Generally, the Dollar General Stores are unorganized as I am assuming they receive too many deliveries that they are unable to stock neatly. However, this is the exception to the rule at 20 E. Washington Street. I was in there last evening and was impressed on how neat this store was. Will make this store in Peru my #1 choice from this point on. Great job staff!!

This store is basically brand new. The other store was smaller and the aisles were always crowded and very disorganized so they built a new, larger store. The first year it was awesome. Now this new store is crowded, aisles are full of unpacked boxes. Almost impossible for two carts to pass. I have heard many complaints. Obviously size was not the problem with the old store; rather management is the problem! I do love the addition of the frozen food section and refrigeration section but it is a shame that the same overcrowding and disorganization still exits at the new store.

The manager was extremely rude, not helpful at all. Both employees were standing behind the counter but making everyone use self checkout which was only accepting cards. When I said I was having trouble she very rudely told me that card only was printed in bold letters right in front of me. My question is what about those of us paying with cash??? I will never shop in this store again. It's the one on washington street in peru indiana by the way. I don't feel that people with such nasty attitudes should be working with the public I certainly hope something will be done about this but I'm sure it won't. They can't even keep the store clean or orderly. Apparently waiting on customers is too much to ask as well.

Very friendly customer service the employees are all intimately working and staying really busy at all times it seems to be very nicely kept and floors were clean as well as there is a lot of good variety as far as product selection goes.

Love Dollar General but I get anxiety in this store because the isles are always blocked and there is stuff all over the place. Someone is always working putting things away, but there is just too much stuff!

We have 3 at the moment in town and this one is trashy! Everytime I decide to stop in aisles are a mess. Shelves a mess and no real customer service!! Since there are 3 to choose from go to either the one on West Main street (the best of all 3) or go to the one off south Broadway but avoid this one on Washington street!!

I couldn't find an item on sale so one of the staff members searched it out in the back for me. I was pleasantly impressed by her actions. Keep up the good work!!!

People friendly and helpful at all 3 stores in Peru...North side store always has aisles cluttered. West and South stores aisles usually clear for wheelchair bound customers

Employees are friendly,kind and caring ,always willing to help or answer your questions.the stores clean,im in there often using my walker to get around they never treat me badly when i need extra time to move around or get threw register lines.

This one is better than the new one on south broadway.The store is clean but the attitudes are horrible.i live on south side and will drive across town to this one where im treated like a customer

Everything is easy to find, if you're having trouble finding something, all you have to do is ask an associate and they will help you with a friendly smile. Enjoy shopping there a lot.

I went there just a few minutes before they were to close and even had to ask the person who was working the register for help and instead of being rude or impatient this person took the time to help me and never once did I feel rushed.

Never open during Normal times close early due to no staff store is raggedy and on the floor and all the employees including the manager are rude and takes it out on customers because they hate there job they should just close down already and get more family dollars there useless never stocked anyway

Do not go to this place...over stocked products out in isle can not get threw..dark in back area of store..can not find anything..items not priced...feels like you are back in a cave..over priced...and not very nice people....just go somewhere else...

Store is always cluttered, you wait forever in line staff acts annoyed to wait on or help you.... and yet Peru is putting in another dollar general!
