I stopped by here tonight around 7:30. The store is supposed to be open until 10. They had 2 handwritten signs on the front door. One read, "Temporarily closed. Sorry for the inconvenience. " The other, "Vendors, knock on door or call (not listing phone number in case it's an employees personal cell)." All the lights were on. I'm not sure what the issue was. I'm hoping it wasn't a medical emergency, but assuming it wasn't since they had time to make up the signs and were able to come to the door for vendors. Anyway, it was an inconvenience... not just for myself. I saw many cars pulling in and out after seeing it wasn't open.

A little messy but they're getting more organized and working on the cleanliness. Employees are friendly. Shelves tend to be pretty well stocked. Would just recommend checking expiration dates on food, drink and medicines

*Update year later* The store was recently remodeled in to a home store with fresh fruit which is great. The best part is new management!!!!! And they are so great got employees in that actually like their jobs and i finally feel welcomed in this store even though im only aloud in there 20 mins at a time cause of the old manager not liking me. Long story but this store has turned around 100% adjusted stars good job team. Management is the worst here. I guess she feels she doesn't have to work register everytime that I have been in there and everybody else I know have complained about there always being a line while manager is out talking. Not to mention every time they have a soda deal they never have enough to get as many as you need to do the deal. doesn't matter if you come on the first day of the sale or not. Any item that there is a digital for was rarely stocked. Last time I was in this location there was something spilt on the floor and when I visited again like a week or so later that same spot was still there.!!!!! what gets me the most though is if you plan on shopping don't think you are going to do so with a cart..... trying to go down an asle with one is just impossible with out knocking over a few shelfs or having to back all the way out due to not being able to make it out the other end the toy isle is especially bad....

The employees at this store were not very friendly, was actually rude. Wouldn’t allow us to get anything off the sky shelves at all even though my brother in law is tall enough to reach. Then told us we needed to hurry up and get out of the store because “the health department just called and they were going to shut them down if more then 10 people in the store” on a Sunday no less. At checkout they refused to give us our receipt. Saying the DM wants them to keep all the receipts of penny sales. I argued that and told them to make a copy. Then wanted to give me the copy. Um noooo, I get my original. They gave me the original. Second transaction they just went ahead and made a copy.

Night time employees are rude, I have been asked to leave while shopping because they were wanting to close early so the male and female employees could flirt without being bothered by doing what they are hired for. This place has become a joke, employees are constantly rude and employees previously hired have even cussed at me because I asked if she would mind bagging my items because I had to walk home. I only go here as a last resort.

This place has improved so much sinxe the new management it looks better feels better its not always a hot mess... Not even the clearance aisle its great. Theres only one employee that acts like they hate their job but the rest is just nice and glad you are shopping with them.

This store is so cluttered. Can't get up and down isles because of crates totes and ladders. This is not employees fault. The store gets a generated order from corporate weather it is needed or not so there ends up being no place to put it . What a mess.

My experience at the Dollar General was a good and they employees there always treat me with respect and every time I go there they are always asking me if I need help finding anything they very polite respectful to me and husband and it's peaple like them that keeps us going back Thank you everyone at Dollar General in Rising Sun, Indaina we appreciate you

Fresh produce. Spinach and everything I was looking for. Basically a small grocery store now. Love this one. Staff is awesome also. Who'd a think it?

They need to stock shelves. Had big carts in the way. It made it difficult to get stuff and had to leave my cart at the end of the aisle to get stuff.b

It's a store, but it does need to be cleaned up some. Also the credit card machine has been having issues lately, resulting in them having to reboot the system. But all in all they have quite a bit of products.
