This place needs to be closed down! There batteries only last 24 to 48 hours! Their chip's taste like cardboard! The owner's refuse to let you take the carts outside by putting long poles on the carts! Using the excuse that their carts get stolen which is a lie! When they are to lazy to go get them from outside! When Strack's right next store carts don't get stolen! When there are senior citizen's that shop there, handicapped people shop there & people with children that shop there & spend a lot of money there! They can't carry all that they buy to their car's in one haul. They are told by the employee's to either leave their paid for products at the door & go pull their car's up to the fire lane which is ILLEGAL & THAT CAN CAUSE THEM TO GET A TICKET! I INTEND TO GO TO THE CODING BOARD & ALL OF THE POLITICIAN'S & CLOSE THIS PLACE DOWN! (WE ALL SPEND LOTS OF MONEY THAT THEY FAMILY DOLLAR & THEY REFUSE TO PROVIDE THE SAME CUSTOMER SERVICE CARTS AS ALL STORES IN THE AREA PROVIDE TO CARRY THEIR PAID FOR PRODUCT'S OUTSIDE SAFELY TO THEIR CAR'S THAT ARE LEAVING THEM AT RISK FOR THEFT & ROBBERY & TICKET'S FOR PARKING THEIR CAR'S IN A FIRE ZONE TO BE ABLE TO CARRY THEM TO THEIR CAR'S)! (IF THEY DON'T WANT TO PROVIDE THIS ONE SERVICE THAT ALL STORES IN THE AREA PROVIDE THEN THEY NEED TO BE SHUT DOWN NOW)! I WILL BE MAKING THAT HAPPEN! Yeah, their products are cheap, but they are made CHEAP FROM CHINA! THEY ARE NOTHING BUT GARBAGE! THE OWNER'S ARE TO CHEAP TO ALLOW YOU TO USE THE CART'S/BUGGIES TO TAKE THEM OUTSIDE AFTER SPENDING LOTS OF MONEY IN THEIR STORE! (IT ISN'T THE EMPLOYEE'S FAULT)! IT IS THE OWNER'S FAULT & THEY OWN MORE THAN ONE STORE IN THE AREA! (THEY ALL NEED TO BE CLOSED DOWN IF THEY AREN'T GOING TO APPRECIATE THEIR CUSTOMER'S & PROVIDE THE BASIC OF CUSTOMER SERVICE TO THEIR PATRON'S OF PROVIDING BUGGIES TO TAKE OUTSIDE WITH THEIR PURCHASES IN THEM)!

The main reason I enjoy our Family Dollar is Tina the manager and her team. You can ask for help and they are so friendly right there to answer where something is. I always feel like a visit to friends house when I'm stopping by.

I stopped in for a couple things. I noticed this store was well stocked and so clean! All the shelves looked almost perfect. The cashier was so friendly and helpful.

I had a problem with my tree.I put my tree up every year on Thanksgiving and well few branches was broke.I got the tree as a gift a little over a month ago and I know the policy.But just wanted to see if I can exchange even for a smaller one.i called here and Tina was very nice.She understood and was willing to help me.I did call the store which was 2626 Central Ave, Lake Station, IN 46405 the manager there was rude with me and I get it you need to follow policy.But just the way she was speaking to me she sounded as if she doesn't like her job at all.i felt as if I was speaking to a kid.I don't know why she is a manager there.But enough said about that location.Thank you very much Tina and Happy Holidays 😊

I love family dollar but this is by far one of the worst ones I have gone too. Tina a lady that works there is VERY RUDE!!! I had 3 little kids with me which is very hard doing any shopping but she comes up to my 3 year old threatening and says next time you open a toy your mom is going to have to buy it. My child didn’t even open that toy. Made me feel very uncomfortable being in there just to do a little shopping she is the reason I will not be returning to this family dollar. She should not be working a customer service job.

Used to have great cashiers, now they are horrible, with poor customer service. They talk about their customers horribly. I just left that store & had to tell the lady who rang up my order that I clearly heard her talking about me just because I asked questions about the coupon app I was using for the 1st time. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE & VERY RUDE!! Of course she denied it, but I heard her loud as day. I won't be returnig again.

I made a stop on your store on Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2020 . I went in to buy several items but in specific a funnel for oil change. I asked the girl working in the first cashier if they sell funnels. She said, "go to the isle where they are oils for cars and that is where the funnels are. I went to where she had told me and looked up and down for funnel. She came out of the register and made a scene with her arms and said this is where the funnels are. It was her displayed of where to find it that was disturbing to me. I left upset but nonetheless I acted very polite and thanks her for her help.

I was so excited to have bought a 8 ok of Scott's toilet paper and a jumbo of Scott's paper towel!! That lasts me the entire month. Great prices very good cashiers.

This place is a life saver for a fashion emergency. Between Burger King and Wendy's, I was having issues with Fanta Orange in the Coca-Cola Freestyle. The result: my pants, which I bought from here, and my winter jacket are stained orange. I found a perfect pair of women's tye dye pants for $8.00. This is the second time I bought pants from them. Reasonable price for Powerade and Mountain Dew energy drinks. Convenient location, and easy to get to. They are also hiring
