This store does not deserve a star. They text me I live a half hour away by the time I get to the store they've closed because the pharmacist left didn't bother to transfer my prescription didn't bother to notify me they were closing and I had to be there at a certain time the lack of customer service at this store is absolutely unbound. CVS is unequivocally the worst pharmacy in the history.

I absolutely love the CVS on Broadway S in Peru IN. The people there are absolutely wonderful! It doesn't matter if you are in the pharmacy, walking down an aisle, checking out, they are extremely helpful & very pleasant!

Doesn't matter when you go cars backed up around the building..go inside 12 people in line! Last 3 days go to get my prescription 2 or 3 hours before closing according to their website and there's a sign! Closed!I will be switching all my business to another store.

Prescriptions on Aug. 17 are backed up for two (2) days. Why? Very disturbing for their regular customers who need to not run out of medicine. Very disappointed in CVS for not hiring enough employees to care for all the customers they have. Going to transfer all prescribed meds to Walgreens from now on. I was also told by the 55 year old female pharmacist that some customers are more important than others!!!! That straw broke the camels back. Never shop at this store ever again. Not to mention how dirty and run down the outside of the store is. As though CVS just doesn't care anymore.

I have worked at this store in the past and we made sure to take care of all the customers from the front of the store all the way to the pharmacy. Now it is all excuses why things are not done. This cvs is the worst cvs I have ever been to. If I could give this store now less then 1 star I would.

Very unprofessional, and disrespectful attitude. The manager couldn’t even help suggest what further to do to return an item so I could switch it out to the correct product. My receipt wouldn’t load the barcode to return the item, the same receipt I just received from the store! All she said, was to call the 1800 number proved, which I only found their store number. All I wanted was conditioner and not shampoo 😫

It’s crazy how everytime I come to cvs or just drive by it there’s a line out to the street, with Covid and these hard times I’m sure there are better ways and procedures we could take to speed things up I shouldn’t have to sit in a line for an hr and a half everytime… update 45 min later still in line this is outrageous!!!

Unfortunately this is the third time I am updating my review. CVS is right back to its old and awful ways. Hard or impossible to get anyone to answer the phone, scripts take over 24 hours to get filled, staff being short with people, lines clear to the front of the store. Clearly they are understaffed. Instead of taking it up with corporate it seems they take their frustrations out on the customers. Of course not everyone here is rude. Sometimes you can catch them on a good day and the lines are shorter and the staff are friendly. Wish we could see this more consistently from this store. They have been struggling for over a year now to maintain a pharmacy.

Should be 5 stars negative, worst pharmacy ever, drive up is run down and looks horrible and never open. The inside is not always open, only open 7.5 hours a day if they open. Lack of employee's, not enough incentive for anyone to work there. Maybe stagger lunch breaks instead of closing the pharmacy.

The staff is always super nice. But slow! And I have never waited on hold as long for any other company! It is ridiculous! I could have driven to town at this point! I have down so many other things including this review while listening to that gawdawful automated vaccine message. Please address this problem. I have been a store manager for 9 years and would be ashamed if someone waited on hold routinely like this considering the medications people are often calling about are the difference between life and death. Do better please.

This CVS is one if the best. The employees are friendly, caring and helpful. I always have employees asking if I need assistance finding product and make sure I find what I’m looking for. Drug stores have come a long way and this is at the top.The pharmacy staff are excellent, too. The pharmacists are always willing to explain anything about your scripts, and in a friendly easy manner. The techs are always helpful, too. These people are always so busy behind the counter, you never see them standing around just chatting, they are always working on something, and still find time to answer questions or offer assistance. They fill a lot of scripts, so be patient if it takes a while to fill your walk-in script. Thanks CVS staff!

After seeing all of these negative comments about our local CVS, I just wanted to come on here and say that I have never experienced any of the aforementioned negative experiences. I go to the pharmacy weekly for my chronic conditions and have been doing so since we moved to Peru, IN four years ago. The pharmacy staff always goes above and beyond to make sure your prescription is filled. If you run out they gladly call your provider to get additional refills and they are always so friendly even when having to deal with unhappy and sometimes downright rude and entitled customers. I have never been treated with anything but a smile by every single one of them ranging from pharmacy techs two pharmacists. A special shout out to Jenna who besides being super friendly is also very intelligent and will not stop working until she gets you what you need. We are very lucky to have CVS in our small town in with the high volume of customers they deal with daily I think they are doing a fantastic job. People will always find fault in everything but overall our CVS in Peru Indiana is fantastic. Thank you for staying open during the coronavirus pandemic and ensuring that the citizens of Peru receive their life-saving medications when other pharmacies closed. You guys are amazing and appreciated. Thank you!

CVS must have it in fine print somewhere that they only hire the most incompetent people available. I've never encountered a business/pharmacy as awful as CVS(every CVS, including other states) . It's near impossible to go to the pharmacy and not have to wait at least 10 minutes in line to pick up a script. Or to expect them to fill a script, and then they don't. Nor do they call you if there's insurance issue. Seriously the worst pharmacy you could ever go to.

They waited until the very last day to fill a med that I need to take daily. I found out today that their Pharmacy hours are now 10AM - 6PM. When I went there at 5PM, I was the 10th person in line in the store and there were at least 8 cars in the drive thru. Just out of curiosity, I went to Walgreens and found there was no one in line waiting for prescriptions and that their Pharmacy is open from 9AM-9PM. I highly suggest that anyone reading this review to transfer your prescriptions to Walgreens.

Edit Oct 14 2020-I had a really good experience with CVS in Peru last night. I experienced a very pleasant phone call with the Pharmacy part which I usually dread. But this time was very different. The employee named "Patty" was extremely helpful, cheerful, pleasant, eager to help. She seemed excited to be there at her job. She went out of her way to do what she could to help me. I really appreciate all the time she took to help me. I'm glad we have people like Patty working at CVS in our town. CVS in Peru is making a major turn around.

I have their hold music haunting my dreams and their automated services' script memorized at this point. I'm unable to do my job as I'm waiting on someone on the CVS end to do theirs by answering the phone. We're 22 minutes into round 2 of being on hold (called yesterday, remained on hold for 43 minutes without hearing a single employee answer the phone). I'm a God-fearing woman, but by golly do I want to throw hands every time I hear, "Get a free Covid-19 vaccine at a CVS near you. Walk-ins are welcomed or schedule an appointment at CVS.com. Walk-in vaccinations subject to availability." cycle back on the line.Edit: Took 29 minutes for someone to answer. Be prepared for long holds if you need to speak with a human. Also, they have COVID-19 Vaccines, just in case you miss that little announcement during your hold time.

This is my go to place for receiving my prescriptions from the pharmacy. Other pharmacies seem to drop the ball where CVS Pharmacy is very proficient. You can order your meds online and they will text you when they are finished. I highly recommend.

CVS in Peru is my store I love the people working and I understand why it takes so long to fill a script they have a lot of customers,I saw where one person said Walgreens is open 9-9 but they don't say that Walgreens are closed on the weekends and cvs is open 7 days a week,they answer my questions if I have any,they don't act like I'm taking up their time either Thank you CVS Peru!

I have been using this pharmacy for nearly a year and have had nothing but trouble the entire time. Scripts are rarely ready when they are supposed be. Their customer service is lacking. I spent 20 minutes on hold waiting to speak with someone in regards to a refill. I then called back 3 hours later to verify my script was ready and after 15 minutes of waiting I finally hung up.

Horrible. Went to get the Covid vaccine. 0 people waiting still took an hour to get it, absolutely no excuse. The whole time I waited I could hear the phone saying “6 pharmacy calls” so obviously they don’t answer the phone either.

Very unreliable. People should be able to trust they can get their medicine when they need it and CVS in Peru is never consistent and they are very unreliable. They hold inconsistent hours and are randomly closed.

If I could give no ⭐ I would Ive been on hold literally 3 an half hours trying to get meds for my Aunt... I'm still waiting an refuse to hang up till I talk to someone. This is outrageous. Very poor service. She has been a value customer for years and this is truly sad that I'm having such trouble to get someone on the line to get meds taken care of.

Absolutely terrible Pharmacy. Had waited 3+ hours for a prescription to be filled that they never actually looked at. Told me after an additional 45 minutes of waiting that they would now not be able to fill the prescription until tomorrow. Never go here if you have any sort of options besides them, do not give them any money!

Consistently not filling prescriptions. Getting as bad as McDonald's. Even if there is no one in line it takes 30 mins and you better double check to make sure you got everything.....Edit- During covid pandemic they have really stepped up their game. Still need to work on communications between prescribes but improving

For every one hood experience count on 5 awful experiences. You could build a house in the time it takes for this location to fill a prescription. When your 1 hour lunch break isn’t enough time there’s an issue.
