I always find new, cool things when I go, and the store is easy to navigate. Tons of parking! Also, I was there last night, 4/23/24, and the girl that rang us up was so incredibly sweet, funny, welcoming, etc. that I actually left there in an even better mood than when I arrived! Being genuine and kind is contagious!!

Compared to any of the Madison stores, this one is worth the miles to get to Portage. Well stocked, well organized and friendly helpful employees. Keep up the good work!

My husband and I frequent this store quite often. Kim is a wonderful employee. My husband and Kim always joke around when we are checking out or when he sees her stocking. She has always been helpful and kin, we look forward to seeing her there when we shop. The store is always clean and they are always stocking it.

The cashier was very rude. I tried engaging in conversation and complementing the store on something she disregarded everything I saidTelling the customers behind me, she was closed gave me my total and didn’t even say have a good day or anything.

I frequent this location often. It is well organized and clean. I usually find everything I need relatively quickly, and I have asked a few employees for help and most of them are very helpful. There is a short Older lady she looks like she could be Mexican, or of some Latin descent, I have heard her on several occasions, talking trash about other employees. She does this in front of customers. I also witnessed her chastise a younger black girl while she was trying to finish up my transaction. She was so focused on trying to demean this young lady that she Stood in the way as I was trying to exit the store with my child, causing me to have to say excuse me several times in order Exit the store.I have witnessed her talk about an employee she viewed as being “super slow”. Not sure if this lady is a member of management, but Every time I come in and she works, I Constantly hear her complaining about her coworkers and it’s just extremely unprofessional.

Ok, but prices could be a little lower. Dollar General has most of the same products, but cheaper. The difference is Dollar Tree carries more in stock.

Line wasn't long, but one customer had a large quantity of items. Another gal immediately opened another register so I and others could pay for our one or 2 things and got out quickly.

Slowest check out line…everytime i come in the line TO CHECKOUT is wrapped around the store. One cashier while the others sit in the office chatting

The employees or the managers will not actually help customers find anything. They point across the store at several locations and tell you that if you can't find it then they must be out of it. They smile and say hi.. when you enter the store but as soon as you ask them where something is located then they don't want to talk to you.

Great valentine selection and card selection. 3 Employees, 2 females and a male were openly complaining about their jobs which was inappropriate and should have been in a break room away from customers hearing their unhappiness with their jobs. Otherwise it was a good experience.

Stockers took up the aisles, was hard to get through, and they acted upset when I tried getting around them. One register opened and had a huge line. The store is always a mess.

I’ve been in many Dollar Tree stores across the country since I travel for work and I have to say without a doubt, this store location is the cleanest, most organized, and most fully stocked Dollar Tree that I’ve ever seen! I was in shock with how nice the entire store looked and I didn’t have to rummage through piles to find the item I wanted...bonus!This store has a great grab n go snack selection too!The staff were friendly and helpful! Keep up the great work with this store!

The store offers great finds. Cute little decorations for parties. Inexpensive birthday cards/bags/tissue paper. A nice selection of balloons. It's very clean and well organized. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Prices have went up yet they still don't have the employees there check everybody out in a reasonable time. Even though they are newer than Hobart. It seems like they are starting to go down in quality.

Sad the prices went up.Went for purple acrylic paint. They didn't have it. But of course they had all kinds of cute Easter stuff that filled my cart! All the shoppers were friendly. They had three registers open with 4 ppl in each line. Hobart usually has one register open with 1000 people in line. Good job Portage!

The only reason I came here was for candy and I was so very pleased to find everything I was looking for and MORE. you literally cannot beat these prices! Staff was extremely awesome, even when the store was packed and anxious. There was a great variety for such a lil store. They had Easter decorations, like an entire section for Easter!! It was amazing. I would recommend this dollar store to people within a 5 mile radius

Usually pretty busy, needs another cashier most of the time. Typically is organized, and things are in areas that make sense together. Staff is usually friendly, & will chat with you while ringing you up. There are also both carts and handbaskets available for use. Seasonal items go fast, buy them while you can still see them.

Lots of seasonal stuff at cheap prices. My kid loves his $1 toy as much as any quality thing he's gotten. Good for random knickknacks.

Nice store to get bargains. Especially around holidays. Seems to stay well stocked, as some stores aren't (due to covid) . I am picky on what I buy, somethings you can get a better buy elsewhere. Still worth the time to look. One issue, I don't think you should wait in line while the cashier fills 10 balloons. Pay for them and someone else fills them so the line keeps moving.

We love the Portage Dollar Tree! It is clean, well stocked, no carts or boxes cluttering up all the aisles and the workers are all very friendly. It is SO much better than the dirty, poorly stocked Hobart store.

Okay stuff. I wouldn't buy anything to "important" here because sometimes the quality sucks , but I mean it's a dollar. I'll buy like cheap Halloween decorations here or candy. Small stuff.

This. Is a great dollar tree store! Its a newer building, and is always kept clean. They have a good assortment of food items, and most of the items are pretty good quality. Where else can you get a loaf of bread, kitchen towels, or batteries for a buck nowadays??? Definitely worth it!

Today I had one of the best trips to the dollar tree I have ever had!! Everyone was so nice! The amount of balloons and selection they already had up and available for customers was remarkable!!
