Last night around 1230am The gentleman which his name is mark the pharmacist. Me and him had a altercation. I was on the phone with a friend of mine telling my friend. Why I was in the hospital and I was just now getting out.He took something that I said. And got very loud and very rude with me. Which I was not talking to him, I was talking to my friend. I let him know that I was talking to my friand he didn't need to get loud with me on anything that I wasn't talking to him. I will be calling corporate after I leave this message. I said to him I said, I'm not talking to you, sir, I'm talking to you sir, I'm talking to the person that I'm on the phone with that has nothing pretend to you and I don't understand why you're getting loud with me. And he proceeded to sit there and say that he had 500 prescriptions to fail, which that was none of my concern, none of my business. I didn't need to know that. I said I'm here to get my stuff and leave. I'd just now go to the hospital. I want to go. He left it alone I left it alone.And I continue talking to my friend. But I didn't appreciate the smart guy that works at the pharmacy. Getting loud over a conversation that had nothing to pretend with him.

Hire more technicians / pharmacists. Pharmacy in Valparaiso did not have all prescriptions called in by hospital. Did not find out till picked up. They stated that they could have following day. Not what the emergency room ordered. Ended transferring over to Portage. Still sitting and waiting as my wife's medications are worn off. I would like to know if CVS's ceo would like any of his / her family ignorantly treated like this. I expect a response immediately. The pharmacist with the long brown hair was very rude even lie to me saying my script couldn't be filled for another 2 days. I got it today like I thought. I walked up and they were laughing at me both the tech and pharmacist. Was so obvious they were laughing at me because she canceled my script to get filled but weird my other pharmacy filled it no problemI will be getting her name. I have that all on videos. The pharmacy people are always very nice to me! But filling the prescription takes so long because they are so busy! Needless to say, they have alot to see & buy at CVS! EVERYONE is very helpful!

I have ALS and Brittney hung up on me and another tech!If they would take the time to listen and be courteous , and not cut you off!!I am 100% disabled VeternShe knows she done wrong!! Because she refused to give her name, look it up the last one in my chart! I want to file ACL complaint!They disrespected me because of my speech!!I want a call from the manager

The pharmacy is a complete joke! There was only 1 person in front me and it took over an hour to fill my prescription. Get rid of everyone in the pharmacy section! Lack of urgency and professionalism.

My script was called into Merrillville CVS. They are a day behind. I had it called into Michigan City. Their computer was down and 3 days behind filling.Thank God Portage CVS has the Supreme staff. A special thanks to Hailey for giving me a discount which saved me $140 on my script. Plus she expedited me in and out in a record 8 minutes.CVS Corporate should give everyone in this pharmacy a raise.

Their app don’t work correct , not all but some of their staff don’t either. Never in my lifetime I ever thought a pharmacist would have accused my spouse who has a terminal illness that is always in pain of pharmacy hopping. That was the beginning of the end.

Don’t bother refilling through the phone it app. They will NOT inform you that your refill is out of stock. I even gave more time before picking up and still no one took it upon themselves to let me know my prescription was out of stock. Ridiculous! Had to wait a long time while they find a cvs that had it . Really messing up

Allison is THE BEST. As busy as this location is- I believe it IS so busy because everyone that works in that pharmacy is nice including the girl at the window. I was in November 3rd 2022 at approximately 4:45 pmTHANK YOU for being SO NICE!!!

Absolutely terrible. They can never help you with anything. They say things that are simply untrue. My father was a pharmacist for 40 years. I know they are lying about not being able to access certain things or being able to help in certain ways. They simply do not care about helping people.

Worst place ever. Everytime you wait hours and hours, they treat you like you don't matter. I came to the counter for my meds, already placed refill order 8 hours ago. I have remaining fills. They tell me it's not done but they will rush it. Hahahahaha 2 hours is a rush. Blonde chick just don't care. She is horrible. Worst person ever. I pray everyday walgreens will take my insurance.

I use the drive through to pick up my prescriptions. Because I am wheelchair bound, I have asked the clerk in the pharmacy if she could get other items that I need because I sometimes don't have the strength to get my wheelchair out to go into the store. They are always very gracious and helpful. When I do have the strength I do go in. My experience has always been positive.

It’s very rare I ever have a good experience with this CVS and sadly it’s the closest one. Whenever I call the pharmacy or go through the drive through they are never friendly. Rather it’s to get my meds or ask questions about my meds the pharmacist and the techs are rude. If you don’t like your job don’t blame the customers.

This review is only for trying to call, we had to try 3 times to get to the pharmacy, the computer only wanted to talk about covid 19. I was sent from 1 computer to another computer to be put through to someone who didn't speak english to tlak about covid 19, I told both computers and the human(?) I wanted the pharmacy, called back after being hung up on had to keep saying operator. It was horrible. Please bring back people!

I will not give my experience today even a 1 star. I give it zero. I called them 3 days ago for a refill of my medication and they told me over the phone that it will be ready today. I came to pick it up and Beverly, who is the technician told me that they don't have my medication. I told her what I was told 3 days ago that it will be ready today. I already missed 4 doses and asked her if there's any availability in Hobart branch. Now she tells me that I need to get back in line, because they will give me partial refills. I already waited 30 minutes and now I drove around and waiting for another 20-30 minutes. This is bad service. I will be taking my prescription somewhere and I will file a complaint to their corporate office. Please Don't get your medications from CVS.

NOT recommended!! These people could not get a prescription right to save their lives. It takes multiple trips for just one medication!! I have no faith or trust in these people. If your meds are important, do yourself a favor and stick with Walgreens!!

Worst pharmacy ever!! I have even been given the wrong medication before!! My script was supposed to be on auto refill and they dropped the ball. When I called to see if it was ready they said they couldn't get it until the next week .... past my injection date!!! They are extremely slow every time I go in to pick anything up. Long lines! Pick a different pharmacy if you have that option!

I wouldn’t give my experience today even a one star and I am changing where I get my medication from permanently. I have a regular medication that I take for multiple health concerns, in February CVS switched my medication to generic version and proceeded to tell me “it’s the same exact pill just manufactured at a different location” two months later and I have had severe reactions to it, this I do not necessarily blame this establishment for since they are not doctors however blatantly lying to me is inexcusable. I saw a doctor earlier today who told me that the generic medication they gave me instead of what I normally take has had repeated terrible reviews and is not nearly the same medication aside from a few similar ingredients.I waited in line for twenty minutes the only to be told that they only just saw my prescription and it’ll be another twenty minutes, no big deal. I grabbed lunch and waited a half hour before going back. Waited in line another twenty minutes only to be told it wasn’t ready yet and to give them another you can guess, twenty minutes. So I wait an hour this time and sit in the drive thru for an extra half hour to make sure I do not leave without my medication. I explained to the very kind woman at the drive thru my serious reaction and that my doctor should have included in my file that I am never to receive that specific generic version ever again. She grabs the pharmacist just to make sure she knew and this is what pissed me off the most.You have the most rude “professional” I’ve ever come across in the health field. She had the audacity to literally tell me with the worst attitude ever that resembles an adolescent that the medication is exactly the same and highly doubts it caused any of my health problems. She also added that if the generic version is available then that is what I will be given then promptly walked away. Anyway, considering I just saw a doctor who has been treating me for years now and she knew right away that the medication change is the cause of a drastic negative change in my body. How dare you ever tell someone that a medication that caused diagnosed harm to them is not the reason being when you know nothing about a persons medical history.I would not seek any advice from this pharmacy regarding drugs which should be their area of expertise if you have a serious health condition or are sensitive to medications. Your pharmacist is just as important as your doctor, you need to see someone who cares about you and can effectively provide you the medication you need. Cvs~ hire someone who knows what they are doing and cares more about their career than bottling dangerous drugs and passing them out like candy.

In order for me to give a review, I had to hit 1 star. The communication I had with the pharmacist was 0. CVS, Portage, IN. During this pandemic, I thought I would have had better communication regarding medication. Pharmacist Greg was rude and very unprofessional and very immature as I shared with him, to please stop refilling medication that was not called in. I contacted the pharmacy because they are refilling prescriptions that are not being called in. This is the second time I’ve received a prescription that was not called in.

The Portage CVS pharmacy all around is just GREAT, I have always had a good interaction with EVERYONE, they are friendly, curtious, and respectful. That in itself makes the absolute difference when it comes to any pharmacy or business.

I am very disappointed in the pharmacy department today I had surgery and i waited 4 hours to get my pain meds and i called and they said it's still not ready. Another hour i said i just had surgery and i am hurting and my.medicine is wearing off I said you can't hurry it up and make it sooner. She said well were very busy tonight. I dont care if your busy your job is to make sure that people get there meds she was really rude and I didnt tell her that but I'm like busy that's your job. Very unprofessional. So now I have to sit here and wait in pain for my.meds because cvs is to busy right now. They had 3 hours to fill it

PHARMACY IS HORRIBLE SERVICE IS BEYOND HORRIBLE THE ATTITUDE AND COMPETENCY IS HORRIBLE! Like we are talking how dare you be the one with attitude when we’re the ones waiting on crazy long holds on phone horribly long drive thrus, store lines, etc.... whoever this new person Sam is geeez her attitude just speaks I HATE my job and don’t want to help you!! Over all all my pharmacy experiences at this place are always a nightmare unfortunately they are wht I have to use for insurance and closest to me!!! Couldn’t tell you how many times the actual pharmacist has screw’d up my order! Corporate needs to come in here undercover and do something ASAP

TERRIBLE!Just Terrible!! Every. Time.I’ve never been thru the drive thru without waiting at least a half hour...The staff never calls insurance if there are issues so you get the text that your meds are ready, go to pick up & they wanna charge you for thugs that should be covered... then you have to come back because they don’t do their job right the first time.I’ve called their district manager 3 times over the past couple years. Even they say this store is awful!!

I have shopped here for years but im done with that. The people in the pharmacy are very rude. The pharmacy in the last town i lived in were cordial and quick to help people. Also they need to train the people at the front cashier position how to do the job. I just tried to do a moneygram and the person was lost.

If only Portage families knew what y'all have out here. I come from Florida and I typically used Gary CVS on Broadway, it should be condemned! This is a godsend so clean, fast prescriptions with a smile and access to all of CVS products. Ive officially switched to this CVS and currently looking for a home out here to.

This has to be the worst Pharmacy I've ever dealt with in my entire life. Go to Meijer or Walgreens, far better service overall. The lack of intelligence and the refusal to give good customer service is all the reason not to go to this place. If you choose to go there, be prepared to be immensely frustrated.

Rude service in pharmacy. The pharmacy wait is always long regardless if it’s in the building, on the phone, or in the drive through. Expect to wait and expect to leave annoyed. The only up side is the Store side. The GM is a nice guy and the people up front are always pleasant. The pharmacy though, not worth it.. go to Meijer or Walgreens or sheesh even Walmart is better.

We had our flu shots done here, and Joe (I think) was amazing with my young kids. He let them see what was going on and explained what he was doing. Considering the context of our visit, it was a great experience.
