The front of the store is a great place to shop. All employees are friendly and always willing to help. As far as the pharmacy, the techs I had never had trouble until the last go around. They weren't getting my medicine in. It is something I have to have. After a week of not getting it, I went in and asked the tech what I was supposed to do. She told me to go to Walmart or Walgreens. Which both places have this medicine so there is no shortage of it! I did have the prescription transferred to another pharmacy but my insurance wouldn't cover it there so I went back to CVS and talked to a different tech. She pretty much scolded me and said they can't order my medicine without a prescription. Well the day before they told me to go to another pharmacy and then I get scolded for taking my prescription to the other place! They have done this to several people that I know. My daughter quit going there because they couldn't get her diabetic medicine in but Walmart doesn't have a problem getting it. My friend's blood pressure medicine was the same. They couldn't get it in and told him to take it to Walmart and Walmart had it! So this is not a shortage of medicine!

My mom just came here to pick up her pain medication. She has a variety of chronic illnesses. Today, she came to the CVS like she does every month and was met with nothing but arrogance and hostility. Not only did the pharmacist refuse to treat her like a person, he loudly called her a drug addict in-front of store filled with people. She was mortified. After she called her doctor to push the prescription through, he tried to lie and say that she was overreacting (even after multiple people corroborated her story). Do better. Being kind is free.

0 stars. The worst CVS pharmacy I have ever dealt with. I was in a horrible car accident in September and had 3 bones in my foot broke in 7 different places and 2 arteries severed. I've had 3 surgeries since then and this pharmacy has made getting my pain medicine a complete NIGHTMARE. They leave me on hold for 30 minutes and when I call and talk to the front store they tell me there's 4 pharmacy techs right now in the pharmacy but still won't answer the phone. When I called last week asking if my medicine was in yet one of the pharm techs told me they hydro 5s I'm prescribed are killing people like I'm taking them to get high. Yep lady I really conned my doctor into giving me the lowest milligram possible to help with the pain I'm having from these 12 screws in my foot.

Would give 0 stars if possible why on earth do they close the pharmacy at 5 on Saturday, prolly because they are incompetent and work as little as humanly possible and it shows!!! Will be getting a different pharmacy asap!

Best pharmacy in town. I would imagine the poor ratings are easily explained and likely due to current medication shortages.I use this pharmacy every month and very rarely experience any problems at all.

This pharmacy has very eye opening reviews and should be avoided if possible. When a 30 day prescription was filled 30 days ago, it’s absolutely absurd to refuse to refill the prescription until the next day. This prevents a working patient from taking their medication until after they get off work.This policy is contrary to my doctors policy, it’s contrary to my insurance companies policy, and it’s contrary to the policy of EVERY other policy. That’s CVS. Never again.

Pharmacy is very rude on several occasions. Not very friendly, no smiles, very short with their answers. When asked a question they act as though you are burdening them. Tell them you’ll wait for your prescription to be filled and they will always tell you the same answer “ it’ll be about a 20 minute wait “ weather they have any other customers or not! I’ve had them have me wait 20 minutes with no other customers waiting, to fill my prescription that is already packaged, no pills to count!🙄

If could give this pharmacy 0 stars I would. Had to wait 30 hours for my prescription to be filled. Had a problem getting my prescriptions filled about a year ago and stared going to another pharmacy where they would have them done with in 30 min. "Right aid" now "walgreens" I couldn't make it to my pharmacy the other day so I had them send it to CVS thinking I could get it there since they are open later and it had been about a year since my last transaction with them, surely they had fixed their problem of slacking on the job. Not at all it was worse than ever. they didn't have it ready that day. So had to wait for the fallowing day. I called them 6 hours before I arrived the next day and was told they where working on it and it be ready in 20 min. 6 hours after that call it was still not ready and had to wait another 30 min. Horrible service.

CVS’s refill policy is insane. I filled my prescription 30 days ago and work in Louisville, leaving before CVS opens. A pharmacy tech named Rebecca was very rude and said my insurance wouldn’t refill my Rx until tomorrow even though I ran out today. I called Humana and this was a lie, and they said I could have refilled my medication yesterday. I called CVS back and was told it’s CVS’s policy not to refill a 30 day Rx until 31 days.I’m glad no other pharmacy in Salem has the same “policy”.

Medicine was ordered before 10AM....arrived at the store at 3:00pm. Waited in line at the Pharmacy Drive Thru for HALF AN HOUR and my medicine was still not finished! The lady working said I would have to come back in 30 minutes or so. The drive thru should not take that long and my medicine should have been ready. They need to be more considerate of peoples time and have a sense of urgency when medicine is needed!

One of the worst business phone calls made in my life. No help whatsoever when I said my Dr will call to ok it. Thanks Kameille for helping me absolutely get nothing done, not even information or a place to go if you were out. Is it just me or does every CVS play Dr. They are so rude if you HAVE to, not WANT to, take pain meds. Their monopoly on pharmacies is crazy. It's the only choice in many towns and seriously I'm 54, no rookie, they are absolutely the worst corporation or of of the top 3 worst in the U.S. Hopefully they have a downfall soon.

I personally don't like this pharmacy. I find them overpriced, understaffed, usually confused about what I need, and generally in a total state of mayhem.A good example was my last visit. At the drive thru, I handed the lady my prescription and my GoodRx Gold discount card. (I had checked online and the discounted price was to be $8.05.) She wrote all the info. down and said to come back in an hour.I receive a text saying my prescription is ready. I return to the drive thru and hand the same lady my credit card to pay and she rings it up and hand back my card and the prescription. I look at the receipt and it is for $17.76. I call this to her attention and explain that I had a GOLD discount card she said that she would gladly refund the $17.76 and refill at the correct amount. As she started, the pharmacist stepped up, told her she shouldn't be wasting her time doing things like that (refunds & helping customers, I assume), that she had more important things that needed to be done, and then he yelled out the window at me to go away for 15 minutes and he would fix it. (At this point, the pharmacist had my prescription, discount card, and my credit card in his hand.)Fifteen minutes later I was back. Same lady. As soon as I pulled up I saw sitting on the counter to her right in a neat stack my discount card and my credit card. Yep! You guessed it. Somewhere in those 15 minutes they had misplaced my prescription. It took another 8 minutes of them searching through every bin and tray in that pharmacy to finally locate my little bag containing 30 pills.This has to be the epitome of inefficiency.

It doesn't matter when your prescription is called in they will not fill it until you get there and you have to wait for it. Also they don't get in a hurry so if you go there you better have plenty of time

I called here today just a few mins before they closed just to see if my daughter's med was there. The guy tht answered was very rude! Saying we are about to close any min bt go ahead even though you will be calling me tomorrow so I told him what I needed and he gave me the info I needed I began to thank him and tell him sir have a good night and realized tht he had jst straight hung up the phone. I will not be coming here anymore! Thank you!

Lost medications when informed they were ready for pickup. Asked to leave and come back because "line is getting backed up because we lost the medication." Not only one but two prescriptions were lost by them. Most of the time they aren't that bad but it depends who is on the shift.

Closed on a Saturday. Then finally was able to speak with a woman in the pharmacy and found out "they" inactivated my prescription without consent. She then became condescending. I immediately called my Physician and left a message to have our prescriptions sent to a different pharmacy. I will never do business with CVS again.

I have been trying to get a prescription filled for two days for my daughter first they tell me we don't have enough to fill it and then they tell me they need a prior authorization for doctor. Now if they would have called the doctor he would have changed it to another prescription but no. I had it sent to Williams brothers in Paoli and the said they would have it in 15 minutes. My father however was able to pick up the acne medicine I picked up already so they gave that to us twice so CVS pharmacy in Salem has no idea what they are doing or what they have filled already. I will never go back unless it is an emergency.

The pharmacy definitely having problems. I was told today that they are a week and a half behind filling prescriptions. My prescription was called in last Friday and its still not ready today Tuesday am. Feel sorry for the front line workers getting slammed

Pharmacy (at least the drive through), is horrendously slow. Waited 45+ minutes in a line of only a few cars. Then, when we got to the window, took 5 minutes before even being greeted. I'd go anywhere else if you have the option.

Worst business I’ve ever dealt with. Always takes at least 3 trips to get prescriptions. Made a special trip to get medication during regular business hours and when I get there they are closed! Had to drive to another town to get it.

These people are absolutely RUDE. Refused to ask couple blocking the window for Covid vaccine to politely move so that we could check in, was told to wait our turn. No one else was there, just needed to sign in!!!!! Will be going elsewhere for 2nd dose.

Sit here in drive through for over 20 minutes (I was #2 in line). Drop off was not running at all. Tried to call and no answer. Never be back again. Worse service I've ever seen at any drug store.

I Love the phone notification when my prescriptions are ready . And the way they get my meds refilled by calling my doctor when I have no refills. The pharmacy at Salem is Awesome !!!

The pharmacy at this location is the worst. They are so rude and they do not care about the costumer. Called to switch my medication over for the third time and “not in the system. You never called.” Is what I got.
