Mower blade, I took my mower blade to Great Lakes Ace to be sharpened. They said it would be a few days as they have to send it somewhere to be sharpened. It has been over two weeks and I still don’t have my mower blade back yet. I would not recommend using Ace to get your mower. Blades sharpened.

Great Lakes Ace Hardware in Plainfield Indiana has a good sale for Labor Day the paint I bought was 50% off the second gallon also they match the color perfectly and the price I paid was a lot lower price than Lowe's they also have cleaning supplies paint supplies you'll save money there versus driving the way that gas prices are to somewhere further I would recommend going to this Great Lakes Ace in Plainfield

The employees were attempting to sell me unnecessary items trying to take advantage. When respectfully told I did not need the extras, the staff responded in a condescending manner. If you are new to a project and are not familiar with the "ins-and-outs" avoid this store as they will attempt to take advantage of you.

Stopped in last week to get softener salt. The salt was blocked off by a plant display and people selling t-shirts. Went inside to get checked out and the was no one in the vicinity of the cash registers. Left and bought the salt elsewhere. Stopped in today to order lawn fertilizer delivered to my home. No one in the store knew how to ring me up. Will get my fertilizer elsewhere. This used to be a decent hardware store with helpful people.

Super friendly and helpful staff. Love that Ace supports small business industry and small manufacturers that big bix stores won't even touch. Ace has come through in a pinch more than any other hardware store.

Drove from Greenwood on a Monday to get my key FOB cut and programmed. I was told the guys who do that weren't working, so come back Tuesday. Drove back Tuesday just to be told they couldn't use my key and they had to backorder a new one and it'd be $300. They said they couldn't use my key because if something got messed up they would have to buy me a new one. So, they're fine inconveniencing me by avoiding a low risk situation. Pretty upset they didn't tell me that up front and prevent me from driving across town multiple times. I called Pop-A-Lock. They showed up to my house, cut and programmed my FOB within 10 minutes for $175. Sure wish I knew about Pop-A-Lock beforehand! Disappointed in ACE!

Go here. Not the big box stores. A knowledgeable person will help you within seconds and very near the same price as the store where you cant find what you need or a person who wants to help you.

I went in the store and asked if they had canning lids. The employee actually took me to them. I was pleasantly surprised by that. He was knowledgeable about the location of the items in the store. That's not the norm in most places these days. Thank you young man!!!

My husband and I have been in this store several times, and while the customer service is never good, the convenience is hard to beat. On my last visit to this store, several employees were clustered in the paint department engaging in conversation about religion, drunk driving, death, and suicide. A retail store full of customers is hardly the place for these sorts of conversations. I probably would have overlooked the inappropriate nature of the conversation given the setting had one of the employees not snickered at me when I needed assistance. The employees at this store are in serious need of customer service re-education. I would advise taking your business elsewhere.

Employees are friendly and helpful. They have more than most hardware stores, but it is Ace. The prices are high on most things.On the plus side they are the only game in a large area that can make keys that have immobilizers and such. I had a key that Honda wanted $187.00. Aces did it for $30.00. For once YouTube gave me a good idea.

If u need something get it here pay a few extra bucks for the personal attention and service...mom and pops stores let's keep em around!!! if we dont they will be gone ..shop this one .

Good customer service. Ace tends to stock out of season items you can't find at bigger box stores. Needed window kits for project. Lowe's & Menards had all that put away. People there go out of their way to help you find what you need. Bit more pricey on lots of items but convenience made expense worth it.

My go to place when purchasing hardware. It's organized, and they offer a good selection of metric and SAE hardware. They also have craftsman tools. There is rarely a line to check out and a couple folks are always available to help.

I prefer to shop at this store for things I could easily purchase elsewhere. The staff at Mitch's store is knowledgeable,very helpful and friendly, in fact. The store is clean,aisles neatly arranged and clearly labeled. If you need assistance, they are there. If you're a browser like myself, they don't hover. I bet they carry things that would surprise you! So if your tired of walking a mile between hammers and nails and blaring loudspeakers so loud you can't think or read a product label without being interrupted, shop at Mitch's.
