nice, but these Cottages are much nicer and priced better. No matter the cottage you choose there is a lake view. I highly recommend spending a couple of nights (or entire week) at least once. You will go back.

She hung up on me when I called to ask question about the pool in a polite manner. Would not compromise on last minute unsold cottage. Left cottage unsold instead.

Cool little community. Fun for kids. The train they have go around the area is a good little distraction for little ones.We didn't venture far from our cottage outside of the train ride, but all the little ponds seemed nice. The playground also looked good.

Had a wonderful stay at the cottages while visiting Holiday World. They were clean and spacious, and had everything we needed! They even provided huge bottles of shampoo & body wash, which was great...because my husband forgot his. We were right next to the pool, which was great for my son.There's a grocery store right up the street and we have our own grill on the patio if we wanted to do our own cooking, as well as a well-maintained fire pit. My son's favorite part about the cabin was the enormous hammock in the yard. I could barely get him to leave it the first night. I'm a little shocked at seeing people complaining about the flies. Yes, they're annoying, but it didn't ruin our stay one bit. If there had been roaches or a raccoon, that would be a different story. The WiFi connection was a huge plus for my son, as he loves his electronics.The office staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be booking here again on our next trip! The only thing I would like to see is maybe more hangers in the bedroom & bathroom, and the fact that both TVs have to be on the same channel didn't allow my son and my husband & I to watch two different shows. Other than that, I have absolutely zero negative things to stay about Santa's Cottages!

Wanted to get away for a short weekend trip with the family. I’m a huge Christmas person so decided to look into Santa Claus Indiana. After some searching, came about Santa’s Cottages and made the reservation based on reviews and pictures. I was not disappointed! We stayed in the Candy Cane cabin. The area was gorgeous, clean, and the owners were so helpful with everything we needed to make our stay great. They had hammocks, fire pits, fishing, and grills available for each cabin as well as a patio set, laundry facilities, arcade, outdoor pool, and other amenities. We got a cabin that was just big enough for us 6 but will get a bigger one next time just because. This will surely be in my top 5 areas to visit when Family comes over or if I want to take another short vacation. I highly recommend it.

I can't say enough good things about this little gem. We only stayed one night but wished it had been longer. It's very close to holiday world so it's convenient if that's why you're in Santa Claus Indiana. We stayed in the silent night cottage. It was clean, well set up, affordable, and a wonderful part of our vacation. They've got fishing ponds (catch and release), playgrounds, a pool with splash pad, laundry room on site, outdoor grills and fire pits, and friendly staff. We will definitely be return customers!

Absolutely loved this place. Boyfriend & I are Christmas fanatics - we keep our Christmas decorations up all year if that gives you an idea...POSITIVES:This place had so many amazing features -1. The cottages were VERY reasonably priced.2. You are able to get bundles of wood to have a fire, and each cottage gets its own fire pit.3. They have a laundromat.4. In your cottage, it is gorgeous - Christmas Cabin like feel through and through.5. They give you fish food to feed the fish in the lake... loved that as part of my routine in the mornings.6. LOTS. OF. SPACE. Huge deck, lots of areas to sleep, sit, move around in. Nicely sized bathroom, bed, kitchen space.7. THEY THOUGHT OF EVERYTHING!! 😊 They have a knife set, coffee maker, full sink, breakfast bar with stools, miscellaneous kitchen utensils, FULL SIZED fridge and freezer, a STOVE TOP with 2 burners, a grill outside.. dish soap and NEW wrapped sponge every time. Towels on towels (even kitchen rags/towels), a candle, a packet with ALL the nearby Christmas attractions (food, fun, shopping etc). A binder for any questions you may have, and so on.8.Water pressure was AMAZING in the shower and sinks.9. Location - you are close to all the attractions they list which makes traveling very convenient.10. Lots of storage space for luggage, cabinets for food brought, etc.11. You get your own parking slab, which was a huge plus for us! No walking, right next to the sidewalk leading to our front door.NEGATIVES:1. The shower had no shelves to put toiletries on (if you bring your own things) - they do have a shampoo and body wash dispenser in there, but I don't usually like using hotel style products, but my boyfriend was fine with it.2. Spiders and spider webs everywhere - I understand the cabin lifestyle, but clearing out webs and spiders would just help make the place feel a bit more comfortable. Thankfully, I had my boyfriend kill all of them and wipe the spiderwebs off. 😂

Second time here and we love it! Family-run and they give a personal touch and great service. Beyond the usual “air bnb” amenities, we love sitting around the fire watching a lighted fountain in the pond right off our back patio on comfortable chairs. Highly recommended.
