I like to clearance shop to help the homeless, nursing homes and women's shelters.. I was refused a purchase today because the items were to cheap.. I couldn't believe what the cashier was telling me.. I will NEVER step foot into any Family Dollar ever again!!Besides that, the place was filthy..

I love our little quiet town we live in. We don’t have a lot of options for shopping. With that in mind this is the worst store I have visited in my 54 years. I was in a couple weeks ago. Every isle and anywhere you look on the floor is trash and dirt. Not small pieces of trash. This store looks like it hasn’t been swept in at least a year. All the shelves are are very disorganized. I was shopping for some A&W root beer and there was none on the shelve. The soda shelves where pretty empty. I asked up front and a gentleman who just happen to be standing in the register area taking to another employee jumped in to help. He asked how many I wanted and ran into the back and grabbed what I needed. He said “we have plenty back there”. I jokingly said maybe you should put a sign up here so people know where they are at. He answered “great idea. Anyway he went back to talking with the other employee. Just for convenience I stopped back in there today. The place is still just as dirty. And one thing I remembered before is that there was a tube of caulking laying on the floor. Guess what? It’s still just laying in the same place. I feel like I’m going to catch something going in there. No more for me! Just thought you guys should know. If someone doesn’t already then they don’t go In there. I wish I took photos.

Pretty decent little store. Workers are friendly and the store itself is clean and well organized. I would recommend over most other stores like it , to anyone.

If I could give it a 0 I would. I went in today to do some shopping and had to turn around and leave. It is total chaos!!! I couldn’t get down any isle….I’m not talking about boxes (yes there were plenty of those) but the merchandise was just all over the floor….the shelves were awful, nothing in its place. The other day I ran in for tape and there were 3 people behind the counter just talking and laughing. It’s a disgrace…that building is brand new. No excuse for the way it looks. Whomever owns this place needs to get in there and see this store.

4/8/2020: First time out since February because of the stay-at-home orders. Needed to get some groceries. I stopped in at Family Dollar on Lincoln Rd in Rockville, IN. Walked in and there wasn't any kind of sanitizer out to wipe carts. Asked, who I believed to be the manager, where the sanitizer for the carts was and he said we don't offer that. I turned around and walked out! I can't believe they were not making any efforts to promote safety for customers. Thank goodness there were automatic doors and hadn't touched anything.

This place is a treat! Not your average dollar store. He has a wonderful selection of clothing, food, house wares and anything you may need! I have truly enjoyed going and being greeted with a friendly smile. Like an old time neighborhood store!

To many empty shelves, and when they are out of something they tell you they don't order the stuff, they get what the truck brings. It's the first store I've ever heard anything like it. I don't believe that.
