I would not recommend Lowry brothers to anyone. They had my mower for over 2 months to make a repair. They changed more parts than they said without discussing the added “issues and parts”. I am certain that they just changed parts until they fixed it. Then charged for their subpar service to cover their own deficiencies. I would avoid them if you need any a repair. They used to be a good business, but things seem to be changing. If you want to be given the runaround and then be overcharged, this is the business for you. By far the worst service experience I have encountered in many years.

I was working on a plumbing project in my home and needed a special plumbing wrench. I went up to Lowry Brothers and they had just what I needed. It saved me a trip to Monticello or even worse yet , a trip to Lafayette.

I like to shop local whenever I can, so when I needed to purchase batteries for mine and my wife's Indian motorcycles, I decided to stop by Lowry's. They are supposedly an Interstate Batteries dealer, which is another plus for me, being American made products.Imagine my surprise when I was told, "We don't mess with those"Then I was told where I might be able to find some. Wow. I've been riding for 40+ years, I certainly don't have any problem finding a battery!I was ready to spend over $300, but I guess they didn't need my business.

We passed by here a few months ago and saw the Case Knife sign outside, but it was late and the store was closed. Made a point to stop this trip and was not disappointed. The have a good selection of Case knives (rated as a "Silver" dealer). I was waited on by one of the staff who is a Case collector himself and had a great time talking knives with him and having him showing me several of the knives that interested me. I purchased one for my growing collection and while there my wife bought some work gloves and a garden spade. From a quick look around the store at other items I would say that they are well stocked and have a good variety of hardware. The staff there was very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to stopping again on a future trip.

Drove 3.5 hours to pick up a mower that Evan said he would hold for me since I’ve bought from this place before. I’m out over $300 in gas and paying someone to come pick up this mower. Owner was very rude and hung up on me on the phone. Do yourself a favor and don’t do business with this company.
