Placed a pick up order this morning for 5pm pick up. Got a notification at 4:30 it was delayed. Then at 6 that the order was canceled. Drove to the store and the “manager” on duty acted bothered to look into why. He says I wasn’t the manager on duty earlier today. He then calls two other managers that worked earlier in the day. His final reply was well the scanner was missing all day and we didn’t know we had pick up orders sent in. Really? Saturday is your busiest day and you had no idea your scanner was missing? I think he came in for his shift and just said screw it and canceled my order without completing. I then went to shop myself and the store was such a disaster I just left. Why is it that all the DG located in Richmond are old, dirty and cluttered?

Groceries, household items, basic necessities, furniture, pet products available. They seem to be short staffed as is hard to catch the store fully stocked, so call beforehand!!! Customer service can be very rude at times, but is up to you whether you want to deal with it or take your business elsewhere.

The DG on the south west side is cleaner, more organized and stocked better than the others with the exception of the NW 5th st. store. Most everything is off the floor and on the shelves out of harms way. The employees do a great job putting merchandise on the shelves, and not kept on the carts all around the store.

Went to the newest Dollar General hoping the shelves wouldn't be empty like some of the other ones here in town. They had most of the items I was looking for. I don't understand why all of the stores including Walmart, Meijer and every other retailer that has CANNED CAT FOOD is having to deal with suppliers who are unable to provide stock. I don't put any blame on the stores, I know they can only put items on the shelves that are sent to them. Other than that issue every thing else was great.

The new Dollar general where family video use to be is the cleanest n most organized store I been in. The workers are polite and considerate of people. They have a wide selection of items of everyday needs. Compare that to the one on south 9th, the dollar general on south 9th is always nasty, messy, dirty. Sometimes the workers are rude n not helpful if you have a question. Some workers at dollar general on south 9th makes u feel like u wish you didn't have to shop there. I will always make an effort to go to the Dollar general on west main.

Store had a lot of bear spaces and two staff members I aske if they could help me find something said if it is not on the shelf the don't have ut. Ok what shelf should I look on?? Just left the store at that point

Very good store variety of different items from food and to paper clothes and medicine car some places for Dollar general has cigarettes and candy.

I thought they would have more and be cleaner but I was disappointed. I was going to buy some Christmas stuff I thought was on clearance but the register said it wasn't. This being 2 weeks or more after Christmas.

The employees are always friendly. It's easy to get in and out . They're usually pretty well stocked up on things.
