It was so beautiful and getting to see all of The animals so close up.This was one of the best experiences I've had the pleasure to get to go do. yes it raind and we got wet, but we laughed and joked around about it and the animals was still out for us to see anyways. The ladies doing the tour were very knowledgeable and friendly and outgoing. We didn't feel rushed and everything we wanted to learn about the animals they gave us plenty of time to do so. I can't wait to go back again soon.

So much to say about Red Wolf Sanctuary. First, Mr. Paul and his staff were so kind and welcoming and accommodated my families busy schedules, they even had blankets for us to keep us warm on the tour, so thoughtful. Second, we learned so much about the animals at the sanctuary and even about our own lives. How they explain behaviors and relating it to us, as humans, was very helpful. We brought 5 young kids with us and they were immersed the entire time, learning so much and taking a different perspective of environments and animals. Third, the experience overall was eye-opening and was a one-of-a-kind experience, Going right up to the enclosures and even petting some of the animals was fun for all. Thank you so much for the experience! We will definitely be back!

We drove 3.5 hours to visit this sanctuary, and we enjoyed every minute of it. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable, and you could feel he loves animals and loves what he does. Good to know that the residents are being taken care of. Frankly, if there were any benches, I'd just sit there and relax. The place is so peaceful. Definitely worth it.

We loved our tour today for our daughters 16th Birthday! It gave our daughter the best Birthday she has ever had she said. Best experience for our family for an outing and see nature to close. Her mother loved Glacier , the Artic Fox she thought she'd never get to see. Thank you so much!!

I went here with our youth girls from our church. We all had a blast as we were lead from exhibit to exhibit by Michael and Ryan. The animals are obviously very well cared for and the staff is very knowledgeable. Highly recommend this place to go on a tour! You won’t regret it.

Michael led our tour and was absolutely wonderful! It was clear he loves his job and is very knowledgeable about all of the animals and restoration based conservancy. The sanctuary itself is beautiful and well maintained and the animals are left to their own devices, primarily. The wolves are stunning but I was impressed by the size and dedication of the operation. Highly, highly recommend!

I paid $20, and was given a private tour via a 4x4 mule. My guide stopped the vehicle along the trail so I could get out, walk around the pens, and view and take pics of the wolves, coyote, foxes and raptors. There was a surprise animal that I hadn't expected to find there. She had just come out of hibernation! It was a very positive experience, and I look forward to visiting again.

The animals were super cool and the place was super beautiful. It was all for a good cause and eco friendly. But the man who gave us the tour, Paul, was very sexist. He constantly gave unwanted physical contact and only called you honey or sweetie. Very inappropriate behavior.

This place is awesome! I love how free and safe the animals are here. We had a wonderful time.We found an injured turkey vulture on the side of the road. The owner was gentle and caring for this bird. I feel I left this bird in the best possible place for a positive outcome. So I am extremely greatful!

I had talked about this sanctuary and my interest in it for years, and I finally made the drive out to Indiana and I have to say that it was all I had imagined it to be. Our tour guide Michael was so passionate and knowledgeable about all of the animals, and showed obvious care and concern for them, their wellbeing, and what is best for them. Questions were encouraged and answered enthusiastically, I learned a lot about each animal, and it was truly a fun experience. I would love to come back in the future. Also, to Spooky the cat, I’m so sorry for stepping on your paw, please don’t be mad at me 😅

Call to make a reservation. If you don't get a call back, call again the next day. Sometimes staff is out tending to the animals or hosting tours. I met the owner 10 years ago on a school field trip to the sanctuary he was a character then and hasn't simmered down since, great guy. This sanctuary is more about the wildlife and the rescue and rehabilitation of it than being some strange curated photo opportunity that's more about you than the animals. The tours run about two hours and are taken either on cart or on foot depending on group size and time of year. I most recently went in January, don't let winter deter you, I'd suggest a visit every season. $20 donation per adult, children are less. Skip the zoo this year and come here. There's a great little shop called D.J.s Coffee and Doughnuts nearby(in Aurora) that's worth a stop.

We had 2 excellent tour guides - Tara and Emma - drive our groups in two Kubota 4 wheelers on 10-14-20 to observe and learn about not only WOLVES, but COYOTES, BLACK BEARS, FOXES, POSSOMS, HAWKS AND OWLS.*MUST CALL OR FB FOR APPOINTMENT*They also have large dogs, a friendly barn cat, 4 horses and a mule. Tour took over 2 hours (but that's because several of us asked A LOT of questions;).Only $20/pp to get up and personal with wildlife! (Photos won't post right now so will try later).Have small gift shop afterwards.

They have many different wild animals to learn about and observe due to injury, unable to return to the wild or for rehabilitation. The animals are in secure but natural habitats. They do tours for small and large groups. They have motorized transportation if needed during tours. Fun for the whole family!
