This was a great visit. It was also my first time but everybody seemed so nice even patients lol not only the animals but their parents as well nice clean and the vet actually talks with u and gives u more info than just what was discussed at the visit .

Let me tell you a little bit about this Veterinary. They are wonderful. Megan and Kim on the front desk. Are the sweetest two girls that you could ever meet. Cindy who orders prescriptions and does other things behind the lines is also the most wonderful lady that you could ever meet. Most recently my dog Roscoe passed away my big black dog. They huged me they comforted me and they genuinely genuinely act like they cared . See a little story about me is. I was at another veterinary. And they acted like I was an inconvenience to them. But anyways with that being said. I come across these people . I could never thank them enough for being such kind and wonderful. And the vets kind and caring when we put our little Roscoe down. Thank you from me and Steve for being such wonderful wonderful....Staff.....

Dr. Walton was my go to Vet after leaving Laughery Valley veterinary clinic. I actually don’t think there’s a doctor out there that compete With Dr. Robinson. The prices at his establishment just became tremendously overpriced, and very pushy. A friend then suggested Dr. Walton. I liked him very much. My pet seemed to like him. I did have another veterinarian there ones that I was not happy with and have since requested to always see Dr. Walton which has not been a problem. I’ve been told twice he needs his teeth cleaned. I go to nake an appointment today and told he needs to be seen to make sure his teeth needs to be clean. When I tell her I’ve already been told this my last 2 appointments, she said it’s not in my file. She was nice an offered to go ahead and make the appointment without the consultation. when I ask about the price, she said teeth cleaning start out at $443. no matter size of the dog. My dog is 17 pounds that seems a bit ridiculous. I called two other places to get quotes on getting a 17 pound dogs teeth cleaned. The first one quoted me $203 and the second one quoted me $155 for the teeth cleaning and a $50 consultation first.I’ve also experienced rudeness in the front office at Dr. Walton’s office. Which I have overlooked because I felt Dr. Walton was a good vet. I took my pet and a friend sat in the waiting room while I was in the back, and the lady at the front proceeded to badmouth every single employee, especially a new one who was stealing hours from other people, and was not very pleasant at all. I was back in the office a few weeks later with an emergency they were trying to fit me in all the rooms were full so the young lady come out of the back and kind of spoke to me in the lobby on her way back in she stopped and turned the Christmas tree on and the same rude lady decided to say that maybe she should worry about doing her damn job instead of turning the Christmas tree on which she was just tearing that girl down for no reason. her stopping and turning them lights on took two seconds and their tree was beautiful. She has a very bad attitude because I continue to watch her as she answered calls mocked the people on the phone as she held the phone away from her head and made faces and mocking noises to Her coworkers. It makes me feel uncomfortable to call there. I called today because I want to have my pet seen by a good doctor and the staff does not necessarily reflect the care he’s going to get from the doctor. She was very nice about it but $443 to start out and that doesn’t even include if there’s a problem or an extraction. It really seems a bit much. I’ve had plenty of pets, and I’ve had their teeth cleaned before and never in my life Have I paid that much for a teeth cleaning let alone it start out at that amount. I do trust Dr. Walton so I’m not saying I won’t be back for Cooper’s yearly care, but I’m definitely going down the street for his teeth cleaning.

This is the Vet we chose when we moved back from KY. They are such nice people and take great care of our dogs and cats. 2 each 😆. Love the mobile rabies clinic. We take them all and save a ton of money! Great place.

We have been coming here for about 5 years now. We have always had good service and very reasonable pricing. Majority of the staff over the years has always been awesome. I love Debbie, her sassiness and her love for my furry children. Doc Dave and Doc Angie have always been good with us. Listening to our concerns and working with us on solutions. Doc Walton is a great vet. In the past he has really been great with our pets. But the front desk is so rude and the other staff does not measure up to his level. After being talked to rudely and being charged $150.00 for UTI prescription for our dog, it's time to leave this group. Good luck to Doc Walton. He needs to look into what is happening in his office.

I was nervous about taking my cat to a new vet. We had just moved a hour away from the one I'd been going to for over 20 yrs. I was so IMPRESSED with the way they treated our lil fur baby. Loved the Dr and her assistant, even the receptionists we very sweet. Couldn't have ask for better treatment. So glad we came here!

I guess they get the job done? However, I feel like there isn't a connection between vet/assistant and the pet/owner. I don't like that they take my dog away as I go into the room, so I can't see what happens. My dog is my family and that's how I want her to be treated. I would just like them to care more. Some of the assistants can be very rude as well.

They genuinely do care about your animals they explain everything all procedures and diagnosis is very well they're always available for a phone call to help you decide if you even need to bring your animals in even if you just need your anxieties calmed. My biggest complaint is that if an accident/emergency/or sudden illness strikes God Forbid it be life threatening/terminal because if you don't have the money then n there then you lose your precious fur baby all because someone that has the ability to save your best friend refuses to all because of money 💰 how can you as a doctor about to do no harm but voluntarily allow an animal that would otherwise survive to die all because somebody didn't have the money in their account that day it seems like they're playing more like God than the doctor other than that they're great Angie is the most amazing vet ever the ladies up front are usually wonderful every now and then you'll get a grump but for the most part I would recommend them to anybody unless you have money issues then they're just going to let your baby die

I came from and hour and a half away was way late due to interstate lane shut down but they still took care of my Besties Dog . We were so worried she had heart worms@ No worms just a virus of some sort and in her eye too gave her meds took her back 2 weeks later she is all better got all her vaccines and they even got her to let them trim her nails!! She won't let anybody touch her feet, her mommy was shocked. They are great with the animals and us humans too! Lol. They accept care credit too so that helped big time Thanks to all the ladies at Rising Sun Veternarian clinic

Dr Green and staff were awesome! It was our first visit with our German Shepherd but it won’t be our last. Well worth the drive from Kentucky. Even if we couldn’t take the ferry, we’d still make the drive. I wish I could give 10 stars!

Several months back we brought our beautiful cat Hazel here to get her up to date on her shots & for her to be spade! Well when we set up the appointment we were told to drop her off at 7-7:30a. We arrive and there’s no one there! We wait until someone shows up some 8am! Well the technician or whatever she was said she never told us to come there early when in fact they did, but whatever on that bc I’m not going to argue after working a 12 hour nightshift! So we continue to wait as she opens & sets up the building! While she’s doing so she’s cursing loud enough for us to hear & is very rude to us from the get go! I didn’t say anything bc I didn’t want the anger taken out on my baby! So we let her take her & we wait to pick Hazel up. Well the next day we pick her up the vet doesn’t really say a word to me… I will not bring any of my other animals here nor would I recommend! The service is terrible! I do not care how bad of a mood you are in leave it at home!

Dr. Walton is an excellent vet, and the community is lucky to have him and his entire staff. He actually seems to be in the field for the animals, not just the money, unlike some of the other vets I've dealt with in the tri-state area. Our dogs and horses have always received excellent care from this facility.
